September 24, 200718 yr I personally look down on people with obsidian shields because they're so common and can be easily bought, I look in a slightly diaganol direction toward people with dragon squares, because they wasted their money, and I stare rune defender weilding people dead in the eye and relish in our combined awesomeness. September 24, 200718 yr I'd much rather have a defender, unless I really need the defence bonus. In that case, a rune kite is more than enough, no need to blow cash on a dragon square. This signature is intentionally left blank.
September 24, 200718 yr I really not checked stats, have no time to get defender and just when i training combat (what i do ever rare - example. already 1 year i not train any combat stats) i getting or prayer book or Obby shield depends from situacion dragon sq like i know not so better then obby shield and i agree then is waste of money just. Newer PK'ed somebody btw. Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.Visit my exp track

Dragon squares look the best + it has by far the best defence so if you already have a high strength bonus, (whip helm of netiznot, glory etc) then it lets you stay in one place training for longer.

September 24, 200718 yr Author OK, thanks. I love the defender's stats but I hate its nooby stubby look, almost like a Rune Short Sword. The Dragon Sq Shield, on the other hand, looks wonderful, is a sign of prestige and wealth, and displays that you have beaten Legends. Rune Defender wins by a mile, but I still wish Jagex would buff its look a little. :wall:

September 25, 200718 yr Defender Hands Down. Most people (myself included) find that killing something faster is better than staying longer but not getting hit as much. Also, wearing guthans platebody and chainskirt gives me a considerably high def bonus, along with neitiznot helm, barrow gloves, and other items. This means that we would rather hit(sometimes) on average .5 higher, and get in the extra hit because of its attack bonuses. Besides, its easy to get, doesn't cost much, and sometimes does make the difference in keeping the better (well, worth more) items.
