What are you on about :lol:Aren't the creators writing a "Neutral code" which they can slightly change for each console for the script to work, it would take way too much time for them to write a different code for each console, get what I mean? (Or at least very similar) So it comes down to the games. I personally think the 360 currently has better games, but with all the Sony showed at E3, that could change soon. So just take a look at the libraries for both, while keeping in mind that the PS3 can play Blu-ray, which will be a huge plus in a few years. Or you can think about what your friends have. That's why I got a Wii, I could've gotten a 360 if I wanted to, but since most of my friends have Wiis, I got one. Why? To practice games we'd be playing together, so I wouldn't have to teach them controls when they come to my house, so we can play together online. I'm sorry, but I have 2 things against this: A) I never experience any downtime or cheaters on PSN, games are only slow when the host has a bad connection. B) Cheat programs are impossible, because the Playstation OS is closed. No-one could load up or install any codecs without it being allowed by sony. PS3 owners are so excited because Bioshock is coming out on October with a couple of "special Trophies" they should be, it's a good game. one of the best games out actually, lots of GOTY awards for 2007 though you seem to imply that bioshock is the only thing ps3 owners have to look foward to not sure where you got that it was the most anticipated game but it really isn't. i'd say most anticipated would be Little Big Planet also coming in october ps online store is trash compared to xbl marketplace. then again there is nothing "great" in those that one either, it's just better than the ps one. geometry wars/pixel junk are decent casual games online browser? you can also play videos from youtube and other stream sites, not that i use it much but being able to is something games aren't a big factor here, or they shouldn't be unless there is a series you really want to play People keep saying 360 has alot more games which it does have a bit more, however when talking about games actually worth your time, they have a fairly equal amount. just because you have more games doesn't mean they are better games seriously after gears, mass effect, lol halo maybe, is there really an exclusive that would have enough of an impact on you to pick that system over another? ps3 has resistance, mgs, uncharted etc games that as just as good as 360's top games blu ray, unless you already have a hd tv expect to shell out about a thousand dollars to actually get the full 1080p resolution and hd experience. if you don't then don't make this a reason to pick one over the other 360 is also getting a bit of timed exclusives, release on the ps3 at a later date. microsoft seems to like to pay companies for those advantages, that and they pay for exclusive dlc on a few games What? Anatole Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 well really it depends on u, both have pros and cons- for graphics both are equil- blueray only gives 2 extra lines so it really dosnt actually make the picture better, 360 has more games, but more expencive in the long run if u are an online gamer... the ps3 has a very sad online experence- i actually like both- but for overall game play 360, for a more reliable system ps3- i own both and cant really complane about eather- sorry that probally didnt help ur dession at all (and yes i know i cant spell) (Yes I Know I Cant Spell) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PSN is definately not as good as Xbox live, but its free and it gets the job done. The online play is just as smooth as Live. The only real difference in online play is there are less options for interacting with freinds. Also not everyone has a headset, though you might see this as good or bad. The marketplace is definately not as good though, but there is some good content to be found. PS3 actually ends up cheaper now; the base unit is £300, but then you have to factor in the cost of live for the next few years or whenever the next gen of consoles come out. Also your getting a blueray player, but until they replace dvds its not that great. That said now that the format war is over Blue rays are finally starting to come down in price. If your going to get one wait a while, because Sony is bringing out an 80Gb model soon for the same price as the 40GB, though its not too difficult to install your own hard drive. The only decent exclusive i can think of coming out for PS3 is Final Fantasy, oh wait. :oops: I dunno where you live, but in UK, PS3 is still about £100 more than a 360. Yea Sony may be bringing out an 80GB model, but seriously who needs it, i have the 20GB 360 and IM only using 7GB atm and im pretty sure a 360 will contain much more infomation/memory than a PS3, (Skins, gamertag, gamer profile, free demos etc). Left 4 dead, useless to play Fps games on a console in my opinion (I would say the same about it if it was a PS3 exclusive) and isn't it coming out on the PC? And Time crisis (With a lightgun?!) ? Also the whole Disney being all about blue-ray basically means that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a ps3 exclusive as well, but there is no release date on god of war and I don't think kingdom hearts 3 has even been announced. So basically the 360 is still looking a lot stronger in my opinion. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person. I just wish developers would stop being lazy and make a game that actually makes full use of the ps3's power, by which I mean a game that could actually make the ps3 catch on fire. Also, from what I've heard there is a problem with wireless internet and the ps3 where in instances data packets have been dropped by the router/receiver, causing a temporarily crippling disk read error, which is only fixed by an update that happens once a month. I don't know how it happens, I'm not an IT, I just know a ps3 owner who had it happen. And by no means am I a Microsoft fan boy.Seeing as they fail 8/10. And as to the comment about not needing 80 gigs, there are some people who like to put non game related material on their consoles hard drive to take space off of their computers. Which is why I'll probably get an elite when I buy a new 360, sold my old one to get a ds, just to clear off my computer.
