The month of October starts with another graphical improvement to an existing area. This time, Evil DaveÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s house and the well-used town of Edgeville gets a lick of paint. The team of decorators were a little scared to progress down into Edgeville Dungeon, however, so stay tuned for further improvements to this area. You see, Vannaka is a little defensive of his existing dÃÆÃâÃâécor and, as he can wield a two-handed sword in one hand, we don't want to question him too much...

 

 

 

The shops of RuneScape will be delivering a hefty blow to bots this month. Instead of finding shops empty of stock because a bot has bought it all, you will find infinite stock of various key items. With the Shop Improvement update, you will have everything necessary to make buying and selling more fun, and far less frustrating! Of course, we will also be tweaking the prices so this doesn't unbalance other aspects of the game.

And for the bot proof shops, only really use shops to buy runes and if they are increasing prices might aswell just buy of players.

I'm all for stopping rune buying autoers, but as an old timer I am genuinely gona get pissed. First, getting runes and aising magic is made much easier with runecafting. Then they get the PC in, and now this....

If Jagex sets an item to infinite stock and then sets the store price, they have basically taken the economy out of the hands of the merchants.

 

 

 

This shop update thing is not about chisels, buckets and shears.

 

 

 

If you can buy 1000 bronze bars at Jemima's, 1000 nats at Aubry's or 1000 staffs at Zaff's, why would you buy them from a merchant?

 

 

 

This is going to rock the pseudo-skill of merchanting to its core.

Hmm, maybe but depends on what the price increse would be.

yeah hit the nail on the head there.... I dunno about you but i can normally get lucky after awhile and find a few shops that aren't bought out...

 

 

 

The price increase that is sure to come is going to really hit my wallet since I normally hop after say 30-50 addy arrows since they get too expensive... I hope that update is far down the road, I'm going to stockpile all types of runes and arrows in hopes that I won't have to spend my cash too much once the update is out

Shared loot sounds horrid. I'm assuming if you have it enabled EVERYONE in the clan chat channel will have a chance to get the drop... what if the person just died and it's their drop but they're obviously not there to see it and the others have to teleport... seems a waste to me. And at like Dagannoth Kings you have people seperated into two groups usualy, going to have to split into two chat channels so you don't have to run half way accross the room to almost certain death just to pick up an item is stupid. Of course it's optional but it just seems VERY pointless to me.

 

 

 

Infinite stock will most likely things are more expensive when buying from shops, which depending on how they adjust it could make prices of runes etc. drop outside of shops making it impossible to sell things.

 

 

 

Edgeville update - Fine, not even a big area though just a little village and one "dungeon" if you can call Evil Dave's house that, this is the kind of update you'd expect along with some "content"

 

 

 

Quest sounds meh, although it sounds like a puzzle quest which are my favourite type. Be interesting to see what the reward is though.

 

 

 

Overall not a very good month at all, only thing to "interest" me there is the Quest, the other three "updates" appear to add absolutely nothing at all to the game.

Meh, it's ok I guess, I'm very dissapointed that there's no new skill being released. Halloween update isn't really anything to look forward to since we know exactly what it'll be. I can see some problems with the shared loot system IF it also works in the wilderness.

 

 

 

The shop thing will destroy the economy for runes and probably herblore (vials) unless they raise the shop price very high, but even then the merchant's prices will just go up *hint hint*.

 

 

 

The minigame is somewhat interesting getting xp to 3 skills in one day sounds pretty fun, but it will probably be a bit harder, so you get less xp.

I'm curious for the consequences for Onyx-buying and Item Value's in the wild. Tough, I'll not judge this update before it comes out.
