Maybe I'm missing the point, but why would it matter if the hiscores became filled with 99s? I can't see the problem... :?

I agree. It would motivate people to go for 99 and beyond.

Ooh, I like that idea. If your name starts with a B, and has at least 3 numbers in it, and has a 99 in Strength, Cooking, Fletching or Attack, (any of those) you're perm banned AND muted. GF logic.

I don't think Jagex should do anything about this, because it is the hi scores and it should be an achievement to get into them.

 

i pretty much agree.at the moment i think 30 herblore gets you onto the highscores which seems a little low to be a "high score".

I doubt that they will change xp/level difference in RuneScape at the moment, i'd think they'd have to srat a whole new game for that to be accepted with a possitive attitude. *Hint Hint* \

Jagex will increase the capacity of the hiscore list. Previously, 2 or so years ago, the hiscore only showed the top 500,000 in a skill, until it got updated to 1m.

that was just a few months ago...

 

 

 

anyway, as long as xp defines rank, you don't really need to worry about lvls, the only problem is that lower lvl players will be irritated about the fact that it will be so difficult just to get into the highscores.

Well low lvls arent really supposed to be in the highscores anyway. Also I agree they need to raise it. I just got a few of my members to lvl30 and now that its on the highscores I dont feel like bothering with them. But if it goes to 2m all the major players would be there. Imo the best way would be to make getting a 99 harder.

Though you must remember that some people use it simply to look up other players stats. Maybe they should show all un-ranked stats but it would say not ranked still, that way it is win win.

 

Jagex have made a mini high scores for IRC stat lookups and that. If your skill is 30+ it shows when someone does !stats ____.

They'd most likely extend the cap to were u can be lvl 60 or so and get in.

Jagex will seperate the high scores list into two. A low level list and a high level list. When you reach a certain point of exp (about lvl 80), your skill will be trasfered from one list to the other.
