Day 5

Well, we̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re halfway in our countdown to the 16th of June. Today̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s thread is probably the least ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åeye-opening̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

first, respond when read

I was not expecting the last one...good job on all of those. I like how you pick your topics, they are all really interesting. :-k

Come, be my light.

Mingle with my darkness

May we mix to create

Our own twilight sunset

The dusk breeze

Spreading clouds

On our murky horizon

From your warning I expected this to take awhile, but it was an engaging read and went by pretty fast. As usual, a great thread. Again, thank you for opening my eyes to more stuff. Not all corporations are stereotypically evil/corrupt. :)

I'd be biased and say AFLAC.

Lol, that's only because they're paying for part of my college. :P

Another good one. I've been thinking of getting a digital camera lately and this is sort of tilting me over to getting a canon.

The first section was kinda cool, though not so interesting as it was based largely on opinion and a topic of little interest to me personally. But when I got to GE, and saw it was #2... I pretty much couldn't wait to see what you had to say that could beat GE o_O. Pretty cool info on #2 and #1 :P.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Damn it, Trapical. you really know how to grab a person, don't you? Incredible writeup!

What lens do you have on your Canon? :-k

I love reading your days, they're all incredibly interesting.

I can't believe someone is actually taking time to think about what to write on the off-topic. Anyway a great read, as usual. Looking forward to the next five days. =D>

Airbus is better than Boeing, they only get all the decent contracts in the United States because they are an American company not because thair aircraft are the best.

Wow thank you so much for this incredible read. I never really thought the companies were actually pushing each other...

I thought of two more. Yahoo! and Viacom. Both are using or are going to be using their giant media power to further publicize going green. Viacom (and CBS its partner) especially have a huge ownership over a very large percentage of what you see on TV minus a few news channels, and therefore can advertise things like: voting, safe sex, HIV/AIDS testing, world hunger, drug companies, etc, especially to teens through the use of MTV, MTV2, MTVE, etc. And they can do this all over the world, since they have networks all over the world. They also have a huge part in the movie buisness, since they own Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks, both of which are famous for very influential films, especially directed at children.

A very interesting read, although I might have thrown Lockheed Martin into there for sheer prestige of people who get to work for it. And Google.

Another great topic trapical, i can't wait to read your next topic

I enjoyed reading the Canon article :)

Missed Microsoft and Coca Cola

A friend to all is a friend to none.

Good read. Some other companies might be just as deserving but hey it's your opinion

You know whats funny about CDC? My neighbor/friend's dad, Tom Skinner, works there, and I understand he has a prettty high position.

My Second Uncle works for the CIA. He can't tell anyone outside his immediate family his job, including us, so I have no idea what he does, but it must be pretty important.

Ah, but Airbus gets all the contracts in Europe because it is an European company don't you see? The only fair testing ground in the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, since they don't make their own planes. The Middle East favors AirBus, Asia favors Boeing, and Australia buys both. So we are back to a tie. And indeed both companies are spectacular, making a jet is no small achievement. I gave credit to Boeing in my post since I was impressed one country could pull it off as opposed to a continent, and I gave credit to Boeing for still being in the business after about 100 years, compared to AirBus that came out in the 1970s.

That's cool, I know a guy that was a foreign exchange student from Australia in middle school. I kept in touch with him as he joined the Australian army and then he got transfered to the ASIS (Australian Secret Intelligence Service, their CIA). He doesn't talk to me that much anymore though, obviously <.<

Notice how I never said I took that picture.... I do own an older Canon but for the post I used a picture which I found on photo.net. Here is a link to the image and camera details: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6065405&size=lg

A very interesting read, although I might have thrown Lockheed Martin into there for sheer prestige of people who get to work for it. And Google.

No kidding, Lockheed is an amazing company. Insanly high tech, and the engineers that work there are the finest in the Industry. I didn't mention them since they don't do much civilian work though, so not many people could relate to them.

Missed Microsoft and Coca Cola

I know, I missed a lot of good ones really. Funny you mention those two, as I am a Coke addict and I like Microsoft a bit more than the average iPod owner does, ha. But yea, there are just so many companies and my post was already massive :|

2003676992682512083_rs.jpg

Your articles are a must read, I absolutely love to read them and I'm not gonna be happy when you end them. Nice comments there and some good points, thanks for the read!

;>

Amazing read, again. I'm actually looking into getting a camera, so Canon it will probably be.

The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.

Why don't I like Sony? Their unsavoury advertising practices. For example, announcing a delay in the PS3 a few weeks after Christmas. Then announcing another delay a few months later. It's obvious they knew how far behind schedule they were to begin with but waited until people hadn't bought rival consoles to announce how far off schedule they were. Not to mention how stupid it was to price it at $800.
