Unbalanced Trade Removal / Dealing with Scabaras

Merchanting was due to die. Come on sitting in bank all day yelling what u buy and sell. Get a life and start playing. If you want to merchant, buy stocks and enjoy buying/selling. As for GE prices, WE are responsible for them. selling at maximum price WILL drive normal price up, same goes for minimum. Thats how real market works. Up untill now all we had was few websites that artificially set prices and everyone follows them. GE truly shows power of supply and demand.

JaGEx ultimately decides them. Yes, many items do follow the normal supply/demand laws, but JaGEx has put in price floors and ceilings and stopped many items from changing prices. Take Yew Longs or Gold Bars for example. They are supposed to be much cheaper, but because of restrictions JaGEx has put in place, they can't fall to their actual price.

 

 

 

 

Well unpopular items are dropping because all the people wanna sell fast and therefore sell for minimum price. For popular items as yew longs, people are selling them for maximum price and a lot of people buy them because they can. How that does not drove prices up before i don't know. Prices before were fixed because of websites that put price in place. You can me could not control price at all. Now if you buy a lot of some item, you will drive price up or down. As with abnormal yew prices ... well i think we had it wrong before and people are willing to pay more than 550 per bow.

 

 

 

Jagex decides when to change prices, and they have stopped people who want to change their prices. Have you noticed how many items are exactly at or just a bit below alch price? Some items ahve price floors or celing that are not 5% difference from the market price, such as green dhide bodies. Steel plates are way off, and so are hundreds of other items. Its amazing how a 3rd party site run by amateurs is more accurate than a multimillion dollar company at naming prices. Jagex has to learn that their arbitrary high alch prices are not holy writ.

? So, we decide the prices, eh? You just proved yourself wrong. We dont decide prices, Jagex does.And we cant do anything about it. They clamied that the Grand Excrement was an alternative and we could trade elsewhere if we wished. Not anymore, they just elimated the competition.

Oh right, Jagex! i dont really mind, 30k and 3k is not that big a difference if this isnt your first week playing, but I still think they should have based it on total level or time played in hours. And whats with punishing past members. My p2p main account has 150+ qp, but I can still only trade 3k. What's up with this?

And Tewas, you mention that these things take time and that they are working on it... why can't they have told us about the updates before the time it takes to fix it? If a car has faulty brakes, you don't release it to the public and then say that you will fix it in two months. You either postpone the car until the brakes are fixed, or you fix it in time for the release. If Jagex can't do that, I don't know what to say. And if Jagex thought that this big of an update wouldn't impact the game so much that it would only need quick minor updates... I don't know what to say.

the loot share thing will come some time who knows when exactly, lets hope next week. until then perhaps stocking up on your monster hunting supplies is a wise idea.

 

 

 

You should read my above post, But I shouldnt have to wait to resume monster hunting because of poor implantation by Jagex.

 

As for my supplies, I have enough to last me for a year or more, So I don't need to stock up at all, Most higher level players dont, I refuse to sell my Super sets, Sara brews and antifires for the insulting GE prices.

What's the bright side? My Pking has been removed, Staking has been limited. Bounty hunter is not a substitute , its an insult to pkers everywhere. I cant trade my friends to give them a gift or a present. What bright side do I have? The fact I have 99 firemaking and 90 herblore banked and I can level without needing interaction and just improve my skills? Thats really not what I pay to do.

I pay to have fun in the way I see fit and I seek a challenge, I dont buy items and prefer to earn them myself, If I go to KBD with 3 people, we KBD until we get 3 Mediums.

 

And as far as monster hunting. Im going to give a shout out to artemis1330 because he is always ready to go :-D, But You can find a team always if you look hard enough or have enough friends with the same interests.

The tournaments don't really work. The preset rules, the few people who do go there, the few people of high ranking who go there, etc. You really don't win much money.

 

 

 

Have you been there recently? The tournaments are packed (although only on one of the theme worlds at once), there are plenty of high-ranked, high-level people there, and you can win quite a bit of money if you're good. It's not nearly as much as you could win in old staked duels, of course, but you also have no risk of losing a fortune. The preset rules also add some variety and strategy, rewarding players who know who to take advantage of them.

And I don't think the tweaks are coming out this month; all we're getting are a couple of quests and Summoning.

I have observed that the Scabaras rangers and lancers are blind as bats. I can often walk up to them one square at a time and ambush them.

 

 

 

I had a ranger walk right over the top of me near one of those floor traps.

 

 

 

Most people are getting forked by running through the caverns. The sudden movements get the attention of the mages and then it's all she wrote.

How many chests are there in the Scabaras lair? I fould one, and it had a page in it, not too far from the floor traps along the north pathway.

Scabaras are assignable for Slayer after you complete the quest. My slayers are on it to see if they are a good task or not. Will post our decision after enough ppl have received them.

 

 

 

However most quest related slayer creatures are worthless and annoying. Many people choose not to do quests so they don't get assigned/have a chance to be a time wasting worthless slayer creature.

They should let us choose if we want to do those tasks without burthorping them. I don't feel like doing any more quests because they often punish us with [cabbage]ty slayer tasks.

Thanks.. yeah someone on my forum got assigned them too. Can you kill any type for the assignment, like kalphites, or do you get assigned a specific type, like the spiritual warriors/mages/rangers?

 

 

 

I'll disagree slightly on the quest-specific monsters. Warped tortoises are fast to access, easy to kill and have some decent drops. Jungle horrors stink but cave horrors have great drops (if not the best XP). And so far these seem to have really good drops too.

The KB states: "Scabaras minions" as a task, so I would assume that it's all of them....

 

 

 

Obviously not the zombies or skeletons, but I would assume all the others are just one task. :)

Personally I feel whilst still very restricting, I could defiantly live with 30k..... it stops the majority of free gifts I give to, and revive from friends.... although from day to day life, 30k is a nice boundary either side that i can live with.

 

 

 

Obviously I would be lieing if I said I though it was great and love having it..... but it is a price I am very much worth paying to be rid of the cheating community of the game.

I can see the merit in each method, but personally I'd prefer to add to the limit over time.

Personally I like brine rats for their drops and easy xp. I like cave horrors for the drops. But thats the only quest related slayer monster I really like.

True.... I suppose some would say that makes it another members benefit.... but I don't really think like that.

 

 

 

However with th *majority* of f2p being lower levels for the *majority* of f2p 3k is still quite a large amount of money..... I remember how it was for me.

 

 

 

But that is more the "free players who have not become members yet" rather than "the F2P players"..... where I feel a differnce can be found.

Man completing the journal is frustrating... i've spent over 100k on food for it allready. i'm actually getting 0-1 page a trip and i'm killing tons of them.
