High lvl jerks.

Well the topic creator started this topic with 1 standalone incident, how interesting how the whole thing becomes a generalized statements that high levels are jerks =D> . Anyhow that 108 shouldn't have macroed and simply ignore you like how I would have treated this situation.

Meh I never said A L L high lvls are jerks, but tbh i frequently run into high lvls who say like ''omg get out of my slayer spot noob'' and stuff like that,

good guess, 38yo. military professional who enjoys a quiet game at night after the kids are in bed. By the way, just to educate you, national study conducted in USA in 2005 showed average gamer is 30, not 12. ...and 40% are women. also my wife plays (teacher). she also enjoys a bit of RS at night. My entire friends list is 123+, all adults and I belong to 3 all adult clans....so wake up and realize that while most of the nubz playing may be 12 yos who havent gone outside except to clamber aboard the school bus, and play RS, adults have the time, and desire to play it, and many many do. Take a peek at the top 500, most I suspect are adults....there is a reason for that. lesson done.

Yeah, you will occasionally run into people who are just irritating and rude. I've had my share, as I'm sure we all have. Best thing you can do is just shrug em off : Forget about them and concentrate on the good stuff.

Something that 'Scapers need to stop doing is assuming things. For all you know, the level 103 or whatever could have bought the account OR just be entertaining his/herself by acting like a "noob".

Never had this problem, then again I'm f2p, it might be different here. Most of the high levels I meet are either friendly or just quiet.

well some lvl 100+ can be quite annoying...maybe they feel that their combat lvl finally reached triple digits and so they are almighty :S im not sure what's wrong with them but i was rune mining once and this lvl 108 managed to kill me and when i died he was like HAHAHA NOOB!!! i dont really see what is so pro about killing someone with 5 lobs in the inventory and 10% energy o.O sure there are bad apples everywhere who spoil the reputation of a particular combat lvl range. but i seem to see it more from the lvl 100-110 not saying that all 100-110 are total immature brats or that those above 110 are angels though...btw im 114 if you wanted to know :)

Umm.. High level jerks? Or people with a "low age" in real life? Some high levels may be jerks, but some low levels are annoying beggars who follow you around until you give them something.

Hmmmm, this thread is slightly coincidental that i'm a lvl 108 with 95 fishing.... anyways, back on topic, i have seen many high lvl 'jerks' before, usually in a clan and arguing about the wierdest things. i would say they are either just a coincidence that they are high lvl and still an immature person OR they bought the account as other people in this thread has said.

Some people are just that way. You can be nice, but when you meet these people, they'll make you so mad. Just don't bother talking, Report is the key. If they begin to annoy you, use the Block List. Since forever, I am a nice high level :D.

So I was just visiting Edge bank and saw this lvl 108 with trimmed fishing cape shouting ~I'm cleaned give some trash~ apparently he was macroing because he typed fast.. so I noticed to stop macroing first.. he said he didn't macro and started calling me neeb while typing other text the differ between textes were about 1 sec text was about this lenght in his begging text was like this ''Aaabeeceedeeeefffggghhjjkkllmmnnooeeeeee'' so I bet he couldn't do that.

 

the thing I'm ranting about is

 

1.Useless macroing and insulting

 

2.Having 99 fishing but he can't go fish sharks??

 

3.BEGGING, lvl 108 begs? why??

 

that's pathetic for high lvls. I thought they would be more kind..

Sounds strongly like a bought account, and I've encountered plenty in other games. If you reported him for macroing they could probably find other suspicious links too, like a person thousands of miles away from the normal login location suddenly starting to frequent the account in a short timeframe (that wouldn't be possible even via air travel).

Another "N=1" thread. Someone does something bad, and suddenly a whole group gets a bad rap. Also, lvl 108 isn't high. There must be a million people around that level.
