November 22, 200718 yr He was being watched by the other player. The other player didn't realize he had put up too much, so it was not an informed decision to give him 10 times as much. It's similar to a case where a cashier gives you back too much change. If you take it, you're dishonest. There was no reason for him to NOT accept. The reason is honesty. p.s. finders , keepers. losers, weepers. The motto of the childish and unethical. What makes u think the other player should have realised that he put up too much than? It goes both ways. Don't play all holier-than-thou dude, save it for church cuz ur dealing with a non-believer here.
November 22, 200718 yr What makes u think the other player should have realised that he put up too much than? It goes both ways. I said IF the other person noticed the mistake. If neither notices, then no harm and no foul. That's the point about character being what you do when nobody is watching. Don't play all holier-than-thou dude, save it for church cuz ur dealing with a non-believer here. I'm not religious. I just believe in the Golden Rule and treating people fairly. However, since you've openly admitted that you are dishonest, anyone who actually IS honest would automatically be holier than thou. November 22, 200718 yr Well being scammed or losing alot of items is the only effective way to make people check the second trade screen :) Warnings barely help ... losing pixels does
November 22, 200718 yr I think in those situations people get really excited and can't stop themself from accepting most of the time. I did this once when I sold a Dragon Axe for 3.5 when they were 3.1.I totally regretetd if afterwards :( My RuneScape Blog. Click here!
November 22, 200718 yr Yea that happend to me, that's why I quit so I don't deal with it anymore. It was dishonest, but you must make sure to check yourself because you wreck yourself :P Tbfgraphx14Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.
November 22, 200718 yr You made a mistake. Simple. People must learn from their mistakes, and losing something is the best way to do it. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
November 22, 200718 yr It's an arguable subject if he should have accepted or not. But I know that I wouldn't, things like that have happened to me a couple times, declined every time. I'm just too nice :XD: [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.
November 22, 200718 yr Wrong of him to accept? No... you should have looked at the second trade screen closer. You gave him free money, he'd have to be a fool to turn it down.
November 22, 200718 yr Yea that happend to me, that's why I quit so I don't deal with it anymore. It was dishonest, but you must make sure to check yourself because you wreck yourself :P I hate people who practically brag about quitting.. I don't think it was wrong, it would of just been nice if he told you. As someone said already.
November 22, 200718 yr People have made mistakes like that with me a lot of times and I just decline and trade again so they can put up the right amount. Pixelated money isn't something to be greedy about, if this was real money however... Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino
November 22, 200718 yr although you had made the mistake. he could have just thought you were being nice. on the other hand he could have noticed that you didn't notice you gave him that much and just not said anything. you'll never know
November 23, 200718 yr [hide]This world is full of greed... And vegetables smarter than many humans... Were you attempting to diss me? Lol Pathetic Do you think I was? Es no mi problemo latino! YOu state that the world is full of greed, meaning greedy people, understating that the guy who accepted is greedy. If thats not what you meant, than your post is pointless in this topic. I therefore state that the world is full of people dumb enough to create opportunities for greedy people, or even people who aren't greedy, but become greedy when they see how easy it is to become. But go ahead and believe what you want, just don't flatter yourself in believing everything is about you, simply because you were quoted.[/hide] Dumb I have Dyslexia, sometimes I get Numbers mixed up when I type them, i put in an Extra 0, how does this make me Dumb? What an [wagon]. You're dumb because you bothered to post this topic Last.fm: http://www.last.fm/user/Aaronm14/MY FAVORITE BAND:http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=64310717And the bible is the big book of lies, call me a racist if you must.
November 23, 200718 yr i wouldnt accept, because it happened to me a ton of times before, sure you cant blame him for accepting but the reason i wouldnt accept is because im sure the other guy would notice putting an extra zero and cancel it before i even accept. even sometimes i mistype an extra zero and im 100% aware of it yet the other person waits for me to remove my amount so i can change it and they never accept my extra zero amount. 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin
November 23, 200718 yr The question is, why did he accept. Did he not notice it, just like you? Did he think you really (and I mean really) needed the bones? Did he just think "What a noob, might as well rip him off." Whatever it was, the answer will change. But the blame rests on you. Sorry about your loss man, hope you make that money back soon. It is impossible to exaggerate the unimportance of almost everything.
November 23, 200718 yr I really don't think it was wrong of him. He didn't know probably until after the trade, and well, he probably just thought you were being nice...
November 23, 200718 yr Depends. If he knew you only were paying him 540k he should have questioned it, but if he thought it as a great sign of generousity then it rlly wasn't he's fault. Btw fook-a-ji, did you see that lovely topic before? It was great until it got to page 3 when it turned from happy spamming to malicous gay-bashing.
November 23, 200718 yr Why on earth would it be wrong for HIM to accept? If it was me, I'd have done it at a moment's notice. Of course, he might have thought it was a possible scam (offers that are too good to be true aren't that common!) and kept extra guard. when he got the money, he must have celebrated that he beat a scammer at his own game. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.
November 23, 200718 yr This world is full of greed... And vegetables smarter than many humans... Yes, all the autos these days...Oh, back on topic. No, it wasn't wrong of him to accept them payment. If you clicked the accept button without checking the second trade screen, it's none's fault except your own. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
