Yes that counts. But I think it is only fair to warn you that about 300,000 more subscribers would have to quit before Jagex even 'thought' about changing it back.

 

 

 

See, Jagex drew the line inthe sand. If they change it back -its like they are saying the cheaters win. I seriously dont see that happening.

 

 

 

Everything Jagex has done is in an effort to make the game fun, fair an equal to all.

 

 

 

You can thank the cheaters for ruining Wildy.

 

You can thank the cheaters for the ending of unbalanced trades.

 

You can thank the cheaters for the tiny little pk area.

 

You can thank the cheaters for the regulation of sales of items through the GE.

 

 

 

It is not Jagex fault that a handful of cheaters took thier game and bastardised it so that innocent gamers ended up suffering and/or losing items unfairly. It is the cheaters fault.

 

 

 

Had everyone played the game the way it was intended - none of these changed would have come about. You would still have wildy, free market, unbalanced trades.

 

 

 

So put the blame where it belongs. On the cheaters.

Well there are a lot of downsides to the update.

 

 

 

The worst of which is the 3k limit: i mean WTF? 3k, make it at least 10k! Say you are selling something for more than its worth when an oppertunity arrises, you might charge a lot extra for an item to a customer. And helping out others? gone. The persistent RWT will find a way around it and what will happen? the legitmate players miss out.

 

 

 

My brother has recently lost his rune scimmy, and i was skilling for a while to get him some cash to get it. Now its going to take me about a week to give it to him, sending him 3k at a time, until he can finally trade it for its real value. That means i need twice as much GP!

 

 

 

The wilderness cash rule is a good idea though, but the revenants are a waste of development time. The one Pking area is becoming a giant PVE area.

 

 

 

Of course, im glad for thenew F2P bank space, whether that was an afterthought by jagex or whether the campaign for F2P bankspace succeded (in which case TIP.IT FTW).

 

 

 

and the party hat economy... If the price is based on the generalstore prices... Think about it. It's like making them untradeable.

 

 

 

And Pking... that was the bestbit about the wilderness.

 

 

 

I'm not going to quit, but the 3k rule has really spoilt it. I mean, if i was about 20xp off a lvl i'd be prepared to pay 4 or 5 times themarketpricefor the stuff to get me up.

I understand. And i'm hoping that i'm not the only one to stop paying.

 

 

 

However, while ideally the changes i'd like to see would be a complete reversal. That won't happen. All I want is a form of [not riskfree] PvP that is viable without a 20 man team.

 

 

 

I understand that these changes we're for 'the greater good' but that fact remains that the current RS2 is not fun for me. I won't waste time playing a game I don't enjoy, simply because of old times.

 

 

 

If Jadex fix it, make it playable regarding my own and many others playstyles, then sure - I'll stop by again.

 

 

 

Edit: And for the record, I'm really not interested in blame. I'm interested in results, and Jadex stopped delivering. ;)

In my opinion, you shouldnt be able to 'buy' your levels like in your example. You should have to work for them. It makes them more appreciated. So that when you see someone who has a level 99 cape, you know they worked for it. They didnt buy their way to it.

 

 

 

Every level I have, I have worked for. I have not bought supplies to level up. I have bought coal in bulk, cause I got tired of mining it. But I didnt pay more than the going rate, cause I am bloody cheap. And I certainly didnt buy enough to level. This will be my third christmas on RS, and I still dont have a 99 cape.

 

 

 

And to the majority of people that have them - they basically 'bought' them(with the exception of combat capes, mining, fishing the ones you cant buy). So those that bought their supplies at high prices, I consider them sell outs.

 

 

 

I intend to work for mine.

 

 

 

So, again, in my opinion, the fact the market has bottomed out, doesnt bother me at all. Because I only need the market if I want a specific item; and now the proces will be more competitive.

 

 

 

And now in the future when I see someone get a new cape - I will know they had to work much harder for it that those that 'bought' them before the update.

They could easily fix bounty hunter if they made a few adjustments. IE basically make it the old wild in a smaller area (they need to make BH bigger...)

 

 

 

and they could definately take some places out of the old wild... like, who uses red dragon isle for anything?

the main thing thats affecting things is gonna be the trade restriction, it screws up lending friends things and definatly screws up runecrafting.... no more double nats on w36 because of unbalanced trades

No, i'm not going quit, just hoping they'll make some changes to Bh and duel arena but apart from that I don't really care about all the protesters but an exception is that it's too bad to see some good people quit :(

I want to see if they have any decent drops, considering their exceptional abilities and AI.

 

 

 

For example: I had a whip, black d hide top, and legs. nothing else. A lvl 92 greater, and 81 lesser took off maybe 15 hp. One lvl 64 revenant hobgoblin got me down to 9 hp before it died. And I have 81 defense. I like these new monsters.

 

 

 

Also, I noticed some things, when it froze me, it sidestepped to get out of melee range. When I pro-maged, it meleed.

 

 

 

MY advice, if you do try to fight these, use dhide, it protects against all attacks =P

As for BH.

 

 

 

Either: A single and multi combat area.

 

 

 

Or, a mage who teles you to a much smaller version of the old wilderness.

 

 

 

With a small, limited in some way, bank in the south(non wild) And the wilderness to the north.

 

 

 

This "new wild" would have to be much smaller than the old wilderness.

 

The fringes of the area would have to be patrolled by Revanents to stop drop traders.

 

You can't tele out. Period. To get out, you have to go through a portal, or speak to that mage.

 

 

 

(Perhaps it could be Freneskae, the home of the Marrajaht(sp?) )

Runescape has still plenty of interesting things to do, it's just a lot less exciting when you're an old player, and have done it all already.

just a thought if the gold farmers can't trade the gold they farm to make money then what if its accounts they trade???

Im going to wait it out for maybe a day or 2, then prob quit. Runescape is just so different now in the past couple weeks/months. Kinda depressing to see jagex make changes cause 10% of the population makes money off it and they ruined it for everyone else. Anyone know if jagex has stocks on the market? im considering short selling them.

No reason to quit, never was a pker, and even though the trading update is going to be the equivelent of a stab in the gut for the community, i will continue.

k i already posted but i just came from the wild and u know what i realized the wild isnt that very dangourous sure it still has some dangers but in the bounty hunter and clan wars there is no wild u cant attack others. and as for those "fersome creatures" jagex was talking about how they attack all players well i just walked right through about 10 of them 102-126 no attacks there.........

im not concerned about the changes to the wilderness. just the changes to trade.

 

 

 

about a week ago my mate and i decided to get to lvl 99 fletching together. with this update. to get to our goal we will need to cut every sinlge log, spin every single string. we CANT TRADE FOR SUPS. no-one will do it anymore. buying yew longs at the *grand exchange* price is way higher than the high-alch value. so no-ones going to do it. not only that. but trading for sups would require aproximately - 1 log, 1 bs and 130gp per longbow. noone can do that when the alch values what, 640gp i think it is?

I was never a big pker, but i did pk. I myself have mixed emotions about the wild update.. i love it for clue scrolls, but hate it for my pures...but i am not going to quit over something so foolish.
