March 5, 201313 yr Of course every woman is going to have different tastes in men, and they won't always be honest about it. I personally think that more women prefer tall men, but that's not always the case. I say, don't worry about it buddy, height isn't the only factor that's going to make you attractive to someone.
March 5, 201313 yr Well, I am too tall and it has been a problem sometimes. But for god's sake, how does one tell what girls want to hear?At least I am always honest in everything I say. Half the people that know me hate me for being so frank and honest and most of my friendships start a bit weirdly because of that, but I am known to be trustworthy and a good friend. Yet somehow I don't get along with girls :D 99.9% of the time when people say "people hate me because I'm honest" what they're really saying is "I lack tact and am generally lacking in social graces and awkward in social situations", hope this helps. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
March 5, 201313 yr Well, suppose you could say that. And I am not really hated per se, it was a slight overestimation, but I am not a very pleasureable person to be with if one doesn't know me well. New acquiantances say that only two things that I am good at are whining and criticizing. But my friends know that there is more than that in me... And I must be doing something right since a girl invited me as one of only five guys to her birthday, and there are going to be like 30 chicks ;)Only bad part is that I might not be able to attend it, aince we should start our weeklong car trip across Europe on the same day... So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc
March 5, 201313 yr If I may break the history lesson for a bit... I'd like to discuss the topic of height. I am not very tall, I am 5'3" / 160cm. I am short compared to average men in the area of the world I live in, most women I meet eye to eye with or are taller than me. I've been concerned about my height lately for some reason and I am curious how that would affect the dating scene. Most girls I've talked to say they don't consider it a factor, but I suspect they're saying that along the same lines as "I'd date a guy with good personality, even if he's ugly"...which we know is a lie/loosely-tied truth. Anybody has any experience with this? Does it affect you/someone you know? Women are much more likely to date for personality than men are, except what men generally consider a "good personality" is probably not exactly what women mean. You have to learn to compensate for it sure, but as long as you don't let it hinder your experience in life, it won't matter one bit. But for god's sake, how does one tell what girls want to hear? I could tell girls what they want to hear all day, but I feel disgusted at myself if I do. I keep it real and open, but this often lands me in places that are not inside the girl I'm talking to. March 5, 201313 yr Well, that pic is kinda low quality, so it leaves a bit too much open. She might be crying, for example, but it cannot be seen from that pic.Anyways, if it was a total stranger, someone I saw for the first time ever, no. I don't approach strangers. Strangers approach me ;)Maybe that's why I don't have any luck with girls...But if she was a schoolmate or someone that I have seen before a few times, even if hadn't spoken a single time and didn't even know name, depends on my own mood. And well, can't see her face on that pic... March 5, 201313 yr She looks busy, I wouldn't approach her. She would probably just tell me to screw off or something. Also, tentacles aren't a turn on for me ;)

March 6, 201313 yr If I knew her I would probably approach her to say hi. If not then no, I'd have no reason to approach her.
March 6, 201313 yr ^Terrible attitude. If you approach her and that happens you've wasted ten seconds and maybe bruised your ego slightly. However it may also succeed and you'll never know unless you try. I'm going to sound pretty hypocritical here due to how difficult I find meeting new people, but you're over thinking this. The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.I would laugh, not hate. March 6, 201313 yr No approval, I just wanted to see where we all stand given a blank scenario with no context. I'm experimenting [hide=Spoiler]This was just a random girl that was sitting on a bench instead of going to class. She was poured over her book, reading intensely. I think the sun was effecting her, which is why shes sitting like that. Couldn't tell if the book was for business or pleasure. For the record, she had a nice face, but one with a determined, maybe even frustrated look. I did not aproach because 1) Didn't want to bother her, she seemed real into this book and 2) I was enjoying relaxing in the sun with some with some music in my ears. I was tempted to approach her, but it just didn't seem worth it (and as I have repeated before, if you think about it for more than 3 seconds, you're already done).[/hide] But context could change, and the same experiment could be redone. Is she crying?concentrating on her book?looking to be talked to out in the sun? I agree with you guys so far; you can't know for sure until you try. Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. March 6, 201313 yr Yeah few people even realize this is the second life of this stickied thread. There's a couple hundred pages that got lost during the rollback. The original scripture was a plethora of posters and opinions (and a very naive me haha). Ah, the good ol' days It was actually because of the first version of this thread that I decided to be a Psychology major, much like iGoddessi. I really looked up to her. What ever happened to her? and Rick for that matter. WHY ARE ALL MY AUSSIES DISAPPEARING. Also, RPG, pls stop stalking saddened/alone women. It's creepy. :\ Popoto.~<3
March 6, 201313 yr If she was crying I'd probably ask her if she's alright. If she was face (nose?) deep in a book I probably wouldn't. If she was just sitting there and I had nothing else to do I would probably overthink myself out. Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. March 6, 201313 yr Did anyone else notice that bench has no legs? Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. March 6, 201313 yr She looks busy, I wouldn't approach her. She would probably just tell me to screw off or something. Also, tentacles aren't a turn on for me ;)She's not busy. She's waiting for something. No one goes to a school bench/park bench to study or read (unless they're middle aged). She's just trying to find something to fill her time till she has to do what she needs to do. I'd approach her. Sit down next to her and ask her what she's burying herself in.And go.
