August 23, 200817 yr How2, you can't go wrong with Van Halen. :D Guessing you like Atreyu and Slipknot I think you'd like Mushroomhead to (Although they are the sworn enemies of Slipknot :P ). If not go for something totally diffirent; Look for "Turmion Katilot" and the song "Teurastaja". A good finnish metal band. ;>
August 23, 200817 yr Um. Machinae Supremacy. Alternative Metal... or maybe Alternative Rock... sounds good, though. , probably my favourite song of their's. Official Site, lots of free downloads. Wiki. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
August 27, 200817 yr http://www.last.fm/user/blushenka Please tell me something I never heard of before. When it comes to music lately, I'm as dry as a camel in Rub al Khali. "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."
August 27, 200817 yr This is for blushenka, but also teh_langzor, as blu didn't recommend anything to him. Firstly, you should listen to . A really good Math Rock band that uses obscure melodies, schizophrenic drum beats, and insane time signatures, and is just... awesome. Hold Your Horse Is is probably their best. Also check out . Shostakovich was a 20th Century Russian composer. He has a huge amount of works, but his string quartets, of which there are 16, are my favourites. Check out his 3rd and 8th String Quartets. Cool.
August 27, 200817 yr You're into metal right? If you haven't tried Opeth yet, do so \ You probably wont know 3 Inches of Blood and I consider them to be a great metal band. Catchy melodies and some ace riffs. The falsetto vocalist annoys most people but I quite like his style. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JElepyWMsM8 Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
August 27, 200817 yr Ragen, you like Opeth so im going to recommend a band called Cult of Luna to you, because they have a similar style to Opeth. Can I have some Death Metal... the heaviest, fastest, brutalest band you can find!!! No poser garbage, please!!! My Last.FmLeekSpinner!!!Random Furry Dance!!!Proud to hate life, since not too long ago!!!
August 27, 200817 yr If you're into Death Metal, I'm guessing you already know about Nile and Death. If not, they are a good place to start. For more experience Death Metaller's, At the Gates - The Red in the Sky is Ours is a great album. Necrophagist are really good tech death. Behemoth are pretty easy to get into and have some great songs. I'm a fan of Vader, especially the album 'The Ultimate Incarnation'. Out of those, I'd say the heaviest is Behemoth. Could someone recommend me a really good indie or rock band please? Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
August 27, 200817 yr . Best two albums are Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? and The Sunlandic Twins. Other bands you could check out that I won't give a link to are The Arcade Fire, Band of Horses, Clinic, and Thee More Shallows. Cool.

I might go listen to some At the Gates, because ive never really listened to them. About Necrophagist though, they are too technical. My favourite tech Death bands are something more like Suffocation or Psycroptic. Well, you had a good try. Well, Intriguing old bean... *looks at WMP library...* You like Blackened Grindcore, which would lead me to believe you would like both Black Metal and GrindGore... So im going to recommend something completely different!!! Try listening to Electric Wizard, a Stoner Metal band. Id say anything from the album Dopethrone. For me, seems as though no one can suggest a Death Metal band I havent heard of, then Id like some Thrash!!! All the Thrash bands I have heard of: Anthrax, Blo. Torch, Dark Angel, Death Angel, Destruction, Evile, Exodus, Flotsam and Jetsam, Gama Bomb, Hyades, Kreator, Lawnmower Deth, Mastery, Megadeth, Metallica, Municipal Waste, Nailbomb, Napalm Death, Nuclear Assault, One Man Army and the Undead Quartet, Pantera, Raging Speedhorn, Rumplestiltskin Grinder, Sacred Reich, Sadus, Sanctity, Slayer, Sodom, SSS, Stormtroopers of Death, Suicidal Tendencies, Tankard, Testament, Venom, Vio-lence and Vovoid. If anyone can recommend me a Thrash Band I havent heard of then they get a cookie!!! (Poser garbage like Bullet for my Valentine does not count) If not then skip me. My Last.FmLeekSpinner!!!Random Furry Dance!!!Proud to hate life, since not too long ago!!!
August 28, 200817 yr violator, necropsya and transmetal EDIT: necropsya is thrash/death tbh EDIT2: bestial possession too, the best peruvian thrash metal you can find :P Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.
August 28, 200817 yr I have no idea what the above bands are like although id take a random hit in the dark and say GallHammer. Someone feel free to recomend another band plus I dont even listen to the band I said. Any one got a band. Either Drum and Base, Electronia, Experimental or even better a mix of all. Please click below to help with my ICT A Level, for which I have to monitor my website for 8 weeks, hits and feedback welcome. http://www.chauncystweb.co.uk/sm Feedback page now up and working.
August 28, 200817 yr Tangerine Dream or maybe Celtic Frost's Into The Pandemonium Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.
August 28, 200817 yr Man, why does everybody love metal so much? I find it only useful for building things. Silliness aside, I SHALL LIGHTEN THY TASTES. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
August 28, 200817 yr Pan.Thy.Monium may be the band for you, Adio Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.

Same for Cavalera), Sarco[bleep]o (some albums), Sextrash, Torture squad. And Krisiun and Death for death metal \ ? You like stoner to? Tried out Acid bath, Bongzilla and Weedeater out yet? -Renate : . ;>
August 28, 200817 yr A good-looking girl. Who likes videogames. And interwebs. And musics. If you can bake cookies, I will marry you. Right now. And it will be a fancy wedding band. I was thinking Soundgarden. ([garden tool] [garden tool] [garden tool], sneaky huh?) Seriously though, let's get married. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
August 28, 200817 yr You're either very desperate or very sarcastic. May I suggest some 'Fell Far Behind'? Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. PSA: SaqPrets is an Estonian Dude Steam: NippleBeardTM Origin: Brand_New_iPwn
August 28, 200817 yr A good-looking girl. Who likes videogames. And interwebs. And musics. Save that crap for the real life pictures thread.. And at Cyco, thanks for the recommendation man. I've never even heard of Stoner Metal (or is it something like Sludge?), so I'll definitely check them out. As for RpgGamer, I really don't know what you like. However, as someone else said, this thread is becoming overloaded with Metal, so I'll recommend you Madvillain. Really amazing Hip-Hop, with MF Doom as the MC and Madlib as producer. Madvillainy is easily my favourite Hip-Hop album of all time. Even if you don't like Hip-Hop, I'd seriously recommend checking them out. Even my brother, who is steadfast Indie fan and doesn't like any other Hip-Hop likes these guys. Cool.
August 28, 200817 yr For Intriguing I would say, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. http://www.last.fm/music/Bonnie+%27Prince%27+Billy He's been making music since the early nineties, but under different names. So, here is what I can recommend: Palace Music - Viva Last Blues Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I see a Darkness Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - the Letting Go What a genius he is. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

Look for The lordz of Brooklyn (Saturday night fever). Very raw. -Renate (And thanks for the suggestion Lenticular, very chill :) ) ;>

These guys mentored my band during a 6 week workshop and they are awesome. http://www.myspace.com/middlemanpop Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
