Giordano
Rob, your posts make me think of Yanni's Dare to Dream album. Now, the score is like, 1 trillion - 3. I don't throw Yanni compliments around lightly. EDIT: Omar, do you want some compliments, too? :^_^:Where's mine? Our score is 1-0 between us... "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Duff
Duff, when you die, you'll have 72 Emma Watsons waiting for you in the afterlife. Is the score even now?I only need one Emma Watson waiting for me in the afterlife. -romantic smirk- We are even, though. Rob, your posts make me think of Yanni's Dare to Dream album. Guy
I'm ashamed to say that the 'London youth' applies to me too. The riots are appalling, unwarranted and downright ridiculous. I'm sure a vast majority of the rioters have no idea what sparked the initial riots, as they are too thick to understand, and merely want free stuff. Guest Rob
This is weird. On windows, my speakers on my laptop are terrible quality. On Ubuntu, I just noticed they work really well. Does the software (OS I'm using, mainly) affect the sound of speakers? I imagined it would only be hardware.

IE I think iTunes makes music quieter. RIP TET "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche

i_love_burritos
Share market tumble, London riots, Norway Massacre, 2 wars in the middle east, America's debt crisis, crumbling dictatorships in Syria, egypt etc - has the whole world gone crazy ? Seems like it these days. On the plus side it's 7:10 here in the morning, I woke up at 6:50 instead of 6AM like every other week day, [bleep] everything about 8AM lectures. Seems like it these days.Nah, it's just another day in the life of earth. Nothing out of the norm here. Actually nah, if the earth were to form a fissure, and ever single plate that we were sitting on were to just slide in, to that hot hot core, destroying everything on the surface of the earth, it would be a return to normality. We've only been here for a blink of an eye. If we just happened to vanish, the earth would go back to the way it was initially. So in essence, destroying ourselves is the only real way to restore "normality".
WildxYak
The London riots are apparently moving to down the road from me (Croydon) and gotta admit, even though I can't see anything happening yet, it's a lil scary to think a molotov could come crashing through the window for no reason. Not gonna lie, I was on holiday when it kicked off so I don't really know why it's all happening... Probably like most of the mugs that are doing it.To all those in and around the London area, stay safe! 99: Agility 28/12/14|Thieving 20/03/

Those guys in Ealing are really not too far from me, I'm not even in the country so it's even more worrying. It infuriates me that no one knows why they're doing it and they're just doing it for the hell of. Hell, the kids don't know what they're doing, what the [bleep] do their parents think they're doing? There is a whole lack of police presence, there needs to be a massive show of force. At the moment London is a shambles, people are doing whatever they want with no police presence. The whole things is a monumental disgrace. RIP TET "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche

The whole things is a monumental disgrace. The police either need other forces backing them up or getting the army in. There is simply not enough police in large enough numbers to scare them off. I also second the idea of getting waterguns back from Ireland, bastards will stop putting everything on fire then.

Riku3220
I have respect for the crowd of Turkish business owners who were beating back rioters with sticks.I've realized, riots like the Vancouver riot and what's happening now in England, that won't happen in modern America. Simply because a third of those shopkeepers would have guns and be willing to blow you away for breaking their windows.AMERICA Also maybe because our cops would be on the scene so fast it'd stop before it began. It is sad to see a bunch of hooligans "rioting" for no reason whatsoever though. It's just creating chaos for the sake of creating chaos...
