TheAncient
Yes, Runescape logo may not be as cool, but I find that Mechscape may have a cool logo, but it's lacking in the gameplay department. How would you know? :? Mechscape's logo is decent, but it's not extremely up-to-date. It is simply fitting for the game's subject matter. Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? Lightshayde
i think the rs logo could use a touch up, nothing radical. and i think jagex watches too much heroes :P Lol. The MechScape logo does bear a striking resemblance to the "Heroes" logo... :-s...and so does the FunOrb (what a dumb name) logo. Avatar by Unoalexi! Omali
Yes, Runescape logo may not be as cool, but I find that Mechscape may have a cool logo, but it's lacking in the gameplay department. Games in which the public only knows up to the concept art stage usually do have that problem with lack of gameplay #-o
Bobbington
I love the Mechscape logo, it will lend it's self very well to animation, and the typeface/composition should reflect the games feel very well. there is no doubt that the Runescape logo is dated, as it;s a bit of computer design thats many years old, there is very few bits of design from that time that have stood up to progress. I would expect a revamp of it one day, but it will be based on the existing one probably so would be very limited. Although.... the runescape logo is better than some current well known logos..... BabyPunchers
So black is now freaking awesome. Yipee Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.
aoe325
I think the mechscape and fun orb logos look rather hurried as they're mostly 2D and also both hold the same theme and involve solar eclipses. The 3D runescape logo fits in with the theme of runescape too. It's a fairly based medieval game and the logo shows that with a sword and the stepping/rune stones on which the runescape is carved. By copyrighting the basic form of the logo they can then go into detail and make multiple variations of it Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. BlueLancer
The Runescape Logo looks like it was designed with 5 years old in a hurry tbh Other two are much better Jagex really need to update runescape logo They're supposed to look like runestones, which, if you didn't know, were used by scandinavian people and vikings in Britain. If they want realism, the letters shouldn't look clean-cut, as in the MechScape one (which is set in the future).
R_I_O_T
The fun orb looks horrible but the mechscape one is okay.
llamster
Yes, Runescape logo may not be as cool, but I find that Mechscape may have a cool logo, but it's lacking in the gameplay department. Yes, as one can easily judge how the gameplay is in a game whose existence hasn't even been confirmed yet. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

me
Mechscape's logo looks good to me. And... what the heck is FunOrb anyway? I've never heard of it before. :-k Their trademark on the term FunOrb seems to be for their new mini-games brand. Think back to the mini-games page on Jagex's site where it says "our other multiplayer games will be returning soon in a new suite, but updated and improved with many new features". Jagex have also stated in job vacancies that they intend for their mini-game comeback to be used as a launchpad for a later mobile phone game service (see http://forums.rsbandb.com/about54415.html for more info). It makes sense that their trademark on the term FunOrb relates to their new mini-games brand. FunOrb is another working name for Mechscape. InkofDeath
RuneScapes has far more detail, and looks like the effort was put into it. The others look like 5 second jobs on PS.

Yes, as one can easily judge how the gameplay is in a game whose existence hasn't even been confirmed yet. It can't be played yet, therefore it's lacking in gameplay. It was a joke. Which seems to have flown over a lot of people's heads. (Although I suppose that can be excused since there are people on these boards who would seriously post something like that. P2P forever!...
