Do you ever have drop party?, i just had on in draynor on my pure.

 

from 100k i have 60 left and alot of stuff gone, but im happy :)

I don't see what the point of them is. Losing your stuff?

I've hosted a few in classic before they were pretty fun, but I've lost sight in them now.

i do drop partys all the time, did one for zoidnerd when he got 99 attack, did one for my other friend who just got 90 hunter. I average on dropping like 3mil a party.

I have done about 3 big drop partys, and about 10 smaller. I think it's very funny, and I enjoy it very much.

 

I uses to host drop partys when I reach a certain goal.

A title is like a first impression, you don't want to mess it up.

I have had some small drop parties in the past, and I've always found it funny to watch 20 people run toward the same item. Totally worth giving away 300k each time. I also did them on f2p servers so everyone wasn't so demanding.

I didnt give a real drop party yet, i mean dropping 2 rune full helms and a scimmy in edge isnt a real one..!

They are fun, yes, but usually some kid complains he didn't get any or he got something good and begs for more! :? I don't host drop parties anymore because of that. If I am, I'll just drop it in my house with a few friends. Public parties just seem like a waste to me. Don't get the wrong idea though, if I see one happening, I'm gonna get the drops :wink:

cabbage bombs count in this?? haven't hosted any drop parties with bigger values, a few rune items is the most i've dropped i think = /

I have been hosting drop parties every Christmas since 2004. I always drop at least 10% of my gold and at least half of my items. In fact all my item gathering for the entire year leading up to christmas revolves around this one drop party.

 

 

 

hopefully this year I will be able to make 10 million so i will be able to give away at least 1 million.

im not an unfair person but i hate doing drop parties for 3 reasons

 

-1- there is always some lower levels that expect like 3rd age or something cuz im a moderately high level :oops: (exxagerated a bit there lol) but seriously, im not rich, i often have more than 1mil in bank but im not uber rich

 

-2- the amount of people that ask for free stuff cuz theyve got to go,(none of them ever do go )and then flame me cause i want to be a fair person and drop everything rather than giving it over a trade(whats the fun in that?)

 

-3-in f2p and most p2p worlds, its encouraging the whole newbie motto of,"higher levels like to give out free stuff to lower levels such as myself". i think it encourages begging and harrasment of higher level players

Anyway... I just go to them to get free stuff, I never have them. I can afford to drop my stuff but I really dont want too.

Last one I saw was this guy dropping allsorts - buckets, wildblood seed, 100gp, chisel, bronze pickaxe, etc. He thought everyone loved him lol! Started with about 10 people there and they all left after the first few drops. I was the only one left, so he traded me and offered me rune plate and legs saying he was saving them for last. I declined and walked off laughing to myself. :XD:

I don't have the recorces on hand normally to pull off a good one. Last time I did one (and the only time I did a good one) I owed several friends several favors each and ended up running around RuneScape getting things. But I do attend, I've gotten items that have proved invaluble later on. Example: This real [cabbage]y drop party, I got 1900 feathers, a week later I get members and suddenly those feathers became veary usefull for the beginings of my fletching.

I did once, for my 85 Mining party. It was just small, with a few clan members to get the stuff, and anyone who just happened to pass through where we were. I dropped a few rune ores I had mined from stouting, and I think some sort of Trimmed Rune Skirt, and probably a few other little things. I didn't have to much money to throw away at the time :P

I still don't quite understand why someone who just got 99 in a skill would drop millions. Shouldn't other people give that person stuff as gifts? So I haven't, and never will host a drop party.

At any event whether it be my friend getting a 99 skill or whatever I always drop a load of junk from my bank about 500k+ each time. Mostly I cba to sell them. I always go someplace private like upstairs in some house and drop there to advoide loads of unknown players ruining the party.

50 r2hs dropped (valued over 100k at that point) 200+ mith sets 20+ rune sets (valued WAY over what they are today) 100+ addy sets, some lower lvled weapons, money, santa hats

 

 

 

yeah, I was kind of a big deal...some kid made a website and my party was the only one he ever put on.

Sometimes, when I'm cleaning out my bank, I shout: "Dropping some noob stuff!", and a lot of people start following me. Then I drop my junk, and they're happy.

Alright well i'm with drop parties I love hosting them it warms your heart when people thank you but you feel like kicking peoples butt when they start begging for more stuff because they didn't get anything

 

 

 

As well people who host really good drop parties and have like massive parties to celebrate acheivments it never works because so many noobs(and i don't use that word often) turn up for free stuff there are several tip.iters that i know of that have had this problem and had to kick everyone out of there house and only do it with there friends.
