Tbfgraphx14
Oh yea, I need to volunteer more, too. Actually, I need to volunteer at all. Good colleges look for things like that....Yeah, I've done about 1 out of the required 20 hours so far. You only have to do 20? Man you're very lucky I have to do 60 hours or else I dont get to walk across the stage and get my diploma. I only have maybe 30 and im in my junior year. I really need to start volunteering. Heh I have over 120 :D Fun stuff. I'd like to learn a lot more about computers and that material that confuses me. Also I would really like to learn a few chinese characters here and there. Lenin64
...and to stop procrastinating. Seriously, procrastinating is going to kill me unless I kill it first. :? I know I;ve already mentioned it, but just to drive my point home: I have 3 days to finish 3 projects, one a power point and 2 page paper on Vladimir Lenin for ROTC, one for Driver's Ed, and..another for Driver's Ed :| .Yea, 2 for one class. And a paper on the French revolution for History due the 10th. Haven;t started any yet. Most of my projects are last-minute, no, all actually, and it really needs to stop. rushrock
^ That sucks, and that happened to me with two papers. It was a Sunday, and two papers were due Monday. Well...It was 3 AM when I was done, and I had to write one of them from scratch. :wall:

And a paper on the French revolution for History due the 10th. Haven;t started any yet. Most of my projects are last-minute, no, all actually, and it really needs to stop. Same story with me. I've got a major project for this class called ACT (American Culture and Thought). It's so huge that just about everyone in the school knows about it. Teachers and students alike. The thing is pretty much a binder that, if done correctly, will be stuffed six inches thick with different things about my family's history. Haven't started it and it's due here in the next two or so weeks. I also have the most ridiculous and complicated chemistry project. Not complicated because of the subject, but complicated because the teacher that wrote it must've been smoking something. I could've written a better project. It's due next Friday. Next, I have a take home Calculus final. Normally, a take home test would seem easy. Though my teacher knows that and decided to make the thing consist of the most difficult twenty problems he could come up with. It's also due next Friday. Finally, I have auditions for all-state this Friday. I was auditioned well enough to make it from the region level to the area level and now I get to go audition for state. I haven't practiced much and it's going to kill me. Needless to say, procrastination sucks. /rant
Nadril
Really its just for some better grades this next semester. (meh, usually is). However a good part of that is always going to class. Sometimes I'll be sleepy and just skip an unimportant class, and sadly those stack up. In fact missing one class for my Intro to graphics nearly made me fail. What happened is she anounces the paper a week ahead of time, and I wasn't there. I ended up missing the paper and while the rest of my grades wern't that great (D"s and such) the paper just killed me. Luckily I studied my [wagon] off and got a 93+ on the final to pass the course (had to get a 93+ to pass and I did). Next semester shouldn't be too difficult though, only tough classes will probably be College Alg and World history.
Guest
Good replies everyone. Edited title to include what people got up to for NYE. I personally had an awesome time. I went into the city (Sydney), and went around walking around for a few hours with my mates and some girls and then had VIP tickets in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (got them off a mate) for the 12am fireworks to welcome in the new year. Was awesome views and had a great time. Definitely want to do it again at the end of this year. :) Anyway post yours.
Roseiah
For New Years Eve I was planning to go out with some friends, but I wasn't very well, so I stayed in, and my Dad set off some fireworks in the back garden. Some of my friends came and we had a little party in my room. Going out to an actual party would of been better, but I wasn't well enough, ah well, I had a good time. How2PK
Hey, Dusqi is here. Happy new year boy! Hey Daaaaaaaaaaan, happy new year to you too! I watched the roundup of Film 2007 with Jonathan Ross yesterday and thought of you. I aim to watch some non-hollywood movies :o) You, you, you thought of me? Cool. 8-) It's always a good thing to broaden your horizon and watch something else than the stuff that's played at the big theaters. :) And what did I do for new years eve. Well, I think this has got to be one of the most psychedelic nights of my life. Went to my friends at eight. And we just watched some t.v. played trivial pursuit, had some nice things to eat and a drink. We did some nice looking fireworks, and we went to the city. Usually when I go to the city, I'm pretty passive, I'm with my friends, and I just drink and chat a bit. Now I chose for another approach, and I just 'floated' trough the entire club, observing everything, a little paring dance every once in a while. You get some strange looks, but it's nice nonetheless. Of course everything is mixed with a little drink. The strangest thing was a girl who put on too much lipstick, I said that to her, and then she wiped of her lipstick with her finger, and put it on my forehead? Well, the night ended at 7 the next morning and all in all it was pretty great, a lot better than last year when we had dinner together and didn't went out to town. ThoseTheBrokes
I got drunk and kissed a girl I hadn't met before at my mates house party. & then all the girls said how much of a nice guy I am, but they were put off by my 'antics' with house parties & girls. So this years resolution is to start a serious relationship and stop being an arse. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
Lenin64
As part of my New Years Eve Celebratory Event, I watched a Family Guy mini-marathon followed by board games at my neighbor's house. Fun/odd story: We were playing "Taboo", and it was my team (guy team)'s turn for the guessing and clues. One word was orchard. The clue we were given? "The gay guy runs through this with grapes" :?: :? Turns out he didn;t know what an orchard really was #-o Is there any gay guy on television or something that runs through orchards with grapes? Oh yea, and we won. I am teh pwnage at that game, clues and guessing Command the Murderous Chalices! IGoddessI
Tell my dad exactly what I think of him while I move out and smile while telling him he'll never get an invite to my wedding. Yeah we won't go there :D On the good side of things I went to the casino with my partner, our best mutual friends Murray and Jolene, also Todd and Jenny. We had good food, good wine and a hell of a nice fire work display up on the casino balcony overlooking the river : Then a 3 hour taxi wait and 2 hours sleep before work the next morning :wall: The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. misterxman
Had a good family new year's eve. We managed to cram 30+ people in the small basement to watch the NYC ball drop in the house's only big screen TV (while drinking champaign).
