  • Okay so I'm pretty confident at least 2 of you remember me and maybe .5 of you remember how my last post went. To recap, I went on the first date of my life and then a second one that went poorly.   T

Rob,

I'd also like to say that communication is absolutely key!

I wouldn't sweat that right now; she needs her space. However, if the time ever comes (ie, she brings it up) you need to address that the both of you need to communicate to each other more clearly. If it were me, I'd much rather my fiancée tell me she needs space, as opposed to her friends. The more you communicate, the more you are honest, the less this stuff happens. When it does happen from time to time, you realize how little it is.

Hey guys, quick problem.

So I was up at like 1 AM local time, and my gf texts me and cancels our plans for later that day. I text her back that it's really rude to cancel on plans at such an ungodly hour, and that I'm pretty [bleep]ing pissed off. She fires back telling me about her dying grandfather and tells me to [bleep] off, and she's all pissed off at me now.

I really don't understand what I did wrong here.

She was upset about her grandfather, and you went off at her on a related subject. It's not your fault because you didn't know, but it is because you did it anyway.

Just apologize.

The way I see it, she didn't react too differently to how you did. It sounds like you really got pissed at her, and honestly over something pretty trivial. You overreacted a lot. You say it's rude to cancel plans at such an ungodly hour - why? You were awake at the time. She texted you. Why does it matter what time it was? If you were upset because of the short notice, then I'm sure you had to have known there was a good reason for it. You got really pissed off at her and raged before you even knew the reason. So you got mad at her and it's certainly reasonable that she was upset by it, especially given the circumstances under which she canceled the plans.

In short: what you did wrong was getting pissed off at her before knowing the circumstances. She has every right to be upset because you got mad at her like that and she's obviously upset because of her grandfather.

No no, it's Sunday morning. As in, Sunday at 1 AM which will later be Sunday at 10 AM. Et cetera.

Oh, but why would you get so mad? It might have been rude. Just grow a pair and get over it. Is that the first time I've used the expression? I think so!

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Back again. Not really asking questions, just rambling on I guess. Still with the same girl from a few pages back. We've been together a lot the last couple of weeks. Couple days ago I asked her what was going on with us, and what would come out of it later. She thought about it for a while, said she isn't ready for a relationship cause she just got out of one, but likes me and wants to be with me. She later came to the conclusion that we were dating. Ok.

Another thing she's told me is that she has a bet with her sister that she can kiss 10 different guys before she gets out of high school. Apparently, I'm 9. This was very awkward for me when she was telling me, cause I didn't know wtf to say, so I just said 'oh' or something.

Another weird thing is that she's always telling me about these other guys she met somewhere. She went to a waterpark, and talked about how she hung out with these 4 other guys there. There's this other guy she met yesterday and was texting the whole time I was with her tonight, who she said was funny and cool. She works at a haunted house, and she said when she was working last night she gave her number out to this guy, but he hasn't texted her back. What do I even say to this? Very weird. Why would she be doing this?

Maybe I'm just a physical attraction thing... That wouldn't be all bad, but still weird that she's talking about all these other guys to me, when she's kissing me and stuff. Grr... That is all.

Well it's been a bit over a month since this, and thought I'd give an update/ask one last time for advice.

Like two weeks ago, she told me she got #10. She was hanging out with friends on a bus back from somewhere, and they dared her to get 10. She said that she just grabbed this guy and pecked him really quick. I was obviously pissed when she told me, but we were in a public place and I didn't want to make a big deal about it. Before we went out to where we were at when she told me, in a text she said something like she 'had something to ask me, or rather something she wanted me to ask her.' I knew she wanted me to officially ask her out, but I wasn't sure yet due to the things quoted. I was going to until she told me that, when I just walked out to my car and drove home after (and went to a friends with beer and COD B-ops  ) I was texting her about it that night, and she kept apologizing and saying how stupid she was etc., which she also did the next couple of times I saw her in public.

Ever since then, she's been hinting to me still that she wants me to ask her and make it official. I've just kind of ignored it, being very put off from what she told me. I've still been hanging out with her and going on dates and stuff though. All of the things I've quoted above have stopped for the most part. I really like everything about her a lot, except for that she kissed that other guy. Even though it was just a peck as she said, it's still cheating, just to fulfill a bet. It's fun hanging out with her, and we have a lot of things in common.

Over the phone today, she told me tomorrow she wants to see me, and that she wants to share her thoughts about me. I'm sure she's going to ask me out, since i've been ignoring all of her requests so far for me to ask her. I'm wondering if I should go through with this or not. Just from reading over what i've typed, it seems the obvious answer is no, but it's hard to explain/type exactly how I feel too, so you don't get the whole picture. Any advice from my tif friends?

Oh, there's also these two other girls. One is my ex. I broke up with her in June-ish, because I just wanted to be friends with her, lost all my feelings. We are still friends and I'll see her every once in a while, but she did NOT lose her feelings for me. She is always trying to get back with me and everything. She publically posted on facebook a video of her with a notebook asking me to go back with her. This was last week. She had 'our song' which was Smile by Uncle Krakker playing, while she flipped through a notebook that said everything she missed/loved about me. At the end, it said I hope BFF turns back into BF. So it's awkward with this situation. The other girl is probly nothing, but she's in one of my university classes. We'll every day during and after class, and last week she asked me out to lunch. We went to a very nice sushi place, and I had a lot of fun. I don't know if it would be a possible relationship or not though, or if it's just friends.

Now that my fingers are dead, I hope to get some advice haha :-)

When it comes to the girl you're dating right now, if she asks you out (asks you to officially be your boyfriend, right?) tell her you don't want to go there yet because of her tendency to err on the cheater side, and you want to make sure things will be serious before you do this. Tell your ex, straight up, that you don't want to get back with her (don't do this publicly, obvi). As for this new acquaintance of yours, if you're more interested in her than the girl you've been involved with so far, you can become more than friends if you flirt hard and hint that you want to, but I would forget about the first one. You don't want to be a hypocrite.

Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can

Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude?

Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you?

Camera guy: still laughing

Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down

Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]!

Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL!

At this point I don't want to wait anymore to decide, I either want to go with it or drop it completely. You're right about the thing in parenthesis.

I've told that to my ex. I didn't really need advice for that part, just kind of threw that in there because the girl I'm dating now and her know each other, just hoping it wouldn't make things any more complicated than they are already. I really have no idea if the new acquaintance is interested at all. I definitely don't want to be seeing both of them at the same time though, 100% against that. I just need to decide on whether or not to officially start a relationship with the girl I'm dating, that's what I need help with really. Thanks for replying so fast :^_^:

I can't really tell you whether your feelings towards her are worth the trouble, sorry.

I don't see how they would create a problem, seems like something that would only happen in a sitcom.

The new acquaintance will be interested if you spark her interest. It's not completely out of your control. If I was you, I'd probably focus on her.

I would probably wait a little while longer, just to see if she "cheats" again, but since you don't want to wait, I say go for it Blake. But if something like that happens again, end it.

Oh I would definitely end it if she did anything even remotely close to it. Ever since I could understand what cheating was, I told myself if anyone ever cheated on me I would get rid of them straight away. I'm surprised at myself that I didn't when she did, guess I like her too much or something.

blake, weren't you one of the 2 guys whp just recently got with his friends ex?

Nope.

2s0cxth.png

Oh, could have sworn it was.

Anyway, I think she's an idiot for kissing another guy yet wanting for you to be her boyfriend.

It could be that it means she feels the relationship isn't serious and she wants it to be, and she thinks that giving it a label will make it so.

It could be that she's worried she will lose you for doing what she did and is trying to rope you in.

It could be a lot of things, but being exclusive with someone like that, in a relationship like that is a bad idea.

What it says to me is that she sees what you have as something casual and so should you.
