hellbellz
Well there have been quite a lot of things that have been annoying that I've found here in BlogScape. I decided to post it here, since the Rants Board is for Runescape rants. Move it to Rants if it belongs there, I don't care. My first rant is about PK'ing pures. Why would you want one? If you want to be an average level 68 who can pk DDS's every other day, that's fine with me. Why, is what I'm asking. Why would you want one? There are better ways to PK. You can spend time you waste on your pure on 99 magic or ranged on your main character to get maximum PK'ing profits. Make a damn main character and stick with it. My second rant is about Skilling pures. Why is there a need to be level 3? Does it make you fit in with other "skillers" or do you want to try to be cool and have a low combat level with a couple 99's. You know what you can do, is you can gain some combat levels. You can achieve Lunar Magicks if you had the combat. Lunar Magicks helps a ton with "skilling" so why not get it? If you love skilling that's awesome, but why would you dislike combat? Is it any different than clicking a willow tree for three months? No. Except for the fact there is a little variety in how you can train it. Also, hitpoint, defense, and prayer levels can get you access to better training grounds for some skills. Herblore for example, gaining all of the necessary items needed to make a potion. Make a damn main character and stick with it. A wee rant is about the drama that goes on around here. Some people trust others to quickly to really get to know them. There have been numerous times I know of that some players decieved their friends and stole millions worth of gp. Guys, don't make assumptions that just become someone is from TIF means they're a good person. Will you please post on my blog and check out my awesomeness? No. Just because you posted on my blog doesn't mean I have to post on your blog. I do it to posters who have a well organized, well planned, and high standards on their blog. Don't expect people to post on your blog because of your post asking for one. There is also one more rant I have. SPAM. It isn't necessary to post every other post. There is so much spam in this forum, I don't often use it anymore. I find that some blogs, there is some spam in the topics. No offense, but for example, Dusty's sorry babe. lol. blog. He had like, two pages of a quote pyramid with no text in it. Some blogs have random posts, such as Toast's sorry babe. lol. blog. The blog has a lot of posts along the lines of "omg u gud" or "wow u rly g0t 99 fm u b my heeer oh". It's just not necessary, just try to comment like a mature person. A little spam is alright with me, but when it's out of hand, it's extremely annoying. This is just my little rant of BlogScape. I hope I didn't offend anyone, if I did, oh well :? . Feel free to comment about this. Say whatever you honestly feel like saying to me and I won't get mad at you.

C110
Well, your right @ quit some points... Purers, i dislike them to, and no, i dont pk, but i just think its not realy worth it to 'dump' your main, and level on another account. Spam: all those bumps are sometimes anoying, and i only posts blogs if i want to post, and that means: a nice clean blog, with pictures and goals... ~ColossuS~ - I'm not proud of everything I've done, but I have no regrets
doomy
Pk'ing pures, I don't see how they affect you in any way, I suppose they alos happen to like pk'ing like that? Lvl 3 pures are there for the challenge, again it doesn't affect you in anyway. This forum isn't yours. The 'post on my blog?', yeah I don't like that either. And spam? meh, who really cares...its just some fun :| Doomy edit: I like sheep
kingmerik888
1: awesome, pures are useless, and skillers are noobs, both have no point but wasted RS memory space IMO 2: good, well planned rant. 3: you spelled honestly wrong :| ~Raz~ Tis the great kingmerik! Kill_Life
Moved it to Rants since it's more of a Rant against Skillers and Pures :-k And I don't really care, my pure/skiller is my +/- my main now, intill I ruined my previous main by making it member  Ohwell. The main thing is still having fun imo. How you do it, it doesn't matter, as long as it stays legal. :) "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
hellbellz
I'm just asking why people started the trend of becoming a skilling pure. Does it make you feel cool or what? It's the same damn thing as combat skilling.
Hevendor_Guy
Post on mai blog plz? Add me to? :x I hate it all too. Hence why I am no longer very active on this board anymore :s There's cake through here, apparently.
Xanotex
I have alot of pures, pking with 75 defence at 98 combat isn't easy. Why do I have a pure? To be SPECIALISED in something. I have pures to pk and mains to skill/combat. I also have a skill pure, I recently quit my main. Why a new account? Well it's great to start from 0 again even though I had a great donation from a friend. Another reason for me is the name. I like 'Ello Lvl 3s' more than 'Xanotex'. Pures for pking, skillers for skilling and mains for combat. That's how I see it. ooh eeh ooh ahah, ting tang wallawallabingbang m8
misterxman
My rant is that people who get scammed by friends don't take responsibility for the risk of lending items. When you lend something, you clicked "Accept" which means part of losing that item was your fault. Do not come flaming in the forums as if it was out of your control, a trade requires your "accept". Nom
I guess the spam is tolerated because people generally do it to get their post count up, but posts in BoogScape don't count for the very reason that posts don't usually consist of much at all. We've come a full circle. I tend to agree with the rest of it, except for the level 3 skillers. People want a challenge, and it can be a lot harder to skill with a level 3 character since they don't get benefits that a few combat levels can make you take for granted. killjoyfuly
a very nice rant :) i have a combat pure for when my main becomse tedious but i dont realy care much for him while i see no point in skiller pures i do respect their patience and dedication to skills but oterh wise awsome rant =D>
Master_Smither
Very good Rant  Pures: Waste of time bascially most quit their pures and lose tons and get banned for drop trading. Skillers: Waste of time most of them want to look "cool" with a cape or something by now with the age of skillers in progress u see a lvl 3 with a cape u say wow a skiller who cares? Blogscape Spam: Most are just tryong to bump and be funny but some people and just stupid. I don't agree with this rant. Celt23
-Pures/skillers: people can play however they want, that's one of the things that makes Runescape so fun. If they annoy you, ignore them. -Asking to post on your blog is fairly annoying so I agree on that. Your blog is your personal journal so people should be able to support it out of free will. -People getting scammed. They made a mistake, and they learned from it. I highly doubt you would have the same opinion if you got scammed like them yourself. Besides, a blog is a journal and you should be able to include things like that. -BlogScape is one of the most spam-tolerant forums, there's a reason why you don't get post count from it. Anyway, the forum itself is like a community within a community, so if you don't like the 'culture' (as long as it's not breaking the rules) then no-one is forcing you to be there. :)
hybrid2hell
A very well written rant. I agree with somethings, and i disagree with others. 1. Pures and skillers. I have had a few pures, and i usually just make them because i am bored. I dont make them anymore though, because i barely spend any time on RS. As for skillers, i completely agree. Unless your main gets banned, then there is no point to make a skiller. And even then, it just doesnt make sense to stay level 3. 2. I dont have a blog, but i do spend some time on blogscape. I would imagine that it is fairly annoying if people said 5 word posts then asked you to post on their blog. "Hi u gud add me post on my blawg plx?" 3. I dont really mind spam, its just a bit of fun :) I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames. Sheynara
People asking you to post on their blogs is one of the most annoying things in Blogscape. TBH when people ask me, I tend to purposefully avoid posting in their blog! :P The subject of pures is a difficult subject. I respect that people play the game their way, and have multiple characters they work on, including pures. My personal opinion is; why waste time on multiple characters when you can work on one single character, enjoy every aspect of the game, and have a great total on the one character, instead of having lots of characters and have a crappy total level on various characters. It annoys me a little to have friends ask me to add their pures to my friends list, I have enough of a space problem with my friends list, without having having one friend take up more than one space. Spam is spam, it is everywhere!! I don't necessarily like it, but meh its a part of life. Spam happens throughout the whole forums, not just Blogscape, the mods just remove the spam in other forums, Blogscape is more of a grey area because people saying "joo are gud!" may be spam, but its still support for a persons goals in a blog. Cabbage_Boii
(not all, this is just me) yes ur very right they wanna be cool and be lvl 3, i was a skiller BECAUSE i did all those quests on my main, i got combat on my main and just couldnt be asked to do them again. I dont want to be a high lvl noob with a dragon long(lol toast :-w ) or without ancient magicks(blingkachi50*cough* ) i am lazy and dont want to do them all over again so if i stayed lvl 3 i wouldnt have to. Sadly most of your points are right :x Let your yellow mellow.
-Devoted12-
I don't really like PKing, so no comment on this subject. Never have been interested in it, and probably never will. I am two sided on skilling pures. I don't see the need in having skilling pures. I agree with Shey, it looks soo much nicer and, in my opinion, is so much better to put it all on one character. I am not necessarily against skilling pures, I just never really understood the fun in that. :-k I agree with Misterxman concerning the trade scams. Don't go ranting that you lost [insert item(s) here] because [insert person's name here] scammed you. You hit accept, you forfeited your items to the other user. It is up to that user to either give it back or not. If they don't give it back, it's your fault, not theirs. You hit accept, you scammed yourself. The -Post on my blog please- annoys me also. I seem to be getting more and more of these. I almost feel like I'm santa clause getting want letters from people. If you post that, I am less likely to see your blog, thus less likely to post. Just put an encouragement post and we will go from there. Give it time, I don't like to spend hours posting on other peoples blogs whom I don't know. Spam will always be existant. Quote chains you should report and I'll take care of them even though they are a hassal to remove. Other spam, report it. But, there is a lot of little one worders and annoying posts but we can't delete them because they are still posting encrouagement. That's why I am very happy Blogscape doesn't count toward post count! I like the Rant. You got a lot of "non-ranters" to post. *Points at Shey inpaticular* :)
Alg
as it's been said, blogscape tolerates that 'spam', as it's support still, for the most part. as for the asking for posts... it's a bit of a culture that developed, blogs with large amounts of posts are prized over ones with small amounts. people even resort to putting links to them into some kind of signature to attract viewers as well. --- a bit of a disclaimer- the link in my signature is so i can find mine with little or no effort. it's just a goall log for me, and has pictures for remembering stuff:anxious: I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
hellbellz
Do not come flaming in the forums as if it was out of your control, a trade requires your "accept".I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, Xman, but I'm not ranting that I've ever gotten scammed. I have loaned out a lot of items, and had a few stolen, i find a red mask to be an acceptable price to pay to find out some one ive known for 3 years is a dirtbag, but its not my fault he took the item, i loaned it i didnt give it, he stole it, he is to blame. I feel that was a bad comment on your part but I am not going to get into that. I just want you to know that I never said I didn't trust anyone, now did I? I just stated you handed over your items to the other user. It is in their hands whether or not to keep the item(s) or not. If they choose to keep it, it is not only the scammers fault, it is also yours. I didn't clarify that enough in my post. I am not defending scammers, I am just saying that you gave the user(s) your items. They were in his/her possesion, therefore, they can do what they want with them. If they are stolen, you shouldn't be ranting about it. You chose to trust someone, which I do frequently, and you find out the person's true motives. All I am saying is you shouldn't rant that you got your stuff stolen when you hit Accept. It applies the same in real life. If you give someone a million dollars to borrow, you expect them to give it back/repay it. Is that always the case? No. Will you be made about it? Sure will. But, would it have been stolen if you didn't give the cash away? No. That's my reasoning. I would appreciate it if you don't make inappropriate comments too. Lugia_Lvl138
I agree with Pures and Skillers being a waste of time and sticking with one main account. However, I myself have an F2P pure str character with 40 Range for D Hide. I abandoned him a while ago to work on Lugia but it's just so much fun to play on my pure, say my main is whatever high level Lugia was at the time, then sign on with Lugia and watch everyone's reaction . Yes, I get bored sometimes and do crazy things :anxious:. Edit: Wow, I never knew posts on blogscape didn't count towards post count.
