I have never been scammed by a friend, but then again i only have 2... both i met in runescape killing moss giants. We often lend/give eachother items and advice, and we also help eachother with skilling and quests. Lolol, i still don't know one of my friends first names.... But hey, he once let me parade around runescape for a whole day in his Blue Phat!

But i have been scammed for probably the amount of 1mill my random strangers.... i never learn... #-o #-o

Nope, I've let 2 of my friends try on my partyhat, both have given back.

Nope, I've trusted them with 30m+ in items and I've never been scammed. There's always a first time though. :s

Yes. White phat stolen by a friend this summer. I've sort of recovered from this disaster, but the sad memories will never go away. :(

I was scammed once by someone I thought I knew well (paid for his verac brassard so we could kq - turns out he planned to keep any chain we got too), and I learned my lesson.

Later, someone I'd known for over a year and considered a very good friend asked to borrow my full verac to try at duel arena. I probably would have done it, but my rl friend told me he'd been asked the same thing, and added to ignore when he said no, so I demanded collateral. He "complied", but actually turned around and borrowed the collateral from his *rl* friend. In the end, he screwed himself over, because the guy he "borrowed" the collateral off of knew him in rl, and got the parents involved, and he (the rl friend) got a d chain out of it :D

Anyway, I now give out my trust very sparingly. I have a handful of friends who I will loan little things to (stuff that I could live without if they stole, ~5m or less), and anything more only touches the hands of my real life friends (that is, no one anymore, they all moved on :x )

I'm happy to say that I've never been scammed by any of my friends :) None of my friends ever ask or need to borrow any items from me so I never have to worry, I guess I have good friends ::'

Very interesting poll. The most interesting in ages IMO, good job!

A person on my friend's list attempted to scam me once, I had known him for 4 days, he seemed like a nice person. He then started talking about a new hidden update which was a minigame in the Lumbridge caves... I was like: Hmm... :-k He told me he'd give me everything I needed to get through the caves and I should take my melee gear. I played along except I took a bullseye lantern with me too. He gave me a candle of course. After like 3 minutes of walking around in the caves he logged off. Pretty sad really :boohoo:

[insert birds flying in a circle here]

Yes, that sig was annoying.

I made this mistake twice. The first time, a friend took a dragon chain from me. The second, another friend decided to rip off a secret that he promised to keep.

In hindsight, I could care less about half a dragon chain or a way to train magic really fast that has long since been removed. But the loss of two of my friends hurt me more.

Nowadays, when people ask to borrow this, or borrow that, or ask me to loan them a few million, I pretty much never say yes. That's not out of fear for my items. Rather, it's out of fear for our friendships.

I lost a blue mask, because i trusted a 'friend'', although he regrets himself atm, he lost it too, but he is trying to recover it..someway..

Got lured once, lost a whip + 1.2m..

I only ever trust friends ive known for ages or irl (cos irl i can threaten them if they don't give me X item back  )

Luckily, I have never had friends scam me. Don't get me wrong, I've let some friends borrow things, but not expensive things. <.<

A couple of my friends are STILL after me to borrow my dragon axe, though... :notalk:

Not so far.

But I don't lend things out that much. And there's only 3 friends I'd trust my expensive items with atm.

I only trust me brother, nobody else!

I've lent someone full rune at max, but thats only if their really good friends

No sig ftw

Yes, I have been scammed by a good friend before. And I lost contact with them as well because of it. They stole an obby shield and a whip.

I thought I could trust them, but I guess not..

anyways...yeah thats my story

My experiences have been alright so far, most of my mates atm are good to me and lend me things or I lend them things when needed and we always give back. But I got hacked like 5 months ago due to me giving my pass to one of my best mates <.<

No siggy ftw 8-)

I let my best RS friend wear my santa for a while (back when they were 300k odd, <3 her for giving it back though)

Currently I've lended my friend my full rune and said he could keep as long as he wanted, I wonder if he will give it back.

i haven't but one of my best friends in runescape had someone pose as a friend for like 2 months, he asked if he could try on her dragon chain body (worth allot more then it is worth now, 18-20m i think) she said yes, she trusts people to much, he logged in 10 seconds.

she almost quit. people like that should be taught a lesson, i think a punch in the face would do it, and if you see Jwarrior6 in the wilderness, pk him and say sammy said hi.
