How wierd are tornaments!

Funny a little bit

 

 

 

every normal time i fight at the duel areana. i ALWAYS lose(seriusly, even against lower levels=/)

 

 

 

but what im noticing is that in the tornaments you acutally can win against higher levels!

 

 

 

ok this is me in a giant melle only fight/s. im lv 95 combat

 

 

 

1:lv 89=i win

 

2:lv 106=i win

 

3:lv 110=i win!

 

4: lv 97=i win

 

5:(i got into last 4! then i fought a lv 87) i lost!!!

 

 

 

its really wierd if ya ask me

on my old char. at level 83. in drag skirt, rune pl8, rune defender + db axe. i beat a level 104 who was wearing dharoks... (no joke, i have a screenie somewhere).

I've lost unexpectedly. Combat 95 in a 95- tournament, what happens? A level 91 kills me, with some high hits. I super potted too, so even if he did it should balance out. He had lower prayer too. :-k #-o On to the next tourny! 5 mins to go, I'd better win :pray:

Whats messed up is the time out, because it awards victory to the player with most hp left. I was fighting this guy and forcing him to eat every third hit whilst I took about 20 damage, then the guy safes to full hp and the duel times out, and he wins.

 

 

 

It should go on damage inflicted rather tha remaining health.

Course it is pathetic. I mean, I only stake every once in a while, but when I do I stake around 50k. Alot of peoples way to make money is gone. With the tournament, it logs you out right before it starts often. It is seriously flawed, and the worst update I have every seen. If jagex continues to destroy parts of runescape in order to stop real world trading, what will be left? first they nerf the rune market for free to play(although I am a member), now this. Heck, whats next jagex?

go in, wait for 8 minutes, get into the first round, my opponent is lv 119, im 102, i obviously get owned. I probably won't be going baCK there anytime soon. Its too unbalanced, and not to mention, the money is trash. I may go back just to get myself ranked when it dies down in a few weeks, but for now, i'd rather rc, and play CW, that is WAY better than some dumb touny thing :D

Pretty boring, even with 63 people in the tournament you only play a few matches.

 

 

 

Incredibly unfair too, considering a few matches I was put up against level 90s.

I was losing horribly at duel arena, to level 95ish. I'm 111. Then I started using my dds, switching to d2h and didnt lose again :o

It'd be far better if it was like the old duel arena with unlimited stakes and options of Free for all, friends only and invite only to join. Also should be able to set lvl limits, whether it be combat or skill lvls.

 

You decide on an entrance fee, and have your own private tournaments. Winer takes it all.

 

 

 

would be far better than small prizes, waiting times, system problems and lvl 110's playing lvl 50's.

I agree, totally. It's beyond infuriating to face off against a level 50 in the first round, have them hit you once for a 4 and poison you and then you kill them on your next hit. However, the poison hits you continuously, even if you are in the "waiting room." Then you face off against your next opponent (if you even survive the poison long enough) and they kill you in one hit because you lost so much HP due to poison damage.

 

 

 

Oh, and having the ability to host private tournaments with your own rules would greatly benefit the "clan atmosphere."

95 and 91 are pretty close. The combat system is still random, and though you will have a better chance of winning if you are 4 combat levels higher than someone, combat levels can be deceiving, (Maybe I have 65 prayer and you have 52, it will add a couple of combat levels but not much of an advantage) and you will probably win only 60% of the time.

I feel sorry for lower lvl players. I'm combat 108 and have been matched with people far below my lvl. Seriously what chance do they have? Very poor system. :roll:

 

 

 

And as someone stated before, the poison hitting people in the waiting room is stupid as it almost guarantees a 1 hit KO in the next round.

i have finished in 2nd twice to a lvl107 and lvl110 =( and now im stuck facing lvl 110-120's all the time now.

 

I'm happy tourns exist though since now i actually go to the duel arena

Theres a great majority of luck in the combat aspect in this game. (Not saying thats a bad thing.) Also there are people with unevened stats aswell.

i completely agree, especially if the round is 'no heal between rounds'. Then its mostly whoever gets hit first lol. total luck.

 

 

 

uneven stats? yeah, everyone has uneven stats in rs lol
