April 28, 200719 yr I'm going for 99 fishing and cooking too. Fishing for the love of the skill, it has been my highest skill as far back as I can remember, and i got it to 80 on rsc (all lobs back then, because thats how i made my money :) ) Although i'm doing it in Shilo Village til I run out of feathers, as it is the quickest XP, and I like fishing, but not fishing for an eternity. Cooking for the trim, it's fairly easy, plus i'll have the fish to cook, even though its trout and salmon.
April 28, 200719 yr im currently going for 99 thieving, i never used to like whn i was 53, atm im only 69, but plunder makes me love it, you take little breaks going to entrance :P, att, its a lazy skill you train cmb and dont select style i still like tho i always will. Str to max out i hate it Hits quite easy as i was doing slayer defence to max out i like it cos i use whip 180th to 99 Divination + 1st W36er Rambo, cannot pk call your friends bro :). Wait nevermind none of SAPK/PKS can. Kappa.
April 28, 200719 yr I got 99 fletching first, cos I didn't want to have an untrimmed wc cape when I got it.
April 28, 200719 yr I'm aiming for a hunter and defense cape atleast in a year. Defense I choose because I love the usefulness of the skill. Hunter I choose because its my favorite, and the 37mil profit is a bonus. I'm gonig for Hunter first, hopefully getting it in a few months (in the last 2 days I got over 400k xp!) Then i'll have to buckle down and p.c. to 99 Defense to trim the cape. Currently: 66 Hunter 80 Defense...
April 28, 200719 yr Im going for 99 Fishing for the love of it And i also got void bottoms cos PC is fun  My Gallery :: Deviant Art ->Gallery :: Favourites :: ::My blog ::
April 28, 200719 yr I enjoyed getting 99 agility, fishing, and wc more than all the others just b/c you can't buy those. Eventually when I get 99 Rcing I'll enjoy that b/c I haven't and never will use runners. I'll be 99 hunter soon that has been a fun one, kind of easy but at least you can't buy it
April 28, 200719 yr I completely dissagree with you. If people only trained the skills they loved, there wouldn't be people with all 99s out there, because there's no way someone could truly "love" all 23 skills currently in the game. Furthermore, if you ever want to be a good player, you're going to learn that oftentimes you train skills, not because you love them, but because in order to improve as a player, it's a must. I actually liked training cooking and thieving because as you level, you burn less and steal more successfully. As for Fletching (and now the 99 I'm after, Firemaking) I did particularly enjoy the skill and knew there wasn't a reason to get higher than 85 Fletching or 80 Firemaking, but I trained/am training them anyway because I know it would/will increase my total level, which makes me a better player. Eventually everyone's going to have to face the fact that the game isn't solely played because people love it, but because A. It gives you something to do, and B. It's a competition. |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|
April 28, 200719 yr Author but I trained/am training them anyway because I know it would/will increase my total level, which makes me a better player. Thats bad tho, total level doesnt make a player, his/her attidtude do.. when you have steel barsTHE GREAT RACE TO 99 FM!

April 28, 200719 yr I agree. I don't have a 99, but I think it should be for the love of the skill. I have the money to level various skills to 99, I have the ability, I have the time, but I don't have the want. I find that it's only worth doing if you like the skill enough to train it to 99. Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2hBarrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail
April 28, 200719 yr I did it for the love of the skill. Ever since I first was able to wield a rune scimitar, I had this odd love of the attack skill... I don't know why. But I decided I wanted it to be my first 99 no matter what. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Contact Via PM on forums.
April 28, 200719 yr I wish I had a 99 Skill Cape :| You really are proving yourself to be a spammer of the highest order. OT I would like to believe that my first skillcape will be for herblore as I really like that skill. But, as my second favourite skill is slayer, it will probably be Attack. Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.
April 29, 200719 yr I'm currently getting 99 wc and fletching. Wc because I can browse these forums while I train, it's fairly easy, and it'll supply me with logs for fletching. Fletching because I want to have a trimmed wc cape ( ) and for the money. > SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;0 rows returnedThere's no place like 127.0.0.1There are only 10 types of peoplein this world: those who understandbinary and those who don't.This statement is false.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
April 29, 200719 yr For the love of clicking. I don't get it. I'm pretty sure it's the love of the idea of the skill, not the love of the skill itself. I don't love PC'ing or alching for mage experience, I love the idea of being able to freeze someone in their place or hurl fireballs at them :-w . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
April 29, 200719 yr I got 99 mining mainly because somehow i enjoyed powermining, also to trim my thieving cape. Likewise, got 99 thieving since it is my favourite skill anyway Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

No, I just love being able to make better pots than you. April 29, 200719 yr I got 99 firemaking because I like it alot and have for years. That's also why I plan to continue training it beyond 99.

Thank you, Drgnslyer_15, for clearing that up. You're exactly right. I did not mean a better player, attitude-wise. Attitude doesn't make you a better player, it makes you a better person. Total level makes you a better player because it broadens the horizon of things you can do in the game. For example: I can burn/light everything in the game. I can make every potion in the game. I can fletch everything in the game. I can cook everything in game. I can craft every craftable rune in the game. I can basically kill any monster in game. I can use every prayer in the game. I can thieve everything in the game. I can kill every slayer monster in the game. (Dark Beasts I can do with pie) I can hunt and capture everything in the game. I can chop/cut any tree in the game. Tell me how many of those things you can do. Obviously I don't have all 99s, but my total level is so good that I rarely ever need to buy anything from other players (Unless I'm doing something in bulk and would rather not get it myself) so I'm more self-sufficient. |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|

Just look up my name and keep guessing different numbers at the end. Should get there after a couple thousand guesses  . April 29, 200719 yr i got cooking because i like the skill plus it has a cool cape. being easy leaned me towards it instead of theiveing. both are easy but with cooking i can browse forums at the same time. im only going for fletching now because i want some easy cash. my four capes that im getting before summer ends: cooking- for the love of the skill thieving- for the love of the skill fletching- for cash/ easy hunting- purely the love of the skill - i said i was going to get 99 even before it came out, the cash is an extra bonus 1707th to 99 hunter starting 99 fm soon
April 29, 200719 yr im currently going for the 99 mage and hunter cape, ill have them middle-end of summer and i cant wait. Mage because its such a useful skill and everyone thinks your awesome when you have 99 mage and hunter because i love the skill and the cape is rare and IMO both emotes rock. And then after those 2 my next 99s are wc and fm cuz i love wc and wat else would i do with those logs besides burn them and get the best looking cape with the best emote :D EDIT: After i did some calculations playing 3 hrs a day ill have mage and hunter cape by middle-end of july starting middle-end of june then ill have the wc cape by the end of august-september and the fm cape by middle-end of october. So in all about 4-6 months will equal 4 awesome 99's. [blingkachi50]
April 29, 200719 yr Author Awesome, so Who agrees with me? when you have steel barsTHE GREAT RACE TO 99 FM!
April 29, 200719 yr Cooking - Got it because I liked it, there were no capes at the time Fishing - The cape/emote was definitely an incentive (sp? ^_^), but I liked fishing too. Fletching - Because it was easy and made me money Firemaking - I enjoyed it and wanted the cape. The last 3M exp or so was definitely for the cape, I was getting sick of it :P Coming soon: Woodcutting - I like it + cape.
April 29, 200719 yr The skills I have gotten 99 in, I have done so because I enjoy the skill. I have trained skills that I do not enjoy, but would never plan to try and get them to level 99. Cape never was an incentive for me.
