Kiriyama
This thread is now about the Rage Zombies. Also, Brooks is a fool for calling Romero Zombies the most likely. It's Rage Zombies now, because after all, the Rage Virus is just Rabies on steroids. So, our plan is pretty much get up high where they can't get to, with supplies and wait it out. Romero Zombies are about as likely as me learning to cast Ultima/Holy (which would rock). Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
Skull
Romero Zombies are about as likely as me learning to cast Ultima/Holy (which would rock). Please, not another few pages of this :( Anyways, rage zombies aren't as difficult as Romero in terms of survivability, and easier to kill since you just take a full auto weapon and put up a wall of bullets. Of course they do have the advantage of speed, dexterity, etc. Honestly the best thing to do is stockpile food and water in a secure location and out last them. Not nearly as fun if it's over in a month or two. Now if the rage zombie is coupled with basic self preservation, and will eat and drink, I could see it being more interesting and dangerous. Kiriyama
All I'm saying is, if we're discussing Romero Zombies as likely again, I want to use magic. If the Rage Zombie has self-preservation skills, then we're [bleep]ed unless we can put back a big enough fight. He's pretty much infallible when it comes to a Romero Zombie outbreak, however it's the assumption that the most likely outbreak will be with Romero zombies that puts him into doubt. He puts too much assumption behind his Solarium (I must have spelled that wrong) virus where a mutation of an already existent virus or disease is more likely. mmmcannibalism
Shotguns are a better choice then a full auto against rage zombies. 1. shotgun is easier to aim 2. machine gun is likely to be non lethal...shooting full auto at a moving target without training isn't going to work 3. a shotgun wound to any part of the body is a very severe injury(if most of the shot hits). A machine gun bullet to the arm or gut won't stop a raging beast from killing you. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed. walka92
if a person has access to a bomb shelter (small, concrete underground "bunker" with food and water supplies), is that likely to be a good defence against zombies? have cctv cameras set up with screens playing it to monitor zombie movements also, do rage zombies "die" if they dont get to eat people in a certain amount of time? are they photosensitive? how strong/fast/intelligent are they? things i need to know. lol I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

BlackDawn
Rage virus... I still think survival would be simple. Obviously many people will die because they won't know what's happening at first, but within time they will all be hidden while the last of the infected die from starvation. Once again the plan of staying in the attic with a few weeks/months of food and water will suffice. That's why you're on the TZDF blackdawn. Even your balls can tear zombies to shreds. They do not have self preservation abilities, they won't stop to drink, will walk through fire etc... They do have the limitations of humans, so we can assume they will eventually become exhausted from lack of sleep, running too long and so on. They are less intellegent than humans because of the virus, yet can still climb and so on. The outbreak will last a month at the most. Also, Brooks is both a fool, yet a smart man when it comes to Romero Zombies. However, he lives purely in fantasy thinking they are the most likely. A Zombie Survival Guide should deal with Rage Zombies. I mean face it, if Rabies mutates to take effect faster, and make them more insane and bloodthirsty, then we've got a problem. Also, the Rage Virus can infect animals who eat the flesh of decaying "humans", so we've got a bigger problem there. I still believe Brooks is a great man for creating the guide, whether it is based on his own ideas or not it is still a fantastic guide. A survival guide on rage zombies would not be long at all, basially, it would just advice you to hide for a few weeks while the infected die from starvation or dehydration. So scrap that idea for a book. Though... The rage animals would definitely be an issue. Though if we barricade ourselves in our attics with our food I doubt any animals could get in, no holes in the roof meaning no infected birds or anything. That's why you're on the TZDF blackdawn. Kiriyama
The problem is: How long til the Rage animals die out? We'd have to be disposing of all the bodies to be safe. Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
