I was on school and talking with my boyfriends and girlfriends about how we met our friends. mines kinda funny actually i was walking down hallway and i dropped my pencil they boy come up and pick it up for me now we are friend

I met my bestfriend in 9th grade almost three years ago. He got switched into my classroom, and when he entered the door I had this really strange feeling about him. In my mind, I just knew that something was up. It was like destiny was foreshadowing our future friendship.

I met my 2 best friends in 6th grade on the first day of school at lunch, and at first I didn't really like them at all. But over time, either I became more like them or they became more like me, and now we are like the trio of nerds among our nerd classmates (generally my closest 11 or so classmates are nerds, but in a cool way :XD: )

I found that 'quite' hilarious, in all honesty.

I met my friend on the first day of kindergarten. I was like, "Hi, my name is Liz, what's yours?", and she was like "I'm *name*! :D" and then we were instantly friends.

 

 

 

IT WAS AWESOME.

I met my friends at school. I just asked them if they wanted to play some soccer, now we're still friends to date.

I met my best friend on a bus to school. At first, she was just a person I took the bus with but over the years she's now my little 'pet'.

I meet people through stabbings. Great networking tool, that.

I'm just gonna take a wild stab in the dark here and predict that every single person will have met the majority of their friends at school. Just a hunch. :roll:

In sixth grade, I went to get my backpack and hang it up on this hook, and this rather stout kid with a really distinct English accent walked up to me and said, "Here's your backpack." I thought it was kind of weird at that time, and then my teacher encouraged me to make friends with him, since he didn't have many. So I did, and we are best friends, now.

School, through other friends, festivals, pubs, on my way home from the pub.

 

 

 

I've been told one particular pub story is quite amusing. I was sitting with a group of friends (actually friends of a friend) at this rock pub we almost always go to, it was almost closing time so I was quite plastered. I noticed a guy whom I recognised, standing beside the table in front of ours. Turns out it was my old music teacher from high school. So I got up and went and said hello, and he recognised me immediately. We started talking about music and guitars etc. Then this drunk-as-a-skunk dude beside us stared at me for a while and then yelled, "Malcolm Young!!", I proceeded to basically tell him that AC/DC is to rock music what "Lite" is to beer. He got up, rolled up his sleeve and showed me this big AC/DC tattoo on his arm. I figured he would beat the crap out of me now (he's a few years older than me and pretty muscular). Instead he just laughed and asked me what bands I liked, and when I told him he proceeded to laugh at me for a few minutes solid, saying I'm in the wrong century.

 

 

 

Then the pub closed so I followed his group to go grab something to eat. And we pretty much ended up bashing eachothers' musical tastes for an hour or two. I exchanged numbers with some of them and they paid for my taxi home (we were going the same way). That was month's ago and we're pretty good friends now. Anders (the AC/DC fanatic) has fixed me some free tickets to concerts and stuff (and a festival I ended up not going to), so it's pretty sweet. :P

 

 

 

I've told this story so many times to his friends now, because Anders didn't remember much from it afterwards. He was certain one of his friends had sent me to go harass him at the pub.

Making friends was a lot easier when we were kids. It was all like: "Hey, do you like juice?", "Ya", "Me too, let's be friends", "What's your favorite?", "Grape juice", "Mine too!!! We are best friends!!!"

that's what i tried to tell my mother when she asked why my little sister has more friends than me :D

If you're going to ask someone to learn English then at least learn to use grammar and correct spelling yourself or you just look like an idiot. :lol:

 

 

 

I've pretty much met all my friends through school or other friends, never really made random friends. There is 1 guy who I've been in school with for the last 5 years, we're not best friends but we're good mates, we've done some pretty crazy [cabbage] together :lol:

 

 

 

All of my friends now are a pretty random group, we all live about 5 miles from each other at most and the whole group goes to 6 different schools in total, could even be 7. We're all a group of friends of friends kinda thing who became good friends. Pretty cool group as well, we don't call ourselves the cool group or anything, we just hang out and act as we do, much better than trying to fit in with the "popular" group where you have to act different, the "popular" group doesn't get up to much anyway :lol: (been there, hung out with that)

Meh. I guess my best friends I met at church. We grew up together... :|

 

As for my school friends, I met them at school. What a surprise. I have 8 friends that I consider to be really good friends, and we're all similar enough. Cliques formed in middle school, we ended up at the same lunch table, became friends, play games together all the time, etc. :geek:

 

I've got a handful of other friends though, no idea how we became friends. I guess it was back in kindergarten when everyone liked everyone. Though I have a feeling it has something to do with them respecting my intelligence and me respecting their athletic skill.

School, most of which in classes, activities or in my spare time. It usually starts by saying "Hi". A few girls I've gotten to know by going over to their houses (to play video games \ ). I've met some people in summer camps. And last but certainly not least: Clubs/bars/parties.

 

 

 

I don't have many shocking stories, most of these people I just made the effort and ended up getting to know them however some of the guys/girls at school are people with whom I've been in some vicious verbal confrontations before.

 

 

 

Oh yeah and there is no real cliques demographic. I can be friends with anyone reguardless of interest. And also I never really became social till two years ago. Before then I had very few friends.
