danelennon
Some what off-topic, but I was wondering if it is an offense to refer someone to tip-it. I don't, but at times would like to. Seeing as how it is such a helpful site for the game. I mean honestly, tip-iters almost have an unfair advantage over players who do not know about fan sites for the game. I usually just tell people to Google Runescape fan site though. But this is not the only one, but usually comes up first, at leas for me. But surely mentioning Google is against the rules as well! :o

Harakiri
This is an interesting topic. I see that you got reported for saying youtube...and thats because of some dirtbag who wants to be a mod...yet, from your ironic reply, I do think that you have no room to talk, I don't care what happened, its not our fault so don't yell at us. I don't know what to say other than you need to reply to customer support. That way, they will see what happened and alleviate the punishment, otherwise, your gonna end up having to live with it...don't complain to us, fix the problem by complaining to Jagex customer support. doomy
There's nothing I hate more then wannabe mods. I propose a witch hunt. I so agree. Yup be careful or the Youtube thing, and be wary about your friends as well *cough friends who report you after asking if you had any vids* -Happened to me...Of course I didn't report him for misuse od customer suppost, I didn't know he'd reported me.. (only had known him for like 5 days) Doomy edit: I like sheep
fenrir321
There's nothing I hate more then wannabe mods. I propose a witch hunt. 1) How can it be a witch hunt unless they're witches? Of course witch can be a complete and total [cabbage], so I guess it could work. 2) How can it be a witch hunt unless they're female? . I'm pretty sure that any wanna-be mod is male because only guys care about making their ego enlarged. And if I'm wrong, I'll go kill myself in bounty hunter. Maybe we can use a pseudo-spammer under a kebbit trap to lure in some wanna-be mods and then have a feast? I bet they require 109 hunting to catch them though -.-
Sir_Sibz
OMG sometimes I wish one could unleash supersaiyan powers out of great stress and go pvp on people like that WBM! But I digress... Since you can't appeal it, might as well forgive and learn. Although revenge would be more fun. : And for fun, I made a picture for you! \ You own! Sam
Well it isn't a reportable offence. Well I suppose that's what you get with an auto response machine. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

Bauke
Surely, you must see where you were in the wrong here. Regardless of how it's passed back and forth in banter, advertising just ain't allowed. The point is, it isn't advertising if you look at the context (which Jagex should've done) and YouTube is allowed to be mentioned according to Jagex. Allthough this whole case just makes me cry about Jagex' hypocrisy. How extremely sad to mute people for this. Ravenkana
Sigh... This is Jagex's greatest flaw: The worst customer support outside of China and the IRS. The guy got punished for saying something that Jagex said he could say and, instead of reading the whole conversation, they just decided he was in the wrong. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? flitwick2
I got permanently banned for saying the word "gay". I do not think that requires much of an explanation.
Forerunner
Jees people will do anything to kiss up to Jagex, a silver crown isn't very great (unless its a silver party hat :D ). This guy was swearing his head off at me once & I called him noob a couple of times (maybe 30..). He reported me & I got the black mark, even though half of our conversation were his cusses. Do Jagex even review the conversations anymore? Or do they use some sort of macro to catch the offendor? :x Only fear God,Know the weapons of the weak,The weakness of the hard. harper128
Forerunner, you didn't get THE black mark, you got A black mark. And, if you called him a noob 30 times, especially if it was in rapid succession, it would be spamming the chatbox, which is reportable under rule 1, offensive language. So, did you talk to this person later to see if they too received a black mark for offensive language?
reaper88888
I got permanently banned for saying the word "gay". I do not think that requires much of an explanation. So... You got banned for saying 'gay'. That implies that the people at JaGEx are forbidding us from talking about being very lighthearted and happy. Therefore, they do not want us to be happy. The entire point of Runescape is to make us unhappy! Huzzah! I think that the rumors about an auto-respond program as CS department may actually be true.. whenever I mention it anywhere near mods of any sort, I get the automatic, multiple line response denying that my statement was true. That makes me suspect them even more... There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

FairiesWearBoots
I'm surprised jagex hasn't hiked up the filter list with all the changes like ge and equal trade. It would be nice if they had some pleasant filtering though, replacing the "****" with something more lucrative.

iLootChests
Appeal the offense. In your message state that the person who reported you should be banned for encouraging others to break the rules. Also, Jagex uses Youtube as their way of broadcasting the new HD client. And then at the end of the message at a nice little "Jagex's costumer support sucks".yah they got rid of the appeal on toppic: meh first offence was for counting and i got muted for 24 hours now tell me thts not fair and i was at a drop party! Ravenkana
Lol.What is your beef? Every time I see your posts, all I see are emoticons or a internet acronym. No substance, no point. It annoys me to no end and I can no longer bite my tongue. With Jagex's poor customer support, automated messaging, and strict censor and vague instructions, this sort of stuff happens shockingly often. As one guy said, he was banned, permanently, for uttering the word gay. This either means that 1. Jagex is homophobic or 2. Jagex does not wish anyone to be happy, gleeful, or joyful while playing Runescape. Either way, it's pretty sad. Ezz
RS is starting to remind me of kinder garden, "telling on" other players just for the heck of it #-o Besides, just saying YouTube shouldn't be an offence, Jagex said so themselves on the RSOF. [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.
