Where do you go when Noobs are about.

99.9% of the time i'll just carry on what i'm doing. It's quite fun testing their boredom threshold. generally they'll leave within the minute or as soon as a higher levelled/richer looking person walks past.

if i just want a quiet place to get away from everyone to do some alchs or w/e then i go to BKQ and stand under the waterfall.. never seen anyone else there.

Generally a person who is high levelled but being a 'noob' spent forever at PC and can't get many places as it is.

I realise the difference between noob and newb. From my experience a newb will leave you once you politely say no (or yes depending on the question I suppose).

But Lletya is nice to escape for alching and fletching. Or you follow them so you 'dance' in circles.

Most of us hate noobs. I do especially when there doing nooby thing like "hey im new fr33 st00f pl0x" It really bugs me. But i have alittle secret. There are places you can go that most nubs arent famailair with. Ocasionally a noob will pop up who was exploring but that is really it. Some places i go is to the rogues den, or to mortaynia so i can escape them. In alot of these places you can work up your skills without being hassled. Im not saying all Newbs are bad but noobs are*.

My question is where syour Sweet Escape where the higher levels and more experienced, mostly nicer players are. Or do you just ignore them? Id like to know.

Thanks for reading this

Scratch Dog

*Noob-an experienced player who acts foolishly

Newb-a newer player who is not nessacerily dumb

just laugh about the comments they make, then it won't be fun anymore.

I know my little brother has a friend who just likes to annoy people on runescape.

The kid will just walk around calling people noobs or shouting spanish insults at them (those dont get censored;) ) And whenever they react or especially when they get angry he has a great time.

I heard the kid say, I was in the desert shouting that people were idiots and really sad for playing this stupid game and that they should quit the game and get a life blablabla and that a guy with a "yellow crown name" told him to stop it or that they would ban him, he didn't even know it was a jagexmod :/ Darn I would love to have seen that lol :XD: There were like 50 people gathered around him insulting him too. He does it all the time, and I asked my bro to warn me for the next time, I'd really like to see how angry people can get for a 12yr old having fun :XD:

I don't do anything special, i just dont pay attention to them. If you show you are affected, it will only encourage the immature people to keep going.

Yup.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

Sadly since i have benn hanging out at the willows in drynor i see many many low level players who act... Lets say foolish. I guess thats the price i pay for very good woodcuttting exp..

I have never run from a person acting like an idiot ( I don't like to use the word noob). I just ignore them and go on with my day. Remember just shout, turning my chat off or added to ignore (that list is your friend). Then everyone around knows that the moron is talking to himself. ::'

Tele other works wonders. I was hunting and a level 50 was insisting that I lead him to the hunting store in Yanille. Now I don't mind helping people out, but I do have a limited time to play RS, and frankly, don't often feel the need to drop everything I'm doing because someone's too lazy to read a map.

So I convinced him to turn accept aid on, *Teleother Lumby*

Since that day, I always carry teleother with me when I'm training.

The Ignore List works wonders when dealing with noobs. Long live the Ignore List! I usually go to areas that do not have many 'noobs' anyways such as Neitiznot, Lletya, Fishing Colony, Sophenam, Nardah or Port Phasmatys. These places are nice, quiet and I can see my friends' messages without scrolling through a load of chat history. Of course, I can just change my chat option to Friends Only or use the floating Chat-text.

If a player happens to ask me a skill-related question and that it is a reasonable question, then I'll answer them. If they want to be lead somewhere, I usually tell them to wait until I'm done whatever I'm doing if it happens to be somewhere I need to go or give them detailed directions.

Noobs are other players and they have every right to play the game however they see fit, so don't lose any sleep over them. They'll be here one day, if they break a rule, they'll be gone another day. C'est le vie.

I usaully just tell them that I put them in my ignore list (without actually doing so) and see what they say. It can get quite interesting sometimes. :-w
