Range training - Edgeville guards

I realized something today while training my noob account. I achieved level 40 range and decided it's time to go to edgeville to train at the guards over there... after a short time I arrive there and I go to the spot where they respawn, and I see that they have a door instead of a gate. When the updated Edgeville they changed the gate to a door that changes a daily routine of a ranger that was there before the update. I find this dissapointing because I don't exactly nowhere to go next, because I'm not camping at the barbarians <.< ... This is a problem... what to train for level 40 to 60 ranged now?

I remember there is two gates in the building, one to enter the building, one like a cage with a corpse inside? Was the inner gate removed too? Oh, you can use the ditch as a safespot.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Train on the skeletons. Use the ditch as a safespot. But, when I trained my ranged, I had to bring lots of food because the skeletons kept coming <.<

I think you could never get in there. But, at the Shantay pass, use the prison cell as a safespot and range the guards there. It' s never crowded.

Hobgoblins are still a possibility but you can't pick up arrows if you wantn to safespot them.

Best of luck on 60 range

What? They mucked up another f2p ranging spot? I remember I used to train on the guards upstairs in Varrock palace before they redid that area. I'd suggest ranging the minotaurs in the sos with iron arrows. You don't lose too many arrows and if you can find a less crowded world you should be fine.

Yea, they shot down another safespot.

Try training on hills or minotaurs if you can.

Yes, when they redid Varrock, they changed it :(

However, if you have plenty of bronze arrows, you can train on the catablepons near the end of the 3rd level of the Stronghold of Security

Aah, damn. Jagex ruined it? =|

You can range skeles from south of the ditch (If you decide to go north of it and range the guards, there's a chance you may get killed -.- ).

Once you get 50 ranged though, I suggest rock crabs and iron knives. :D. The best armor you can wield and blue d'hide, which gives a decent defense bonus.

.::Congratulations!::.

I just advanced a spamming level!

Now I need to find a decent Signature.

Now that thousands of bronze arrows are easy to get, and cheap enough ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ go train on guards at black knights castle or hobgoblins. Both are a lot faster than the edge guards ever were. If you are still intent on picking up arrows (cheapskate!), train on minataurs.
