Not to mention I only had an hour between when I was invited and when I got picked up. Nearly every time I've gone somewhere it's only because people are allowed to invite their significant other. I usually prefer drinking with my friends as we usually end up sitting around and talking. If we drink too much we do that the next morning.

Also, Lack of invite displeases me.

 

No invite is not the end of the world. Until you stop bemoaning your situation about your social life, you won't have what you seek.

Rode my bicycle to town today and as I left it locked up, I completely forgot about the camera on it. Returned later and found that no-one had stolen it :thumbsup:

 

Now I'm trying to awkwardly tell my brother's friend, who is incidentally my classmate, that I cannot come in tomorrow on my day off to help him on some work. I gave him access to my personal VLE and I've risked plagiarism claims as one teacher spotted him blatantly copying my work. I do want to help him but not enough to come into college when I could be getting [kitty].

First proper day off in a while... went to the beach with the gf, had lunch and then retreated as the rain appeared. Now I'm having a thai green curry with the family, before probably no lifing all evening on a game since I've not had that pleasure in a while.

Winter is back. Not only is it snowing, but its cold enough that I can wear my winter coat now. Forgot how much I don't care for the freeze and thaw cycle as it applies to my face (cold wind).

Maybe I'll head back down to the longboard shop to see if they have any new drop through decks in stock. It's kinda weird, though, cause it's a really small store, and I'm the only one in there most times (and I've been there the past two weeks in a row). Kinda awkward.

Err, it actually means friends (I think) but whatever. Maybe it only applies if you call your friends your bro's?

(While I'm at it, I need to get 'brother from another mother' and 'sister from a different mister' out of my system because there is never a good time to say those in a real conversation)

 

Its a silly rule anyway. Spend some time with your girlfriend. As long as you still spend some quality time with your friends, and are available to help at least some of the time, I doubt they'll mind to much.

 

 

And today I discovered that my radiator was mostly full of water, and I got it flowing today. After 2 winters with no heat in my room, the heat is back on. It will need careful managing though lest I accidently turn my room into the sahara come morning.

@Randox: I've had quite a few of my best friends respond when I jokingly say "Dude, what happened to bros before [garden tools]?" that it is rarely bros before [garden tools]. Apparently most of the time it's your girlfriend over your guy friends. :\

I find it pretty interesting (from a sociology standpoint) that a man is more comfortable and in-tune with a girlfriend of a year than a best bud for 10 years.

Tis good. Saw snow and walked thru 12 degree weather - coming from a Southern California'er, that is really cold. But it felt good. Now I'm in eastern Tennessee, into the civilized east where the internet does not drop often and there are more things to see.
