First Off I would like to start out as, This is a thread about anyone who is an anarchist. I'm pretty sure I put this in the right thread but tell me If I didn't.

I would like to explain a few things about me.

 

 

 

1. I am an anarchist, Belive or not yes I am.

 

 

 

2. I Live in the United States Of America.

 

 

 

3. I see things going completely wrong with Democracy and Capitalism, By the day.

 

 

 

4. I have been in a few protests Some peaceful, others not.

 

 

 

Freedom of speech- The very first Amendment in the United States of America. I notice how this grows limited by the day.

 

 

 

Let's take an example of Freedom of speech. Don Imus.

 

 

 

If any of you recall back in april a Famous Talkshow host named Don Imus made a comment on his own radio station.

 

 

 

Before he made the comment he claimed he was an "Oppritunist" and that he had a right to say what he was going to say.

 

 

 

He called the Rutger's University of womens basketball "Nappy-Head [garden tool]'s"

 

 

 

Phone's immeaditly rang on his phone line with politician Al Sharpton Claiming he made a racial insult about the "N" Word. When he clearly stated nothing racial at all.

 

 

 

Other politicians were furouis and decided to argue with Don Imus to get him off the air.

 

 

 

Why do politicans do such thing as this? Politicans like Al sharpton cares nothing about the first ammendment and just cares about the Three Hundred thousand dollars he can recieve in a pay-check he is about to make for defending the University making up lies about racial insults.

 

 

 

This is how corrupt out politicians respond to a comment that nobody on the face of the earth could really care this much about it.

 

 

 

Personally I really don't like Don Imus, but I think he did have a point and he was using something he is allowed to use in this country without worrying about losing his job over something like this.

 

 

 

Second Admendment- The right of the people to keep and bear Arms

 

Do you remember back in april when the Virgina tech massacre occured?

 

It was one of the worst school shootings in the US history.

 

 

 

Many gun stores around the state are deabting wether or not their should be a required liscense to purchase guns.

 

 

 

The next day a man from south carolina decided to go hunting with his son when he decided to get a new rifle from a local Gun store. The owner refused to sell the hunter any guns because he claimed "An offical" came in his store and said he couldn't sell any guns to any person without a special liscenses, That really don't exsist.

 

 

 

Gun laws are also being changed and I guarentee in a few years no one without some kind of legal liscense "Such as if you are in the police force" can purchase firearms.

 

 

 

Guns don't kill people, People with guns kill people.

 

 

 

Also, when a citizen buys a gun it doesn't mean he's going to killsomebody with it. Maybe for his own protection (such as breaking an entrey or self-defense) might come into play.

 

 

 

Admendment 3 -No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

 

 

 

I have noticed how many wives of those who have left for Iraq struggle to keep a job and support their children all at once.

 

 

 

I'm not sure excatly how they are supossed to do that without the government's help. They sad part is those women or men who lose their spouse in war then only get support from the goverment.

 

 

 

Obvouisly, our american government doesn't care wether you are worried every night that your husband or wife may never return and you are struggling with many problems in society.

 

 

 

Admendment Four- The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

 

 

 

Me and my freinds usually hang out at the skatepark uptown and just skateboard and do whatever.

 

 

 

One time a police officer came to the park an demanded us to empty our pockets for him to see if we had any marijuana or other illegal substances on us.

 

 

 

None of us had anything and we asked him why he would think this. His response was "You kids look like a bunch of pot smoking hippies." and we were shocked at his comment.

 

 

 

Since we are under the age of 18 years old he did not have a right to search us.

 

 

 

We all refused to empty our pockets and told him to go away (Except using a different approach of language) he told us that he "Demans us to empty our pockets or we will lead to suspicion of illegal substances and that we will go to jail and court."

 

 

 

We still refused and told him to go away. He put handcuffs on us and put us in the backseat of his car. He took us to our parents houses and I told my parents this police officer had just insulted me and acused me of having illegal substances.

 

 

 

I finally emptied my pockets and all that was there was a pack of gum and a cellphone. The police officer said I was being a "Smart a*s" and that I am going to court for it. I never did go to court for do absolutely nothing and the officer knew.

 

 

 

I hate cops, I really hate everything about them. Everything you do you are threatened with going to jail even if you are innocent.

 

 

 

Admendment Eight - Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

 

 

 

My freinds dad was realesed from jail a few years ago and he was beat by a jail guard before he was realesed.

 

 

 

Police brutality is wrong. Police think they can do whatever they want.

 

 

 

This concludes my segment of Problems with america.

 

 

 

Remember, every little thing helps. If you ever want to make a stand don't be afraid to stand up for whats right. Legal or not. (No I am not encouraging anyone to break to law I am just making a point across)

 

Every person does make a difference in this world no matter how much you think they don't.

That's government for ya. Always was and always is. Even if we 'revolutionize', a few years/generations into the new government will become 'corupted' as it is already. It's just a huge cycle that repeats itself. The current state of America, is right on the borderline. Best we can do is keep it at the level not worse or better. If we make it better, it will come crashing down years later with all this starting all over again.

So whats the point of this thread exactly? You basically just told us about some random and arguable examples in which someone or some group of people defied the constitution.

Stuff like freedom of speech can only reach a certain level. True freedom of speech does not exist, same way as true democracy doesn't either. There are certain things we either aren' allowed to say loud because of it being a taboo or in worst case protected by laws. In certains places you reach the limits faster than at some places (compare USA vs Iran for example) but the limits are everywhere.

 

 

 

Good examples are for example wars, religions and political views. Certain political ideas are classified as "fascist" and thus aren't allowed. Denying holocaust is illegal in many European countries and people have actually been jailed for it even on 21st century. For taboo things, look at this US vs "terrorism" war. In USA you can defend wars on Iraq&Afghanistan, but when you try to give any support to Osama's acts, you're publicly lynched.

 

 

 

The reason why I personally see this freedom of speech talks coming more and more common is that we now know more. Internet has opened a new way to spread unwanted rumours, news, pictures and articles. Now we can read about the doings of our goverment from somewhere else too than magazines.

48. That's how many school shootings there's been since Feb 1996 to April 2007. Hundreds of students and teachers dead and hundreds of thousands of lives shattered. I garuntee that if the US had a more strict gun control policy there would be far fewer shootings, not to mention the other deaths when children are playing with their parents guns. I'm not even gonna touch what you said about the third amendment because you completely missed the point.

 

 

 

When the cop tried to search you, he was wrong, but you and your friends were, too. You shouldn't have "used a different approach of language" or told him to leave or anything. You should've asked to see a warrant, and, if he didn't have one, said that he can't search you then. And not all police are on a high horse, most are down to Earth.
