ive tried luring him but when i get him lured wright he sort of bounces of the wall and back in hitting range off me.When i do get him lured their dead on with the dummy i cant attack him.i tried but i cant see how you can keep that going guy after fuy because you take a few damage just luring him over.

Hmmm, sounds like the new prayers are pritty good. Ill get them after my 99 def. But ill have to do the Holy Grail quest first :oops: Looks like a pritty good update overall though.

Grr I'm so pissed off atm. Wasted like 50k worth of food and pots on last 2 attempts. First one brought wrong stuff got up to 2nd to last one. Just then got up to Lancelot hit him 3 times, but it didn't posion. So I was sitting there hiding behind a dummy regenerating waiting to take a jab at him, and he just disappears! :evil:

Are there any hally tactics for the knight killing thing? I see the dummy part but of course you cant hally there, and no doubt Jagex will remove it too...

Woot. I took in Torags, D Square, Whip, etc., some food, a Restore potion, and Combat potion, and pwned the bulkily dressed knights.

I only got the 4th one to stop attacking when he was at low health, and I thought he was just a bit cowardy.

Confusing, yet, overall, a fun and diverse quest - with LOTS of new stuff. Love the new prayers :P

It took me three attempts to beat the 8 knights (my stats are in my sig.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the process I learned certain knights are weaker toward certain types of attacks. I used a whip for most of the fights, but Sir Palomedes and Sir Lucan (lvls 118 and 120) have good slash defense but are more vulnerable to crush. They were quickly beaten with a d battle axe. Sir Kay (lvl 124) is weaker to stabbing attacks so I used my ddp++ on him, which is handy too since the next battle is Lancelot (lvl 127) and you definitely want to save your dagger specials for him. Unload 4 specials and then switch to the whip and finish him off.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wore d legs, rune chest, climbing boots, barrows gloves, neitiznot helm, d square, legends cape, whip, and glory. I was thinking a ring of recoil would be handy too, but i didn't have one so skipped it. but it's an idea. on my second failed attempt Lancelot only had about 10 hp left when he killed me, so the recoil ring would have made a difference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was my inventory when i finally succeeded: I brought a super set (4), 2x regular restore (4), and ddp++, d battle axe, and 21 sharks. I ended up using 3 doses of each of my super set pots, 5 doses of restore, and 14 sharks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's vital to keep an eye on your stats, as your defense and strength will be going down. keep in mind that everytime you take damage you are also losing some of your stats. if you let your defense reach 0 you won't last long at all. And if your strength reaches 0 it doesn't matter how long you survive, you won't be killing anyone. With the above mentioned potions I never let my stats drop below 70, and most of the time they were actually boosted above normal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All in all I found the challenge rather enjoyable. And the rewards are great. That's a lot of XP! And the new prayers make slaying all kinds of fun.

Don't forget when you switch weapons to make sure you are also using the intended attack style. For example, if you switch from the whip to the axe but continue using a slash attack, what is the point? Make sure to select crush. Same for the dagger - make sure to select stab.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I fully acknowledge this strategy isn't the only way to approach these fights, nor do I claim this is the certain best way. But it certainly worked for me, so I wanted to share my experience.

fun easy quest but i don't see why everyone is complaining so much about the knights i killed them easily just brought 2 super sets 2 super restores whip dds and anchor and some monks and armour torags and rune defender

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but in the tip post i put i am helping with quest and i still am but ive helped around 20 people from tip and have made 200k from very nice rewards for me thank you every one who gave me stuff i love you guys haha :thumbsup:

It took me three tries, because I tried to rely on Guthans to save me the first two. The third time, I brought sharks. Oh, and I've heard that Veracs is very useful against them, as it ignores their high defense.

use veracs, only used about 10 sharks for all the waves

Did it on 2nd try, now with list. Used full Guthan. Didnt need food for the first 6 guys. Only 1 shark for the 7th. And about 10 for Lancelot. I'm only 91 combat with 73 attack/strength/defense and 74 hitpoints. So with the right preparations it's not that hard.

 

 

 

Oh, I also used 1 super set and 1 super restore (took 2 with me). Also used a ring of recoil. Helps a bit, but a berserker would be better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When using full Guthan, you don't need to take other weapons, because it has all attack styles you need. I had also a DDS, whip, Dbaxe and rune kite with me. My specs with the DDS were only zer0's, so that didnt really help. Didnt even use the other ones.

Sorry the dagger didn't work for you. I don't think I got a single zero on my specs vs. Lancelot. He was down about 2/3 hp and poisoned in a matter of seconds for me. I guess I didn't emphasize that you should switch from stabbing (which you would be doing vs. Sir Kay) to slashing (Lancelot's apparent weakness) before you do the specials. I wonder if that might be why they didn't work for you?
