Am I the only one to think that item lending is crap ou is there anyone else who shares my opinion.

PS: I'm sick of being at the GE and people saying borrow dragon chain, borrow godsword, borrow whatever..... :x

dont lend items if you dont like it. and if you dont like seeing it, just set public to off or friends only.

If you have to change your playing style because of an update in a bad way, doesn't that render the update as a bad one?

 

 

 

To be honest, lending requests shouldn't be heard by random people, but people on your friend list only. Who, for no apparent reason, would lend someone they don't know items? For me it's a rubbish update- never going to use it anyway.

I don't understand why people think complete strangers are going to let them borrow their items which they've worked for themselves.

I think despite the obvious negatives like beggars it will be a good thing for friends who want to lend stuff to each other.

 

 

 

As for lending items to complete strangers, I'm okay with it if I'm not planning to use the item for a specific period of time since I like to be helpful, but lending out stuff like godswords is really out of the question. I don't quite trust the system enough yet. I lent someone my whip today because I was rcing and obviously not using it, but then I can afford like 55 of them. No big deal if something glitchy happens.

Remember when assisting came out? Everyone was like "zomg all my st4ts are g0n3 to wast3!!11!!!" And now, what do you see? NOTHING. Everyone likes it, (from what I see) being able to make high level armor or jewlery with no risk, this item lending will soon turn into the same thing, a easily accessible way to conveniently do something.

It's pissing me off that people are always trying to borrow rares or godswords. It's so annoying to hear it every few seconds...

i have to agree with this. some users complained to me what the dismantle option does. i've been using this update since the start and no1 attempted to scam my hilt. i think jagex COULD of managed the godswords more carefully if they were even thinking of releasing item lend.
