The best monsters for clues are the higher level slayer monsters, in my experience. Dragons are also pretty good. October 18, 200718 yr I always thought clues are totally random whatever you kill and whatever the level. I would say its up to you to choose what you want to kill, it all depends what you have the equiptment to kill. If its plain melee however i would say ogres in the warriors guild. October 18, 200718 yr And a lot of clues don't always mean good clues: just do slayer a lot, and get steady drops and a decent clue from time to time.
October 18, 200718 yr I would say dragons. I usually do greens but blues been dropping even better for me. One day last week I got 2 (lvl 3) clues from killing 4 blue dragons. 1st drag: Coins 2nd drag: Clue Did clue and got some rune junk and sharks then went back 3rd drag: 3 laws 4th drag: Clue Did clue and got rune junk and laws =] I have never gotten a great clue reward but i have done lots of lvl 3 clues. Some day....

October 20, 200718 yr aviansies are far the best lvl 3 clue droppers, i always get a clue in the first 50 or 60 kills, but u need p pots. After taking a break of 17 months, i had to come back but everything has changed way too much xD

October 21, 200718 yr i would recomend just doing slayer until you get a clue... i've noticed that when i got a clue from doing slayer task my rewards have been beter then average but it might just be me.... but if you do slayer it works out really well.

October 21, 200718 yr I think it can vary from person to person. E.g. I've had around 5 clues from ankous and I've killed around 5000 of them (no joke), but I've had a task of 130 helhounds before and gotten 5 clues.
