How often do you report rule-breakers? It's a simple question, and there is no wrong answer (unless you lie :shame: ).

I have quit RuneScape. I have posted on the Leaving sticky saying so. Goodbye.

I report eveybody I feel needs to be reported, however in a lot of circumstances I feel it is better to educate a player rather than report them.

Sometimes reporting is just over reacting and expaining what they have donw will have a better effect than an inbox message from Jagex. But will definatly report when it's needed.

If its something wrong and annoys me like advertising and macroing i report hoowever I dont report every macroer I see.

Yeah, I guess if it's a niave new player who foolishly hasn't read the rules, I guess you can teach them something and let them go, if they're not a macro. But if you're a level 21 or so player, you should know better.

I tend to report. I wish there was less of a time limit on the snapshot 60 second thing, because I sometimes see more than one offence, and have difficulty deciding which of the two (or more) is worth reporting. (Scammers.....urrrrgh *shivers*)

Acero_Frio.png

I don't bother with reporting swearing, unless it's really offensive... but I report most other offences.

Since downright badmanners don't count as rule breaking, I actually see very few cases of outright rule breaking. I recon I make one or two reports per week.

I report autotypers and people I don't like because I know they'll get an offense because Jagex's CS is so horrible.

Who the hell reads the terms and conditions? They're like forty-six billion pages long. But the rules are obvious. Don't offend, don't scam, don't cheat. Anyone who doesn't know those rules, no matter what level they are, should know better, naive newbie or level 21 or so. That said, I'll only report people if they're personally attempting to harm me. Macroers needn't bother be reported. They just won't enjoy the game and that's their own loss.

I don't bother at all unless rule breaking is directed towards me.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

I report as much as possible =)

i report all autos cause they make me mad and people who try to scam/lure me or call me bad name :XD:

I do want rule breakers ridden from the game, but honestly look at this scenario:

You walk into Wal-Mart, a huuuge store. Because they can't be bothered to place security cameras in the store they put the responsibility of watching for rule-breakers on the customers.

You're title really says it all: All you an accessory.. of Jagex?

Personally I like to be the customer in this relationship, as I am the one paying, and Jagex are the ones recieving my payment. Whether I'm F2P (ads on top of page) or F2P, Jagex is gaining revenue for letting me use their services.

I always report people who is breaking JAGeX's rules, with one exception; Wc-autoers. If I would report all of those I saw, that would become the only thing I did. Because they're to many, and I don't got so much time so I can spend the half of it reporting autos.

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

I don't report anyone who doesn't directly affect my gameplay... this includes failed scam attempts. Only if I'm waiting for someone and I'm bored.

You're being watched.

not so much because if you gonna do that you havee to report like 100 each day so i think 1 or 2 a day

I have never reported anyone.. Not worth the time

I've read up, and there's some pretty interesting (and surprisingly, intelligent) replies. Myself, If I'm skilling or merchanting and I see macros/autoers, usually I do, but if I've been there for a long time, I don't. But If I'm casually doing nothing, sure, what the hey. Keep it coming, people. best emote evah!!! \' \' \' yay!!

I'll report wc-autoers when im air running most because im bored but for everyone else, ill let the p-mods sort them out.

Rune store autobuyers are my "shoot on sight" for reporting, they really are the lowest of the low, and there's usually only one or two of them - also, since they may be carrying a considerable amount of cash or runes, if they get banned, that's a loss of materials for their botmaster.

I only report someone when they're breaking the rules and are aware that they're doing so.

If it's something like a new player asking me where I live (which is pretty common) I just tell them that it's against the rules and answer any question they have to ask me. :)

Pretty much what Dragon said.

Thread terminated.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

I hardly report people, I go in debate with scammers and name-callers.

Macro's, well there are just too many of them on the F2P worlds, you need like 50 minutes to report them all, and I'm not wasting my time on that.

In most cases I regard reporting as tattletaling...
