runescape love?

Featured Replies

"RuneScape Love" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I hate going to Lumbridge and hearing all of the people saying "Looking for BF/GF." It can be unsafe if they take it too far, and it's pointless. An item made out of pixels isn't worth the risk. Some "gift" from a "BF/GF" is not important. If someone is looking for love online like that, they ought to go seek help. They shouldn't be sitting in front of the computer, and they shouldn't consider that "feelings."

Alright, understandable. Now how do you feel about people who were just RS friends at first and realized how compatible they were and then they fall in love?

Excuse me, but blind people can hear their companions, and deaf people can see them. My opinion is just that if you don't know a person, their personality, for real, how do you know that you are truly in love with them until you first meet. Even the blind, or deaf meet their significant other before they know they're truly in love.

What would you call elementary school children? Getting girlfriends but never giving them attention or play marrage. Children think its love when they have some sort of like to someone; kinda like a first crush. "OMG I'm so in looooove!" Then when he gets rejected, "OMG I'm never falling in love again." They'll (hopefully) grow out of it. What also makes the matter worse is that kids are doing older things younger. Its cool to have a girlfriend, and some go too far. Others, just want to be cool and get a girlfriend. In a game. They'll (hopefully) grow out of it. But unfortunately until then we're going to suffer with thier spam. #-o

What drives people?

I reckon theres a few different reasons

-To get free stuff

-To maybe gain confindence irl?

- Because they're strange and want to make love over Runescape

- Fun, something to do, someone to talk to.

- For the laughs :P

Err, I still find it weird though.

Doomy edit: I like sheep

they do it to beg them for money. and they also do it because they want to show off to their friends. heres a typical conversation with two 8 year olds irl

That is pretty typical...

if A boyfriend and girlfriend are together IRL, why not in game? Same with husbands and wifes.

but random people asking random people are just begging/asking for attention.

Even if it is against rule 1, just ignore all solicitation you see. Any reply you give the person, gives them what they wanted. Attention.

They do it because they fail IRL?

That's what I'm thinking.

I think it's ok if the person is your IRL gf/bf, but dating them online without even knowing them is pathetic. People may do it just for the attention, maybe for the potential 30k they might get :P, or maybe just because they can't score a spouse IRL.

Online dating=EPIC failure.

I can give a pretty harsh explanation, but I will try to tone it down as much as I can, so Tip.it stays a friendly community :D

Anyways, they do it because they are VERY VERY young and shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. As you know, it's mostly guys who do this, if not ONLY guys in hope of getting it on VIA a Instant Messenger webchat or some other sort. Or it's a child predator as a girl  or some guy playing as a girl for free stuff. Im just so happy you can report it now!

Hell yeah I do. Whats your msn?

That's how it all starts.

Next he's going to ask you what flavor of candy you enjoy and whats your favorite color van.

*sigh* those idiots on f2p lumbridge have given this a bad stereotype...

myself, i met my current gf through runescape and we couldn't be happier.

my friend got me to join his new clan which is where i met her, we became good friends over the months and i soon developed feelings for her, i soon told her how i felt and she told me she feels the same way.

so yeah, you may find it creepy or unnatural thanks to the bad steryotype, but the truth is that it can happen by accident, yet, it can be the best thing you have ever had happen to you.

judge me all you want, I JUST DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK.

That's why you're on the TZDF blackdawn. Even your balls can tear zombies to shreds.
Imo i'll just say what most people think, it's pathetic. I really /facepalm when i see people in Runescape saying 'i love you' and stuff, it's ridiclious.
Even when I say it to Suzi?... who 9 times out fo 10 is sat next to me irl too?

The game.

When I hear or see the words "Runescape" and "love" used together in this context, I want to cry. Then laugh. Then beat the [cabbage] out of the idiots who actually do this sort of thing.

Hehe, this is like Jagex telling half of Runescape players that they're [developmentally delayed]. Sort of. That's how I interpreted it. :P

Runescape is why I support abortion.

If you think that true love will come out from 2 people meeting online through a pixelated game then honestly something must be very wrong with you :wall:

Generally that applies to most people, but for some exceptions above...

Online threats do not make you cool. Reason being? It's online. Kind of funny how you frown upon love on the internet, yet you make threats on the internet.

It wasn't a threat, it was just how I feel about the situation.

Either way, my point still stands. They're parallel. They fail at love in real life, so they do it on the net which is "wrong". You fail at bullying in real life, so you do it on the net which is "wrong".
