So basically i get 99 firemaking, light a fire and start cooking some fish.

 

 

 

Then i find out that you burn less on a range than on a 99 firemaker's fire - Range is overpowered, nerf it Jagex.

Ranges are too far from a bank unless you have done rfd and if you do rfd you have earnt your right to over powered range, some times the cooking triangle is slightly unbalanced, you just need to learn to hybrid, cook the food you never burn on a fire and the stuff you do burn on a range 8-)

heres some advice, go do family crest and get the cooking gauntlets. then go cook at either:

 

a) rouges den as the bank is right next to a fire or

 

B) catherby as the range is only 1 house down from a bank.

 

 

 

your choice we nor jagex are forcing you to do fire/range. next thing i DONT want to hear is your fridge is not set-up next to your PC / Notebook for if you do... *readies cannon*

How about this? The range in cooking guild bank is even more overpowered. The range is just 3-5 steps from the bank and of course a range would burn less than a fire.

The fire in Rogue's Den is still closer to the bank, and your cooking level is largely irrelevant for much of the way to 99, as at 67 cooking + gauntlets, you never burn lobsters, which are the primary food used to train.

Em cook guild - cooking gloves and varrock armour, range right beside the bank - harldy any burns

I agree, they are a bit overpowered.

 

There was once a time where using a range ment you had to at least run a small distance to use them and get the advantage of a better cook rate but now they are right next to banks.

 

 

 

Sure in F2P ranges are not overpowered due to the fact there are none right next to a bank.

Same thing here, I was already thinking of another rant about the Wildy rangers. Overpower Rangers.

Well, first of all, why would a fire of some 99 firemaker be better than a fire of a lvl 1 fire maker? Both are yellow and both have the same examine. Also a fire is a fire in my opinion, and ofcourse a range is better than a fire, on a fire you cook without a pan or whatever, on a range you have all you need, so basicly a range should be better after all.

Ask for firemaking to get some improvements instead, it needs it badly. Firemaking is almost completely useless. And meanwhile, Jagex is making a ton of pointless updates instead of fixing it.

Unfortunately, cooking gauntlets only affect 3 kinds of fish. Things like monkfish could always use a range over a fire.

How does 70 FM differ from 99 FM? You're still going to get the same amount of heat out of the same log. And why should your Firemaking skill determine your ability of cooking, btw...?
