what exactly is a door spammer..? :|

 

 

 

If it is what I think it is, where a person (a) just basically stands one side of the door, when someone tries to open it and walk through, that person (a) then closes it and prevents the person (B) from walking though?

 

 

 

So they might restrict the amount of times someone can open and close a door per minute? 5 minutes?

 

 

 

would this not cause complications in mini-games such as Castle wars and Pest Control?

Its a simple fix really. Like the portals leading out of the waiting room in CW.

 

 

 

Or they could be idiots and make it so the door is always closed, and we have to walk out one by one....

Personally I think it's just a pointless thing to get people anoyed when they're trying to walk through a door. Never heard it called a door spammer before though

I've seen it done in high wild, to prevent someone from getting into the pirate hut to x-log. Other than that some people use it to kill low level people trapped in a room with aggressive monsters (zammy wine, lesser room in mage tower, etc)

one time i saw somoeone killing someone at the zammy wines. luckily i teleotherd the guy and let the other person out

I've also experienced this. It has happened when I've been smelting in al kharid and then an evil chicken appears when I'm at the furnace. So these so called door spammers then close the door and prevent me from escaping so that the chicken could kill me and they'd get my stuff. This gets me so mad and i usually say something nasty to these guys :evil: . It's easy to escape though, just let someone else open the door and then quickly go through it. Anyway something should be done to prevent these guys from doing, it's pointless and annoys people.

instead of manually opening the door and walking throught it once you open the door if its closed you walk throught automaticlly.thats a simple fix for me anyway

Door spammers - a bunch of lifeless, soul-sick, pointless, autosexual, cretins falling just short of [developmentally delayed], with a small bolus of poo for brains and a penchant for making people cross the road with their breath.

I saw a guy lose a guilded kite through door spammers at lumby spinning wheel. Had a full invent n didn't get to it quick enough... some noob got it and sold back for full rune -.-

well i was ranging gaurds and some kept opening the door on my pure so that could be door spamming to

Lol this will be a good update. I was praying in that altar at level 38ish wild and all these level 120+ people logged in and I couldent get out cause of some leve 3 door spammers of theirs -.-. I eventually got out though... Just barely

Jagex means by "door-spammers" is

 

 

 

Person A opens the door, then Person B closes it, Person A opens again, and then Person B closes, basically preventing someone from irritating another by not allowing them to pass a door.

Yeah, how fun for someone who NEEDS to get to the bank and there are a bunch of door spammers there. For example, I was waiting in lumby for my friend who was out pking. He killed a guy, and then teled back to lumby to hit the bank quick as he was poisoned and low hits. Three door spammers were there and wouldn't let him into the castle. He was pissed. So I stood a little ways away from the door and said "Cheapest rares in the game right here!!!!" Got the door spammers away and saved my friend. This update will be good, it will save some people from the noobs who are to low in any skills to go make they're own money and need to trap people who are dieing.

i hate door spammers too. seen to many of them at blue drag cage in hero's guild basement.
