January 14, 200818 yr AGS and SGS have remained at their exorbitant (143M and 112M~) prices for almost 10 days now, meaning most likely that neither has been purchased. It's rumored that Jagex fixed Party Hat prices, namely Blue, since they weren't being traded. Why will or why won't Jagex fix AGS and SGS prices? Keep in mind AGS dipped down to 108M and SGS dipped to 80M before the trade restrictions. Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? January 14, 200818 yr AGS and SGS have remained at their exorbitant (143M and 112M~) ags is 142 i believe now, and it started @ 113 nearly 114 if not more. Keep in mind AGS dipped down to 108M and SGS dipped to 80M before the trade restrictions. ags i saw for 105 frequently, and 102 scarcely. and sgs was about that price, i heard 1 guy bought 1 for 79. anyway, one may presume that the dipped because of the trade update basically. but also, since lootshare is basically [bleep]ed. these items may be more demanded now or more likely, short on the supply factor as of late. jagex probably wont intervene at all with godswords. ill just assume(as i dont keep track of party hats exactly) that they raised the price of blue, and godswords would be a lowering(of a significant amount) so jagex might think it would be best to let them smooth them selves out. however, yes i wish they were pre-jan prices. i was considering buying a sgs.
January 14, 200818 yr how will they intervine? if they lower the price, no one will sell if they raise the price, no one will buy
January 14, 200818 yr I can tell you exactly what is killing the trading of those... the current trade restrictions. Players want to decide the prices, not have it locked up so tight that the market can't shift of its' own accord. This will probably not get fixed any time soon, if ever. Players want a lot for those swords, and the market price may be too low right now, just like for an overload of other things. ~Mr. Devnull (p.s.: I hate being late to post. -.- ...) and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... January 14, 200818 yr Author To clarify: there are LOTS of sellers for AGS's right now at MIN price. That means the AGS price is supposed to be LOWERED if anything. how will they intervine? if they lower the price, no one will sell if they raise the price, no one will buy there are people willing to sell at 105... lol there are people willing to buy at 120... January 14, 200818 yr Wait a couple days. I was going to buy some monster drops because I knew lootshare would screw over the supply, but decided it was too risky with summoning on the horizon. With lootshare failure messing with supply, the price rise isn't suprising. I can see jagex having to adjust prices individually for items with low volume, like blue party. IMO ags will come down if the situation is as you explained.
January 14, 200818 yr So prices have been the same for a little over a week, nothing wrong with that. Jagex isnt going to do anything about it either. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
January 14, 200818 yr I assume most of you have seen some other threads about the many weaknesses of the GE. And I can guarantee you that most of this is true.. For many items the price update (-changes) just s@cks. Very probably Jagex is still working on last minute changes/testing of Summoning and is having no attention at all for the Exchange... Seems more and more that the management in Jagex towers doesnt know anything about in game priorities.....
January 14, 200818 yr Hyjack01, I agree. They need to fix what is wrong before they unleash the next part, or the next part will be a mess too. ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... January 14, 200818 yr This is the problem with a market Jagex controls. 99 Firemaking | 99 Mage | 99 Range | 99 Hitpoints | 99 Strength | 99 Attack
January 14, 200818 yr It's a scary time to by and sell anything, I myself can't see Jagex not having a helping hand in the market prices it's to good an opportunity for them to pass up is it not? I've never been one for rare's and now even more so, is the future of rares secure? With the release of summoning upon us I fear the worst is to come, what's going to happen if summoning is not at all money consuming? Mass amount of players wanting there rare's back, or if it is a money drain even more of a slump in prices? - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
January 14, 200818 yr Well, abvously, the GE is programed to see what is being bought/not purchased and change accordingly. If all the AGS's were put on lowest, the GE would slowly lower the price, even if there were no buyers. When people put on middle and high, the price is set not to drop. So its really the people who are keeping the prices on middle and high that are keeping the prices from dropping. As for the lootshare, it really has peaked prices since less drops are being produced, however once Jagex finally updates the lootshare-split system, prices will return to normal, and depending on the update, might fall even more than they were pre-jan. Not a good time to buy non-bandos items right now, I'd just keep your cash and wait for a bit. (Bandos items dont typically change because theres enough people in w6 killing him all the time to supply enough drops)
January 14, 200818 yr that doesn't mean "none" have been traded...it means very few have been traded a certain number has to go through before prices can be affected...what that number is i do not know and jessy's assumption about blue was wrong...that was the only price that they underspeculated. i could have gotten 430-450 before they change the GE. i held onto it for the off chance that they didn't change prices at all and that i could get 550 for it  ...and i FIGURED they'd have gotten the real price of it so it would have been zero risk. well...was wrong there..because 380-420 was WAY off...not to mention the prices of other hats were WAY off too, except Jagex put them too high
January 14, 200818 yr Considering that Armadyl is easily soloed with good stats and Saradomin is impossible to solo and very hard to kill with a group.... I'm amazed that AGS is still the most expensive.
January 14, 200818 yr Considering that Armadyl is easily soloed with good stats and Saradomin is impossible to solo and very hard to kill with a group.... I'm amazed that AGS is still the most expensive. I'm guessing that it's because of the no melee restriction. This is perceived as a bigger restriction than it actually is, and so no one likes killing Armadyl.
January 14, 200818 yr Well, if they make the SGS restore summoning energy the way it does prayer points, that could change things a bit as well. ;) Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill!

(Bandos items dont typically change because theres enough people in w6 killing him all the time to supply enough drops) That is where I disagree with you. There is no evidence to support this claim as every single party hat thread (with the exception of 1 or 2, as there is to every rule) that I have seen posted on the forums the posters are posting their hats for the minimum price. In the case of purple party hats they have remained perfectly stagnant with their 152, 160 and 168 ranges. If your statement were accurate these prices, as well as any of the other higher priced items, would have had their bare minimum prices effected. This hasnt been the case for quite some time, which is what the maker is trying to point out. (However, there was some confusion about whether or not the sgs did actually lower a mill or two...) As the grand exchange is now, the price does not lower if an item is not even being thought about being purchased. Believe me, I cant think of very many party hat owners wanting to keep theirs right now, nor can I think of anyone who wants one, otherwise it would have changed by now. However, I am not sure if your thoughts on how it works would be the best change for jagex to make, but they sure need to do something. January 15, 200818 yr Seeing that they have never done anything about the DFH, which has remained at exactly 51m market value for as long as its been on the GE....I doubt it. Need assistance in any of these skills? PM me in game, my private chat is always ON
January 15, 200818 yr For so long the prices of things were X, after the GE and Jagex cutting the RWT and etc, there has been so many changes and more to come...that the market hasn't had a chance to settle and won't til atleast the summer time unless theres more changes. AGS, SGS, etc. these are just not changing in price because theres high lvl's with alot of cash and they can't stake any more so why not buy these new weapons and armour and train combat...and look good. Maybe Jagex is running the GE prices but I don't think so I think people are just panicing because prices are dropping and people are selling for gp for the new skill and people are spreading RUMORS...just like this thread saying jagex fixing prices...maybe maybe not
January 15, 200818 yr I wouldn't put it past em to "correct" the market... Welcome to the U.S.S.R.S. Everybody! If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
January 15, 200818 yr I wouldn't put it past em to "correct" the market... Welcome to the U.S.S.R.S. Everybody! USSR, extra S. why is russia always the target for communism? russia is no longer a communist state, i believe china(still known as "communist china") is communist still. cuba is still communist i believe(the last remaining communist division of the USSR) and N. korea i believe might be a communist state. seriously, russia is a fine country, but to stereotype russia seems unfair. but, i believe communism is not the best term for this purposed conspiracy towards players. as others have stated socialism is more domineering the communism in this case. but i am not what you might call a "government" fanatic. anyway, point is i think people over react about these ideas that their economy is being controlled. back to the point, i dont think jagex will adjust those prices of those weapons to a dramatically lower price. i was anticipating they would, had i NOT anticipated they update the market value of godswords such as AGS, i would have kept mine and made easily 25mil "forced" profit.
