Well, since this morning, right after Clan Chat came out, RuneScape has been lagging and loading REALLY slow.

 

 

 

I just waited about 10 minutes (yes, 10 minutes) for RS to load, without TIF open, and I logged in. Went to check a thread, and I look back, it says the game crashed.

 

 

 

This happening for anyone else?

Nope. My computer is lag free. It's just the regular day for me I (lag wise). :

By the way, it takes like FOREVER on the "Checking For Updates" part.

 

 

 

It just freezes at like 90% :?

Yes my comp freezes at almost the exacly same time (91%) I'm assuming it's because there is a new update and so it takes a while to "search for updates"

I haven't been lagging at all. Before I have, like friday through saturday. I was being mean on all the prople complaining. Sorry lol :oops:

Well, this is really random. It always stopped at 91%, I went onto World 91, and it didn't take long at all lol.

its just you im afraid, or is that a good thing? make sure you dont have any services running that you dont use :shock:

I'm getting a lot of WSODs recently. I'm logged in, switch to board, switch back and it's all white. Kind of annoying >.>.

Realize that there may be a lot of lag on these servers right now. With this clan chat, more servers are being forced to communicate with each other at faster rates than usual. With space for 100 different people, it's possible for there to be 100 different worlds communicating at once through the system. So the servers now have to process mass communication between each other and each player's individual game.

Lag free for me.

depends on how up-to-date your computer is and the amount of memory you have free. It should be working fine after the first few days, or just buy another computer... :P

Everyone has to download the new update so it is normal for you to experience lag. Also, it could be the amount of programs that you are loading that lags your computer's memory.

Yep, my computer is fine, every website/msn/music downloading all working great except Runescape for like a month :wall: . Can't imagine the annoyance people on dial-up are feeling.

I have been getting less lag since the updat actually.

When the update first came out, it took a a while to load the RuneScape Homepage, and then to log onto RuneScape. That's perfectly normal, as it happened to everyone else when I was on IRC.

 

 

 

Since then, I've been pretty much lag-free. Which also is normal for me, too.

Try updating your Java, clear your internet browser's cache, and reboot your computer, along with resetting your internet connection.

I dont have any lag.
