Kiriyama
If a mod feels this is in the wrong forum, can he/she please move it? Yes the title is true. Some math in this topic. Face it, we get 140% experience at level 100+, thats 40% more per game. Per hour we can do 30 games max, thats 2 minute games all the time. 120 Tickets per hour. Compare that to the 40 tickets max per hour of before. We get 3* the tickets. Well 40 tickets before. Lets use the old equation for exp per hour max at say level 90 str 90*90/6*40= 54000. So one ticket got us 1350EXP. Now. (90*90/6*0.35*100*1.10=51975) + (90*90/6*0.35*20*1.02=9639) 51975+9639= 61614EXP. Thats 7614exp more per hour. Assuming you Trade in 100 tickets then 10 tickets. ____________________________________________ Really needs a change back. The exp is getting out of hand. Ichimaru
It's fine how it was then. It's fine how it is now. So, you just accept whatever happens, without trying to understand the situation? There's always a way to improve things...
aj926
well... you still need 100+ combat for this. And you can get the same exp from using certain training spots. sooooo :-w
InkofDeath
I think many had already figured this out, but keep it open. Jagex is still fighting with pures, and trying to screw them over. ^^ I'm just glad lvl 100s and higher can still train at pc, although slayer is a better choice imo. SAGE
I was anticipating Jagex to admit to their mistake of releasing the darned thing. Now, not only have they completely gone out and defeated the purpose of the original update, which was a fun mini-game for all players who can work together to save the Void Knight, not for the higher leveled players to band together and collect huge amounts of experience but they've increased the experience that comes with it. Guess I shouldn't of gotten my hopes up; any informative update about a problem is removed once it's fixed - Jagex can't handle the idea that they, like all others aren't perfect. Tim
personally im glad. high levels means more experience needed for a level so i think it fits in quite well. we are now seperated from the rude pures (no offence to the nice ones) and get the experience we, the higher levels who used more time to level, the rewards we get. Lord Diddy
One point your missing, granted better experience, but you lose about 1 in 3 games. Ive even lost a few in a row. I also hate how Jagex turned this minigame for combat-experience to a more barbarian assault type game. Why so long for this update? If they had started Pc like this then it wouldn't of "ruined" runescape.

book_of_metal
well, i hate that i get stuck in a boat w/ a Ton of 70's. For 10 games i was the highest combat lvl in my boat. Then i just went to the 40+ section Check out my 50M+ Blog
Capone_Sabre
I totally agree. Jagex have made a huge mistake on this one. From the news article on the Jagex website: Our general aims with rates of experience are to make features worthwhile training on while not being so good that they render other training methods obsolete and it is this balance that we have worked hard to achieve. At level 99 you get 616 xp per point, including the 10% bonus. 4 points per game, you could do 30 games an hour. That's 120 points which = 73,920xp per hour. Assuming you do on average 250 damage per game, that's 500 xp a game or 15,000 xp an hour. Total =88,920 xp per hour. Clans now have a 100% win rate due to the 100+ combat requirement on the boat, so losing games is not an option. How the hell is that balanced? A mini-game that carries no risk at all is so much quicker that it makes any other kind of training obsolete. And you can still easily get 99 range and 99 magic without casting a spell or firing a bow. Capone Sabre since April 2001.99 Attack, Defence, Strength and Hitpoints Achieved January 2005. Capone_Sabre
Thanks. I've corrected the figures. Speak to a 120+ from one of the "high level" pest control clans. They have a 100% win rate and finish all games in under 2 minutes (15 seconds to kill the last portal is plenty enough). And most crucially, they are still using pest control to train. Which proves the point in itself. Capone Sabre since April 2001.99 Attack, Defence, Strength and Hitpoints Achieved January 2005. When it still meant something. Even if you don't use PC until 100 combat now, 100 combat is very easy to get. It only takes about 6m combat xp. You could then get the remaining 33m combat xp you need for all 99 melees at the insane rate pest control gives. And not to mention, 99 range and 99 mage without risk or cost. As for pures....I just don't care. :| Capone Sabre since April 2001.99 Attack, Defence, Strength and Hitpoints Achieved January 2005. When it still meant something. Latinoking
Basically if your under 100 combat you're screwed plain and simple. How is this like BA? Theirs no bloody tactics... 100+ boats are now losing games. They need to return the exp and have no retarted sheilds... @m4tty - PC should be removed? Why? And don't say something like "0m6 70n5 0f p30p|3 4r3 n0w 63771n6 126 c0mb47 4nd 7h3y 4r3 4|| 63771n6 99 1n c0mb47 4r345 wh3n 7h3y 5h0u|d h4v3 h16h3r 0v3r4||. 7h3y 5h0u|d 4|| 60 4nd 7r41n w17h 5|4y3r b3c4u53 1'm 0|d f45h10n3d." xpx
so you kill a portal and enter another game in 15 seconds? you can max at about 25 games per hour, not 30. And the experiance is worse than it was, about 30k worse at maxed stats(130k vs 100k), so its still easy xp. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. icedearth06
Its way better now. The only thing is that the second boat always has tons of 70's that do nuthin. the shields defiantly by far the stupidest things, and the lowering of XP. More Tip.it Friends Needed! WildxYak
I'm finding the Intermediate boat is losing quite a lot of matches but there are no tactics. The old method won more often but once everyone has the hang of it then I assume it will be better. 99: Agility 28/12/14|Thieving 20/03/

I levelled all my combat skills by doing slayer. If you play the updated PC the right way, You may win almost all the games excpet for the occasional fluke or 2. I enjoy it better now since you have to be aware of which portal shield has been lowered. It's not as boring as the old pc.
