The solution to this is a skill, or a few skills that are very difficult to raise, or better yet, make all skills harder, because for as long as runescape existed, skills have been doing nothing but getting much easier. Another one would be lvling stats past 99, to about lvl 120. Remember that xp required to lvl doubles every seven lvls, so getting from 99-106 is just like getting lvl 1-99, and getting lvl 115 would be like getting 99 four times over, now try maxing out farming.

 

 

 

Well that won't stop anything, but it will at least slow it down alot, especially if you can raise stats up to lvl 115, the people who just recently got lvl 2277 will have to re do it another three times.

 

 

 

Your math there is wrong. If exp doubles ever 4 levels, that would mean it would look like this:

 

 

 

99 -- getting 99 once

 

106 -- getting 99 twice

 

113 -- getting 99 three times

 

120 -- getting 99 four times

And if they made the max 120, what logs would you cut after lvl 99? What would you fletch after lvl 99? What would double laws do to law prices? What would you fish? What would you cook? Mine? Smith? Ect.

For example 78 is 1/8 of 99, 85 is 1/4, 92 is 1/2.

Back to the original topic, is 20 people with max stats too much? Not in my mind. These 20 people represent .002% of the RS members. If only .002% of the playing public have maxed stats, then Jagex have done well in creating a game with extreme longevity. Changes to the game such as cook X etc have made some skills easier to get a 99 in than others, but easy is not something you should really say when looking down the barrel of 13M+ exp points!

Well the max experience in any given skill is 200 Million XP. I think I read on these boards that that would equal level 126. Coincidental or eventual scary update? :ohnoes:

You all say they make skills easier. True, but they have to. They have to update the game, and when they don't release better ways to train things everyone rants: lame updates, no-one uses them.

Well, Jagex is supposedly always working on a skill, but like that's going to stop them maxing out again. I suppose, 4.6B exp is a challenge within itself.

 

 

 

200M construction, prayer and farming experience, expensive within itself.

 

200M farming, slayer, runecrafting and crafting. Takes a long time.

jagex has to make the game to be aceivable for the average play and it is the choice of those who play in excess to reach those extreme levels, as long as your enjoying the game what does it matter what other people are doing?

Yes but how many hours of gameplay is that? With farming you can go do another skill or just log off and wait...

World of warcraft has tons of level 70's... I don't think 20 players with max stats is enough ! Considering their are 1 Million members, 20 is nothing.

I'm not jealous, or trying to abuse progress, it's just that I am rather worried that these people spend so much time on the game, that they get lvl 99 in everything.

 

 

 

I could never do that and still keep on doing sports and seeing friends, I would have to devote my life to runescape, and either live on my own, or have parent's and/or a partner who didn't mind.

It is possible to be at the top on the game and maintain a good life outside of RuneScape. Not everyone is like you and can't play RS for more than an hour. So get out.

 

 

 

You fail to realise that a lot/some people do have this problem. Take NovaLyfe for example.

They have spend wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much time playing this game,if ppl without 2000 skill total make quitting post because they play too much RS i cannot imagine someone with all 99 having an awsome social life,sorry...

Well, it does show that Runescape is getting slightly easier everytime. I find it kind of disturbing seeing more players getting maxed out 99s. As someone said: "it's progress" I guess.

they probably have a different lifestyle that they can play rs for so long and have alot of free time on thier hands also they manage thier time and most have been playing 4+ years to get those stats that people think that they can get in 1yr then say woops that person has no life

 

 

 

i accually do not think that 20 is alot when thier is over 1million people in runescape and if their was noone with all 99s people prob wouldnt know that it was possible and if you look at the exp people use after 99 then its usually the easier skills, just cause jagex makes the game easier doesnt mean anything these people like total level while other people like other skillz look at how far people accually go in the hard skillz. people that just got 2277 havent been playing as long as zezima has

 

 

 

thiers still 99s that have less than 1k players with level 99 thats 1% of all players i think and the people with all 99s got thier gradually yes maybe they spend alot of time on the game or maybe they make a 99 goal and stick to it.

Having seen most of these posts, it seems that making getting lvls harder (maybe by making up to lvl 115) would be the best way to limit those maxers.

Somebody told me a while back that ppl like Zezima bought there skill lvls i was wonderin if thats true? I'm not willing to do that though cuz its against the rules.

Maybe, but what happens once all 115s are reached? They can't put the marker up again. I've seen it somewhere that theres a limit to it all, like having 2 bil as a maximum amount of money. So like I said, what happens once those levels are reached? Consoles anyone?
