Kitkat999333
I think with really big teams, the sort of numbers that come on certain events. Drops would'nt be that much. Maybe it should be just LS not CS. But meh id love to tank for a big bandos or zammy team rather than my normal small team:D ~kitkat999333~ ~Kitkat999333~

Soma2035
[hide=Long Quote]ill go if there is a level restriction. i dont want to be going to dks with a bunch of ppl with like 70 range, 60 mage and crap melee stats that dont do any damage but get the split. :wall: Nobody under 110 cb and you got a deal. Jackal_55 i don't want cs cos with too many people a potentially valuble drops will be devided soo many time that it will not be worthwhile to come... My general thoughts so far on this poll are as follows: I love the enthusiasm from the majority of the people posting, but posts such as above are NOT the reason why we would do a monster hunting event. We would not be in it for profit, we are always just in it for the fun. We won't restrict anyone from coming to our events, unless of course it's a p2p event and you're f2p, then we can't do anything about that. Whereas drops are nice, yes, they are not the important part of any potential monster hunting event. The important aspect of the event is to, and has always been, to have fun. We don't mind if you complain, but i'm sure that the other team members and i would rather you didn't try to drag the event down with your complaints, rather you can pm any of us with suggestions how to make the event better after, or even during the event itself. sorry but what is TET? :?: :?: TET stands for Tipit Events Team. We schedule weekly events at times friendly to almost everyone in the world. We also have a TETau branch, which does events geared towards a smaller audience and is more friendly time wise to the aussies.[/hide] I think you're missing the point too slightly. If you're looking for something "just for fun", most people would not see monster hunting that way. Personally, I find more fun when my trips are at the peak of efficiency, or when we found a new technique that proves ridiculously effective. Most of those that I know find it fun because of the potential riches. There are plenty of people who say they do it just for fun, but they don't. The simple test is, would they still do it if they got none of the drops? Most of them would say no. Honestly, you should reword the poll, make it a hypothetical question wondering if they'd still want to be present if there were NO drops. I doubt many people would prefer going monster hunting over the other fun events you have hosted in the past if you didn't factor drops. There are also problems that arise from going to these places with a whole group of newbs, AKA, people who are saying "Sounds great, I've never been there before, now's a good time to learn." There seem to be plenty of those. However, it is my experience that either new people will bring low amounts of stuff, thus not really helping at all, or bring plenty of expensive gear, die, and completely freak out. Both of these can get annoying. Regarding worlds, Bandos is about as crowded as it possibly could be, and probably your first choice for a GWD event. It would be near impossible for you to start on schedule without crashing a world, and I guarantee you at least one of the people present will request to crash a world just to save time. I have been on mass GWD events before, the last one having ~15 people at the start. However, every one of them was a competent, experienced monster hunter and contributed to the kills. I can't even imagine the room having two to three times that many, with over half being people there for the first time, or with sub par equipment and skills. I voted that I wouldn't attend because of this. I don't feel comfortable being there with that many people who seem to be there for no reason asides from a share of the money. I don't mind splitting them a share since at most bosses you'd go for, the splits are already quite small, but I don't like the fact that the event is basically "Hey if you can survive in the room with 3 items, come get some free money." That, and the actual entertainment of the event has been turned down for me just by bringing so many weaker or inexperienced players. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! smobo
You would have to put some kind of restriction on it though. I know its for fun, but you wouldn't want some lv 50 who can barely wear rune follow us into dk to get splatted. All the events would (hopefully) have the requirements so you could actually function with the team somewhat, and have the financial requirements to be able to afford the equipment and consumables for the event. It would be a nice opportunity for the weaker people of us, ((who might even be a few lvs short to go with a regular team)) to tag along and see what the bigger people do. Not to mention the fact there will be a dozen or so (hopefully myself included) higher lv people there to show them how its done, and to bless their graves should they screw up. It would also be fun to have some events that where pure silly like killing bandos only with rubber chickens/flowers. But then again, its also fun being a part of a 110+, experienced, geared out killing machine that just pretty much sit there chatting while effortlessly killing whatever they are killing. But yeah, either way, I am an experienced monster hunter at most bosses, and i would love to take part in almost any kind of monster killing event. krugtheorc
ok, this is good for p2p, but what about f2p. Reading some of the responses, this would be a greater idea seeming it is safer and the drops arn't as breaking as a sara hilt or something like that. this is just an idea, but what about putting in a f2p event in the stronghold of player safety. That way, there is only a few different monsters that have average drops that most people would have anyway. The low levels could fight the drones and workers and not feel excluded like with a gwd run where they would get immeadeately squished with their equipment. not to mention the dungeon is big enough that there could be a hundred people and everyone could still attack and have fun. of course this is just an example, there's also places like the stronghold of security, faldor castle, maybe even renevant hunts if there's that many crazy people  but a gwd or a kq run might be a bit elitest for most players, even if they are members. of course don't take into consideration that i'm a f2p  ah well, my opinion still counts, right? ... right... edit: and that will teach me to read the tet of the week before posting #-o It is not the great who are strong, but the strong who are great--Albel Nox

davidium
it will be really chaotic running into dk with a whole bunch of ppl (including noobs =P) can just imagine having to pray protect mage non-stop, running away from rex and eating like mad to prevent supreme from killing me >.> i've no doubt that many lives will be sacrificed lol...but of course i'll go to see how many die  maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it

Soma, weren't you one of the people that Leesters and Myself lead on a TET event about 2 years ago to the Dagannoth Kings? OT: The best, and most fun and effciant way would to have 2-3 good partners at the monsters that are being killed go down with about 5-10 people, if they have no idea what they are doing. This worked 2 years ago, why wouldn't it be able to now? The leaders just need to be patient, and willing to run out and take on all three kings if need be, simple statement, hard to do; or at least used to be ;) . Besides, who would give up getting a picture like this of their best friend?? Nabbagad
Yeah thats a good point Trojann. There could be plenty of ways to make everyone happy. There could be one massive group, or even just a meeting place where you can form your own small groups and find a world, or both ;) We're just going to look at everyone's suggestions and do what sounds best for the majority of people interested in the monster hunting events :) [spoiler=My 99s (7)]9,638th to 99 Fletching ~ 29th January 2007 737th to 99 Hunter ~ 2nd July 2007910th to 99 Agility ~ 28th January 200859,467th to 99 Defence ~ 23rd December 200992,762nd to 99 Hitpoints ~ 26th June 2010102,704th to 99 Attack ~ 29th June 2010144,091st to 99 Strength ~ 29th June 2010
