What do you like about music?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

What aspects do you like about music? The things that keep you into it, that dont let you lose interest in it?

Some of mine would probably be that it can be inspiring, it is a big thing, there is lots of it, it can be interesting, etc.

It makes me know I'm not deaf.

Hello friend, Senajitkaushik was epic, Good luck bro.

It entertains me while I wait for the bus/am on the bus in the morning and after school :P My iPod gets 1+ hours of use a day just from that.

(I got 150 points on Parachute on my iPod today on the bus :XD: New record)

If I can't trick to it, it's not worth listening to.

I.e., country can burn.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

It's sentimental value. It's not just notes and words that sound great, it reminds me of better times. Writing music is like a catharsis. A document of feelings.

Sometimes it's hard to explain something so broad like "what do you like about music". I just pick up a guitar or play a CD and I know, no need for words.

I've found out long ago that one of the hardest things to do is explain why you actually like something. Sure the musicians may be great, the singers voice is on pitch, etc. But when you like something or find something awesome, its a feeling you really can't explain. A bunch of factors coming together to make something great, combined with your natural tastes. This applies to everything.

But if the question were "What does music do for you", It gives me an escape, a place where I go with my thoughts. When I listen to music I usually do nothing else but lie on my bed and think. It's really.... great.

I just think music is a language the whole world can understand, and here, what you have on your iPod decides a major portion of "who you are (popularity-wise)".

I can't live without my Nano with video tbh... Just can't. And Wednesday is "Music Night" when instead of playing RS I get new music. \'

Mainly (and evidently) because I can use it for elitism.

I agree. I think it's impossible to really... explain the feelings you have when you listen to a downright amazing song. I mean, I remember the chills I got listening to A change of seasons for the first time, it's simply amazing.

Really I just love how it can change your emotions so easily. Honestly, music can always pick me up no matter how I'm feeling -- it's great.

I can't explain it. It's the way the catchiness of the song mixes in to your mind or something like that. The drums, the guitar, the...everything! It's awesome. It makes me feel amazing, like I can take on the whole world. I feel invincible and full of energy and life. Listening to that perfect song...awesome. Music...awesome! <3:<3:<3:

Good night.

What I like about music, music holds me tight

Tell me I'm the only one, wanna come over tonight, yea.

It inspiers, fuels and wakes up. >.>

Emotional qualities. Granted, most of my the music I listen to involve raising adrenaline levels, music where I just generally have trouble not doing anything to, but hey, that's an emotional reaction too, right?
