My sister Sarah knows my email password and my RS password. Why? So if I die, she can let people know what happened, and that I won't be around anymore. :lol:

The real question is: why would they need it? Such as if my girlfriend wanted to know my RuneScape password and she doesn't play, whats the point? TIF, WoW, all the other stuff too. What possibly on earth would my sister do on TIF? Nothin really. She never came nor never will.

 

 

 

Plus if I reveal one password I screwed the rest. All my passwords are the same just with mixed puzzle pieces. These mixed parts I write down and sometimes [wagon] in my school steal my notepad and think they know all my passwords. Ha, idiots. :

I like having my own private things...

I use the same password for everything that doesn't really matter and I have complicated, unique passwords for things like TIF, RuneScape, Hotmail, IRC, etc... Places where I regularly post as 'Cowman_133', a place where someone could change my 'personality', and my personal things like my email.

 

 

 

I'd never give out any of my passwords to anyone or they'd be able to access pretty much all my things. :? I don't even give out my bike combination. :lol:

Ironically, three of my friends know my FullTilt password... which is odd considering that I get paid into it and there's always at least $10,000 sitting in there.

 

But I generally don't hand out password. Not that it makes much of a difference since I use the same one with extra stuff at the end - yay security :lol:

Forgot them too often and when I had to change my password for uni and high school every few months I really got sick of trying to think of something new. Found a combination I liked and just changed the last 3-4 characters.

I have 20+ character passwords for everything :lol: They are all different and each contain letters, numbers and symbols. My password for Tip.it is 26 characters long, I believe :lol:

In regards to the actual question, I'm not against it, but I wouldn't blindly do it. It's not like I'd hand my boyfriend a list of all my usernames/passwords for everything once we started dating. But if there was an emergency or my boyfriend needed to use my e-mail or messenger or whatever, I'd give him my password.

My ex and I used to know each other's passwords. It's not like we exchanged them officially, but it just happened. He's at the computer, you're still in bed and want to know if you've got e-mail, so you make him check it and vice versa.

 

 

 

It only became a nuisance when we had split up and I discovered that he was still checking and reading my e-mails even six months, a year after the break-up (it was rather traumatising, we were practically engaged). It was a web-based mailaccount (university address) that kept track of your last login time...

 

 

 

The awful thing is, I didn't change my password when I found out. I got some very odd satisfaction out of the fact that he still cared enough to check up on me. I never confronted him or told him I knew either. Awful, or what. The account doesn't exist anymore, thank god.

Fair enough, put grudges behind you and move on. Change your passwords and forget about the blackmail because it only works in her favour, not yours. Use a bit of common sense, maybe you're her ex for a reason too ;)
