Icingdeath
Alrighty. I had a fairly nice Saturday night. Just hanging out you know with a couple friends...suddenly I receive a call on my cell phone. Marshall is a town roughly 30 minutes away from where I live. The convo goes something like this: Woman: Hey...are you Matt? Is this (my phone number)? Me: Yeah...why? Who is this? Woman: Well your name and number were on this note here...you hit my Cadillac. Could you please come to Shop Ko in Marshall? Me: Actually, no, I can't. I'm fine staying home...since I didn't do anything. *sounds of the phone being passed to another* Cop: This is Officer *Blahblah*, do you have your insurance handy? I'd like you to come to the law enforcement office. Me: Nope, I don't. I think I'll actually just stay home. I haven't left the house all day... From this point the officer (who was getting really over the top) started going on about some junk, so I handed the phone to my mom...who proceeded to check my car for dents and paint chips on request from the officer. Of course, there were none. Since I didn't do a single thing. So they talked for a while, and the officer said she'd call back. Alright. So I go back downstairs...my phone rings again. This time, it's a teenage girl. Same story, I hit her car. There was a note. I think WTF. So on and so forth. I talk to her for a while...yep, she was in Shop-Ko. I arrange to get that note from her to see the handwriting later the next day. Alright...so I go back to hanging out, eventually friends leave. I go to sleep. I wake up at 9 AM the next morning to my phone going off. It's an older male...I hit his suburban apparently. There's windshield damage and it's dented. I tell him the story, and tell him to talk to the police...we hang up. Jesus bloody Christ, I've got enemies. The Cadillac and Suburban both had dents and damage, nothing too major. The other car had nothing. I can't tell the handwriting on the note. I have enemies. :) Just thought I'd share that with you. I've got a feeling who it may be...and...well they goan get hurt. As well as charged with a crime later on if I can be completely certain they are guilty. :) Thanks for wasting a few minutes of your life on this post. I sure did hehe. Just thought I'd leave this open to discussion or flaming or whatever you Tip.It folks wish. Anyone have similar incidents? I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

runescapeloser22
Creepy :ohnoes: Couldn't you get the police to match the handwriting to see if its the same as the person/people you suspect? I don't know about your police, but I'm fairly certain that the police here would do that.
Rebdragon
Does the damage seem like it could be done with something else, like a bat? This is obviously one person, or a small group, who've been going out messing around [like the little morons they probably are[ and deciding to scapegoat you for their own enjoyment. I'd almost even bet that they just picked someone randomly out of the phonebook or school yearbook; it seems like a case not based on a grudge, but of trying to guarentee immunity while this person/group does whatever the hell they want, smashing cars being the predominant case at the moment. DaDiesel, this isn't an insurance scam, or else he wouldn't have gotten three reports from three random people (including his friend, a vital piece of inforamation) all within such a short amount of time and within such a specific area. Anyways, if you could get some information on damage repors to their cars, I might be able to figure out what's going on a bit better :P . My money's on the damage not being done by other cars, but I could be wrong :-k . warren211
Eh, probably some idiots who think its fun to see some guy get 3 calls for accidents he didnt cause. Bet theyre laughing histarically. Guess you might wanna be careful with your friends, never know who might cause a small prank that goes too far. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. Lenin64
Hm, this reminds me of a time a friend of mine pulled off an urban legend: We were out at the local Blockbuster renting a....movie....and on our way out of the parking lot he dinged another car. Wanting to be a general (wagon), he decides to do something he read about on the internet: he took a sticky note from his glove-box (his mom makes him have these for occassions like this) and wrote on it, "the people watching me write this think that I'm leaving my name, phone number and insurance imformation, but I'm NOT, so haha!". Kinda stupid, but funny. Command the Murderous Chalices! Drink ye harpooners! drink and swear, ye men that man the deathful whaleboat's bow- Death to Moby Dick!BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! Icingdeath
Yeah...Marshall is an annoying town. I really didn't get too worked up because I didn't do anything wrong, my friends were getting mad and wondering who did it. I really wouldn't call it an era. Mercifull
Looks like a prank to me. Why would the police officer be with the woman when she phoned? Its an insurance thing the only reason the police would get involved is if you were not cooperating. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
