May 24, 200719 yr I spent around 8 hours or so working on the quest without a guide. I spent about 3 hours running around like a mad man on one door trying to enter 2 crystals to make it green, but then I FINALLY stumbled upon the green crystal. I am EXTREMELY thankful however for my friends who helped me gather the item list and extremely GLAD my efforts weren't in vain as I've now helped hundreds (guessing) to do the quest via the tip.it guide. May 24, 200719 yr The color wheel was to figure out how the light would change colors when it went pasts the crystal right? I personally had to use a guide for half of it but then after the first half i got the hang of it and kept on doing it on my own. The shadows were annoying hitting constant 12s or something i cant remember very long time ago. I want Mep3 !
May 24, 200719 yr Well I don't think the people who cracked the quest just stayed there and tried opening the doors. They probably looked enough to understand the mechanism, then they made a plan, then they went there and did it. I'm not one of those though, I'm not gone insane yet. 2480+ total
May 24, 200719 yr I had to use a guide. I tried to do the quest on the first day it came out, but I spent hours running around wondering what this and that was. :? I had no idea what to do or what I was supposed to do, I was just putting crystals and mirrors (or lens?) in randomly. So I left it until tip.it released their awesome quest guide. :D No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

May 24, 200719 yr To be honest here I don't understand the quest at all without the guide. How is the colour wheel related to the quest and such. For the record, Coloured wheel tells you what colours combine to give you white light. Pick 1 colour and its direct opposite, those 2 add to give white. Colour wheel exist in real life, and the pair of colours that yields white light are called complementary colours. I use guides for quests if they were released before i got around to doing them. May 24, 200719 yr I did it on the first day without using a guide. Most annoying puzzle i've ever completed. There was a certain feeling of satisfaction from doing it by myself. May 24, 200719 yr I did it without a guide a few months or so after it was released. It was really annoying, but worth it. In my opinion the guides make the quest cape the easiest cape to get, because if you just follow the guide, you do almost no thinking of your own. 228/228 Qp
