Has anyone noticed that Ancient Magick Teleports never leave Eastern Runescape. They only go the the Wildy, Canifis, Edgeville, Digsite, and ice Mountain - all in Eastern Runescape.

 

 

 

Thoughts?

maybe its because the ancient people lived mostly in the desert, hence it being from desert treasure, so they didn;t explore past eastern Runescape? w007 first post! never had one before :thumbsup:

That's were fighting mostly took place in the God Wars. Plus the wilderness and Morytania were Zamorak territory and they're in the east.

Because Jagex are noobs and didn't think to put teles in like Yannile TBH.

or maybe, just maybe, they originally planned it to be f2p, but changed their minds! of course, that wouldnlt explain the digsite or canifis....

yes, why does the glory only tele you to f2p places? maybe intended for f2p but then they said they suck they don't pay so no updates. but then they sucked and didn't change the places you tele to.

Because Zaros controlled eastern runescape.

 

 

 

I was beginning to wonder if no one knew this. :?

 

Zaros controlled that portion of gielinor, so it̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôs kind of obvious that̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôs where his teleport spells would lead.

How old is the Glory Amulet? I'm pretty sure it was around before I signed up which was about 2 years before RS2 i think which would be...5 years? Maybe The mp was smaller when they made it.

when you think about it it is kinda weird that there is no ardougne teleport thingy since one of the quest boss's is just north of ardy :roll:

 

 

 

oh well, i guess we just have to live with it :anxious:

And lunar only have teles in the western region.

 

 

 

 

 

Lunar = West

 

Modern = Middle

 

Ancient = Eastern

 

 

 

well, technically if you meant middle as entire RS, then yes i agree, but most likely the reason is the location of the magick's origins, and since lunar is far north west, and ancients are far south east the magic spells only teleport to where they thought would be the best spots. and since normal magic has been around for much longer (not really, kind of just known to people for longer) they cover the majority of runescape, and have teleport access to every area.

Jagex probably did that on purpose, ancienters just have to accept that that is one of their disadvantages. The offense power of ancient magics is quite incredible. For example, the ice barrage spell freezes for 20 seconds(the longest time ingame), can hit a maxium of 30(and often with 94 magic), most of the time doesn't fail, and to top it all off it's a multi-hit spell!

exactly, already had the 3 most required when ancienting and with the rooms update I'll add the other 3 as well :P

 

If you want to be able to use all teles use Lunars and the swapbook spell for other teleports.

Hmm, Alright, i'll take a stab at why teleports are in the locations as they are:

 

 

 

Modern, ofcourse, they had to base that on all the major cities in runescape, so there ya go. You later unlock also Ardougne, Yanille, again major city teleprots for a major favor you do there. Trollheim and Ape Atoll arent really into this line, but you only get them again after doing a major favor.

 

 

 

There is also a few tele-other spells, but those go to the same locations, nowhere new...

 

 

 

Lunar is also pretty easy to explain. Find a place of importance near water, and there ya go. Initially a good guess is to imagine the Moonclan people just taking a boat across the northern seas and wherever they thougth something was important, theres a tele location, but that doesnt explain Catherby and Port Khazard. Note: The Ice Plateau teleport isnt the same as that of the Ancient spellbook.

 

 

 

Ancient telespots are scattered throughout the former realm of Zaros. His grip on what is now Morytania and Wilderness was a pretty strong one.

 

The Digsite is where an ancient city is being dug up, known as Senntisten (later as Zaros was replaced by Zamorak, Senntisten was conquered by Saradomin's followers, and renamed to Saranthium). And even Paddewa, which has been a ghost town since Zamorak was driven away from it, was part of Zaros' empire. Human later reclaimed this ghost town and renamed it Edgeville...

 

 

 

 

 

My personal favorite teleport spellbook is Lunar. I have my house in Rellekka, and there is a 'secret' teleport from Lunar Isle (after you home-teleported there) back to Rellekka. Just bank your Seal of Passage, and talk to anyone but a banker. In my house I have a Glory, and 6 portals to: Lumbridge, Varrock, Canifis, Falador, Ardougne, and Yanille. If I needed to go to Canifis, I'd just grab the runes for it needed, and mined some clay in Rellekka (theres the clay rock and the iron pickaxe spawn). So I can go for almost free of charge to nearly everywhere in the civilized areas...
