June 19, 200719 yr I'm just wondering, how many of you guys are into songs made by foreign artists/bands? To me, it's not about the lyrics. I don't care if I don't have a flippin' clue what the song is saying or what it's about. It's the whole rhythm that really matters. I've got a playlist with around 1gb of songs in a different language :XD: My brother got me into french hip-hop recently. To be honest, they sound just as good as any other. Anyone wanna share their thoughts? Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine...
June 19, 200719 yr This would be better in some other boards, but we got so many people here who aren't from english speaking countries ;) For them most of the music is foreign. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
June 19, 200719 yr I have no idea what Rammstein songs are saying, but I still like them. Some Ill Nino songs are in spanish/partly in spanish, and I enjoy them too.
June 20, 200719 yr i agree i don't care what the lyrics are as long as it sounds good i like alot of epic like music and most is in other languages New Sig Coming soon!
June 20, 200719 yr Isn't that a Megadeth song? Haha. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
June 20, 200719 yr Yes, I do. A lot of good metal bands don't speak english so I tend to have a lot of finish/noweigien (sp?) and italian bands.
June 20, 200719 yr I listen to many. Most of my iPod is in another language. The vast majority is: TikTak- Finnish Grup Hepsi- Turkish Daddy Yankee- Spanish (Puerto Rico) Superbus- French Le Roi Soleil- French Cirque Du Soleil- Various including made-up languages Basshunter- Swedish Palo Habera- Czech Yannick Noah- French Kate Ryan- French (Belgium) Eurovision- Various Aventura (ft Don Omar)- Spanish O-Zone- Romanian Shakira- Spanish (Columbia) Il Divo- Spanish Luna- Croatian I think, or Serbian Bebe- Spanish (Spain) Nena- German Federico Aubele- Spanish (South America) Petter- Swedish Me doing staff.
June 20, 200719 yr I really don't mind foreign language (most of it is foreign to me anyway :P). Sometimes it actually adds to the music (Haggard, Therion, etc.). June 20, 200719 yr Yeah, Rammstein is my fave foreign band. I have no clue what they're saying, but that doesn't matter. I quite like Manau as well... French R&B. Lacuna Coil are awesome... although they sing most of their stuff in English, she is Italian. Same with Rasmus who are Swedish I think, but then again, most of their stuff is in English.
June 20, 200719 yr Molotov is one of my favourite bands and they're from mexico so most of their lyrics are in Spanish (though there is often a mix of English and Spanish).
June 20, 200719 yr I love some foreign music, although I prefere it to be in English. Metal I can listen to it in whatever though, the growling and some screaming can't be comprehended regardless of language. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
