Changes are always hard to swallow, but radical problems calls for radical solutions. Plenty been written, but none really addresses the real issue, simply: Did JaGeX killed RWT? I have braved the worst of Gielinor hell to find this out myself, and I can i tell you this: JaGeX and the legitimate players of RuneScape scored a GREAT VICTORY against the legions of scammers, RWTers, and Botters" The cheaters are crying in pain, their communities closing shop, packing up their bags, and throwing in the towels. They all saw their imminent doom, their days in the shadows over, no longer shall they ruin our beloved Gielinor. Their last ditch efforts to bluff JaGeX are wasted, because we the True RuneScapers stand behind JaGeX and laughs at their threats of RuneScape's doom. Yes, there are great loses, but that is the price of fighting a WAR. Rather than mourning the sacrifices we made, let us look forward to a better, scammer-free Gienilor, Hurrah! Note: Gielinor Hell is a high risk minigame. Do not attempt it under any circumstances. [hide=The Spoils of Our Victory] I think we are going to have to face it. Nothing we could do. We went too far with autoing/RWT. Not our fault. Find another game and another and eventually black markets will crush all mmorpgs. ----------- nah RWT is over kids.. ----------- IMO, were [FIRETRUCK]. All of the black market is [FIRETRUCK]. I've been trying to think of some strategy to transfer money, but I just can't... ----------- I seroiusly think they did it. Were done. ----------- The reason this update was introduced is to stop people making money of there game, statistics show (in Player Moderator forum) that Gold Farmers/Traders all up, make more money annually, Jagex had to resort to extremes to stop this happening, and unless 10,000 people quit members, it looks like Real World Trading is over for good. Fun while it lasted :/ ----------- This will have a MAJOR effect on the ability to securely real world trade your items, as I have personally been banned on several trading accounts. Losing well over 350m. Duel staking was the only safe method remaining, and they made that impossible now as well. This will most definitely affect many many merchants on ????? and other cheating communities. I suggest everybody join in the masses and send them complaints on ALL your Runescape accounts, threatening to quit, not renew your membership, or not purchase it in the first place. does that mean we can't pick our opponents? or if we do we can only stake 3k... My one goal in this game was to become a runite miner and smith so that I could give the good-hearted players in this game free armor with which to defend themselves from those in this game who do their best to damage or destroy their experience. My goal of being a rune smith shall shortly be meaningless; it becomes a quest after a pointless 99, which serves only as a testament to the time I wasted in this game instead of something with which I could show people generosity and goodwill that countless others in this game have not shown me. I said years ago that he was a scammer and a cheater, it's good to feel vindicated. But I had no idea he ran his own website to destroy the game he claimed to love. I sent in over 100 names that were autoing at the flax...That takes time that I rather be talking to REAL people instead of someone autoing... You think you are mad at the big update.... Duke Freedom sold him some gold and they got caught pretty much straight away. From there though, Duke realised the error of his ways (used the money to pay for college, I believe), while r2 seems to have gotten a taste for illicit money. They said it was more of a temporary thing so that they could still have Runescape in 2008 and start being able to use their resources on updates and customer support issues and try to balance out game. R2pleasant got banned for it, but that just made him more blatant about his actions and dealings in the black market. Disgusting and disappointing. He seems to be brilliant mind and a revered character in the ugly underbellies. I do hope Duke learned from his mistakes, but R2 still have "- Sold 100M to Duke Freedom in 2006" advertised in his profile. They would not only have to pay for the ore, but they'd be paying more for the armor now that the price for the raw materials needed to make armor far exceed those of the end product. In the end, they would have been better off buying the entire set themselves for much cheaper than I could ever have manufactured it. Unbelievable. Still enjoying RuneScape? It's great to see that RWTs have finally realised that Runescape is now impossible to making a living from. What's even more awesome is that these cheats are now off to bug other MMPORGs. I think that in the months and years to come, Jagex will be hailed by the gaming industry as an original thinker and being one of the first games to truly kill off RWT on it's products.
