IGoddessI
Meh, didn't seem like a big deal to me. Was nothing more then a more mature Formal dance in my eyes. Probably the highlight of the night was when 3 guys from the class decided to do a dance during the middle of dinner (They were allowed of course). I think the thing that made me most sad about the night was that my Girlfriend wasn't there, so while almost everyone else had a date, I was there alone :( Not to mention I didn't go to Niagra falls because I didn't feel like dealing with drunk people. The music was ok for once, and the dancing was amazing. It was an ok night. Aww Aaron no wonder you didn't enjoy yourself. I bet the night would have been a blast and the waterfalls, absolutely beautiful in the presence of your lady You could always take her there to make up for it :P The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. Doom1200
I haven't had mine yet, but my friend who's a senior told me about his. Apparantly one of the other seniors is gay and he brought his date with him. After the banquet when they went to the afterparty, the gay guy's(not naming names)date took off his pants and proceeded to grind on the gay guy and all the girls. In his tighty whities. warren211
My friend's sister told me about her high school prom. there were two lovebirds there and so, by the punch table with ballroom dancing in the background, they dropped their clothes and had intercourse right there by the table... later there was a giant juke line. chaperones frantic to stop it. 8-) [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Range_This11
Prom=Giant waste of money. Someone has no friends. Actually, e-thug, I had a girlfriend both years (Junior and Senior) for prom and we both decided that wasting over 400 dollars on a glorified homecoming dance/dinner, was a bad move. I have plenty of friends. Would you like to see my facebook? Over 200 friends. Get real. It's the same reason I did not buy a class ring either. I believe that spending 200 dollars on something that I will look at and go "wow, high school sure was fun" is dumb. I'd rather save the money my parents would have spent on proms and a class ring, and have them give it to me for graduation, or help me pay for my college next year. But gosh, since I didn't go to prom, I must be SUCH a loser. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder." stan18
we had a thread like this like... 3 months ago, heh mine was june 5th. If anyones been to philadelphia, pa in the US, our prom was in the constitution center. Everyone was skeptical about it at first, but it was pretty nice. The dance floor was small and really oddly shaped, and everything else was on the second floor. But, the walking space was really narrow in the two spots that led to the other open seats, so my god it was hard to get around. we had a theme... i think. maybe not. we got to vote for a song, too, but the list was all non-prom like songs and... wonderwall. wonderwall didn't win, some emo song did. It was supposed to be the last song, but for some godforsaken reason the last two songs were YMCA and thriller. the rest of the songs were... bad... tickets were $92.5 per person this year because we had to get the center's catering. last year's prom was $65. and the shirts were terrible. i had gone 42 hours without sleep by the time prom ended, my date disappointingly left early but came back, but by then it was too late i guess the only good thing was after prom - i rented a shorehouse over the weekend (fri - sun) down in wildwood with friends and ended up finding two other prom groups there, making the total group about 17 people. that was awesome. now that i think about it, prom was pretty bad... Solidus_77
Lionheart, it's funny that you should feel so excluded. But gosh, since I didn't go to prom, I must be SUCH a loser. Now now, no need to get defensive. If you didn't want someone making the obvious connection between disliking prom and having no friends you should have justified your response in the first post. Anyways, keep making good friends on facebook; those are the best ones to have =D> Anyways, I happen to be someone who enjoyed highschool and all the life-long lessons that I learned (outside of class obviously) and what better way to celebrate than with a high-class party. It's different from the usual parties, but I sure loved the dance part (which was actually better than the afterprom dance because I was the one who started it). 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! Solidus_77
Question about proms: Is it considered almost mandatory to have a date? or is it not a big deal if you're single? A lot of people seem to go single and nobody really seems to mind at my school so I'm curious if it's the same elsewhere? Now now, no need to get defensive. If you didn't want someone making the obvious connection between disliking prom and having no friends you should have justified your response in the first post. If you really want to know, I have about 10 friends on Facebook that are from video games :| Perhaps you don't understand, but the fact that you use Facebook as a justification in any way is a joke (and of course now that you're acting defending the facebook argument you're just sinking lower). There's also a far more effective way of telling someone you have friends other than the silly number of friends on facebook, it goes like this: "I have lots of friends". There. Nothing more. If you are totally secure about your social life, you don't need to say anymore and his comments of "someone has no friends" really shouldn't get to you. 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! RSBDavid
at first glance the title appeared "How was everyone's porn?"... My prom was exciting. Me and my GF went to Outback Steakhouse and I spent 60 bucks. After the post prom We fell asleep in my car and my parents thought we did "it" so I got grounded for a week. I also got suspended for 5 days following prom for being framed for hacking the school. and I just got ungrounded officialy today after nearly 3 months. Faux
I went to two proms this year. My friend asked me to be her date, so I said okay. She spent over 400 just between the two of us. Prom tickets + the rent on the hummer limo. Waste of money considering her prom was really bad. Mine was cheaper and way better. Whats the average age limit on guests is? Lenticular_J
I'm still three years from any real prom, but we had a "Banquet" at the end of last year. To be honest, it was a great night at the beginning. All of us guys were laughing at each other at our year video, the food was good, and right before the dance we all gathered into a Journey moshpit. For the first hour or two of the dance, most of the guys (the rest are mostly in-the-closets trying to prove their heterosexuality) had a moshpit/danceoff. Then a lot had to take care of their pissy girlfriends, which was funny for us singles. The last hour was pretty crappy, though. It got hot, all that was played was rap music, and some guy did his business on the back of some girl's dress during the "grinding." I personally think it's stupid, if we're gonna dry hump, why do it with other people. All in all, though, pretty great night. Easily coulda made it better, but me and my friends all got pretty sick from the heat and lack of water. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
