I've tried using the new detail mode on an old computer, which I kind of knew wouldn't run the new graphics. I get to about halfway through the loading screen when it goes to another text screen saying things about my driver isn't good enough, etc. So i've tried downloading the latest java and drivers and it doesn't appear to be working. think the problem may simply be my graphics card. anyway, I usually play RS on a Mac but for some reason, none of the detail options are working on Internet Explorer for mac. All I get is a white screen, then it freezes. I've tried all java options, High Detail, Safe mode, it just does not want to work. Interestingly, though, on High Detail, the screen doesn't go white. It stays black, and nothing happens at all. Finally on Safari when I load any version of RS the screen goes white, and I get a little red cross in the top left hand corner... Any help? Runescape was unable to load the 3d acceleration library needed for high detail mode. To resolve this: # This will happen if you have another webbrowser window open which is already using your 3d acclerator card. For example this will happen if you try to load two copies of the game at once, which is not supported. Please close ALL your webbrowser windows, and then restart your webbrowser and try again. # If you have never been able to play the game in 'high detail' mode, then it is possible your hardware or operating system does not support this mode. Please go back to the detail select page, and select 'standard detail' instead. If problems persist then please refer to our technical FAQ which can be found in the FAQ section of our website. I fixed this by closing all my windows then opening up RS again and it worked fine. Mine gets to the "Loaded Interfaces" on the loading screen, freezes and I have to reload it, goes to that message. I can see there are some very impressive pictures but there are things that need to be sorted. Have fun :thumbsup: ~Boo My old laptop works it has a 64mb intergrated graphics, just make sure you take away a few features (Mainly the high to low) and use the lowest resolution.
