Since the update of Varrock, Jagex added stray dogs, which you could interact with.

 

 

 

It's so cruel that Jagex added mean things to it, except anything nice.

personally i think andrew hates dogs. i mean there's a whole quest dedicated to cats, and most dogs are either needed to kill in quests (like hellhounds and the temple guardian from preist in peril quest i think it was) or slayer. i don't see any cats on the slayer list or any killable cats. a whole egyptain subculture worships them, and bob has his own shirt :XD:

And yep, andrew has written all the quests. Just because there are cat quests, and you kill dog like creatures in quests, doesn't mean that the creator of the game likes one animal/ dislikes another

2 ways to off a cat now:

 

1)Take your cat to the rat pits and let it get killed or die with your cat on you.

 

2)Go hunting those polar region, kyatt -things or whatever, they are sabertooth lion looking things.

 

 

 

I personally thought the rat pits were a bit over the top since they are like rooster fighting. (which is outlawed in alot of countries)

 

You don't have the option "kick stray dog", so I don't get the problem here.

Yeah, right. It's a freaking game. Who gives a [bleep] if you take care of a cat and shoo some mangy mutt when both are made of pixels.

 

 

 

If you want a reason why it's pixelatedly even, just look at what Oddfaery2 (another tipiter) does with his cats: Raises em to adults just for free deaths.

It's not really mean, you don't even have to shoo the dog, you can even feed it bones or meet if you want.

Maybe eventually you can go try to tame the dogs to keep them as a new pet. Jagex does seem a bit interested to adding new pets to the game.

 

 

 

Oh! I just had an idea. Completely off topic, sorry, but it's about pets.

 

 

 

They should add the ability to build an aquarium in your house. Then you could put the fish you catch in fishbowls in the aquarium for a bit of decoration. They are pretty useless now.
