The Observer
I log in and try to kill some macroers right? Then, some person comes along and attacks the hobgoblins that are attacking the macroer. I tell them to stop, but they won't. Has anybody else experienced this? spatulus13
Many times - Its like the mugger at varrock rune shop, No matter how many times your about to get an autobuyer killed - a level 30 or someone kills the dammed mugger... The Observer
Most of the ones that are attacking the hobgoblins are level 100 in my case. So, they know full well what macroers are.. But they just want to be pompous, ignorant idiots.
cesare13
Just report the bot and problem clearly solved (sorry, sarcasm.) I know what youre saying, I had that problem a lot at Varrock rune shop. The disheartening thing is, that even the ones I managed to kill (ess miners) eventually reappeared again and continued to auto. They were back in like 5 minutes. Yeah, the civil rights movement for bots is getting to be a problem, I agree.

underu2000
Why don't you just attack the bots yourself? If they are scared to attack the bots, or whatever reason, there isn't much stopping you. :| Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

haggisoflife
I cant believe luring bots is illegal..i mean, really who would report you for that? EDIT: 50 Posts! the people running them? "Dear jagex - I was happily plying my illegal trade when some vile player came and lured me, resulting in the lose of precious goldfaming items. As a ruiner of your game I must insist that you issue blackmark this blaggards account and inform them of the errors of their ways. Yours - a real world trader" "dear idiot BANNED! yours giggling - jagex" back to the point - its up to people how they play the game, and they might not know about the whole bot thing so could think your lying etc. inform, educate, and accept that some people might not want to learn :(
cesare13
Wow! luring a mugger into the store is really against the rules? Can someone confirm this? If that's the case, then its hard to say that Jagex is doing EVERYTHING possible to stop the "problem." Also, who can;t survive an attack from a mugger? If the player was actually a legitimate lvl 3 pure ess miner, they could easily survive the attack. All they would have to do, is open the door themselves. mario_sunny
When someone attacks the mugger/hobgoblin I don't think they know you are trying to kill the autoer. Sometimes people just want to beat up some NPC; I've had the same feeling numerous times and murdered myself a few unsuspecting guards. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( . RSBDavid
sometimes the owner of the bot will defend it.. every once inawhile i see a high lvl and a bot go to an n area out of site and then the bot trades the "insert what was autoed here" over to the main/leader .. if you are green drag pking and a high ll trys to kill you after you kill a bot, thent eh bot might belong to the high lvl [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]

Ned
I personally have never experienced this, but I can see it happen either just to annoy you :( or train for champion scrolls (while not caring about your efforts to kill macroers). Anyway, once you kill the macroers they will only resume exactly the same thing in a few minutes. :wall: Grr, I don't like cheaters :wall: Want to help the Tip.It Crew? Geordiequeen
I think that maybe they don't realise that it is a macroer and just want to help the person out. You can't really blame them for trying to help someone out. I often stop the lower levels being killed by the mugger when travelling to and from Falador because It would be like a level 60 being attacked by a lesser demon, anyone would help, it is just the polite thing to do. Denismage
Somewhere a Jagex mod wrote that doing this to anyone including macroers is against the rules (luring), so may be they were trying to enforce the rule.

Hi9im8Here7
In the conflict we're currently having, on one side is Jagex and a small group of so-called "macro killers", and on the other side we have an even smaller group (though very powerful) group of goldfarmers. A lot of people in runescape aren't committed to this game, or they really don't know/care about the probems bots have on the game. Hence, they will completely disregard you. Another reason is that they may know how futile it is to try to stop macroers the way you're doing (seriously guys, it really is a waste of time :? ). Or maybe they don't even realize what you're doing.
Will H
What are some examples of item scams? Some examples of item scams are: Offering an item and then removing the item within the first or second trade screen. Offering an item and changing the agreed price within the first or second trade screen. Misleading players by providing false or inaccurate information, for your own personal gain. Luring players into the Wilderness under false pretences. That's the most relevent part of rule 2 regarding this, but still it doesn't include luring NPCs to kill autoers. Besides, define 'player'. You can't say it's the account because thats 'character', the player is the person behind the character, and since the owner of the autoer account is not playing, it's not a 'player'. Or am I missing something here? ~ W ~

Nacs16
the only way to stop the autoers is to stop buying stuff from them. so dont buy stuff from any lvl 3 that is selling 10,000 of 1 item.
